Once the powers from the container had gotten on Mori she fell on her kneels. The diviner who had done this wanted to disappear but found out to his utter shock that he could no longer be able to do so. He was scared because he knew that having restored the powers of the one whom he had treated so bad in the past there was no two ways about whether she was going to have to kill him for all that he had done to her and this was why he tried to escape, unknown to him that the person that caused him to be unable to escape was none other person but Mori. Mori's eyes had gone firery and she was breathing hard. Her father who was seeing what was happening wanted to go closer to her but his friend, the one that accompanied him to rescue his daughter held him by the hand and spoke, "I think you should not be in a hurry to go rescue her because with what I am seeing I do not think she needs help from anyone, infact what I think is that the person that needs help is the diviner who stands before her"
The diviner having realised that he would not be able to escape the hands of Mori fell to his kneels and remained like that. Mori grabbed him by his throat and then spoke to him aloud, her voice echoed in the air and for the first time her father, that was Mori's father witnessed what it was that his daughter carried with her. He continued to watch her while the diviner begged for his life.
The diviner begged for his life because he knew that his end had come but one thing which he was not aware of was the fact that Mori did not need to kill him any longer, what needed to have him killed was no longer Mori but the wrath of the gods which had been waiting for the right time to strick him..The god that appeared looked strange to the diviner and he cried out when his eyes beheld him, "Aah!" he shouted, "What has my eyes beheld, what has my eyes fell upon, is this not the god of the gods, the one who has the final say in the life of a man? If he is the one I stand condemned, if he is the one I have nothing else left in me to survive on, if he is the one I am nothing but a being seeking for his own death. I will die today and it would seem like there is nothing more for me in this life. What do I stand to gain, nothing, is this not what it is; that I face my own doom, that I face my destruction because I did not listen to the gods. god of the gods, it is time for you to take me away from this wicked world, this wicked world where I existed and having existed in it I became aware of the things which I should not have been aware of and here I am, seem as a man that has made a mistake that would cost him his own life. I am ready to go then since there is no remedy for this sickness of mine, since there is no redemption for me I am ready, everly ready to join my own ancestors"
"Ancestors?" spoke the god of the gods and his anger arose, his hair flared up and went up in flames. In his right hand was his judgment staff which he uses to strick rebellious ones. He stretched it towards the diviner and then said to him, "You have no shame in you. I had thought that before now you would learn from those that came before you. I had thought that you would be able to understand why things go the way that we plan but who are we, who are the gods who have nothing to show for ourselves but the instant measure of our own doom. Let it be known then that what killed you is not me but your own greed. Yes, your own greed has caused you your own life and that is what it is" The god then had the diviner killed right there. That was not the wish of Mori, Mori never wished death for the diviner, instead what he wished for him was that he be able to find a way to have his punishment and then after that learn his lessons and having learnt his lessons then go ahead and be a changed man, accepted by the gods once again but having had to witness his own death he had realised that she had no power to change his fate. She turned to look at the god and having realised that there was nothing else she was able to say to him went down on her knees and stayed like that.
After Mori had finished narrating this story to Adere's mother while they seated in the dungeon in the palace of the king of Abah Adere's mother heaved a sigh of relief and then looked at Mori before she said to him, "I am convinced of what you carry. There were things that you said, things that I never thought was going to be able to make any sense to me but when you told me those things I was left with nothing but to look your way and be reassured of who you are. Well, we are here now, trapped in this place, unable to make a move. I wonder what they want from my son" said Adere's mother.
"What else would they want from him..I have learnt that great men rise by meeting troubles. What I think is that Adere, your son is now on the way to make his mind be caught up on the things that made sense. He will rise and fight for not just himself but for others"
Adere's mother was lifted at heart when she heard this from Mori. She did not know what to think but one thing she was sure of was that she had begun to see Mori as her own daughter. It reminded her that despite the fact that she lost her own biological daughter way back before she gave birth to Adere she did not think she still felt lost there with Mori. She held her hand and said to her, "I know that you have not lied to me concerning everything that you believe in about my son and I am willing to make sure that everything goes well the way that it is supposed to go. I have not begun already to allow things to happen but then I am privileged to have you as my own daughter" Mori was elated that Adere's mother refered to her as her daughter, it made her fell hers and at peace..She held her hands tighter and said to Adere's mother,."I know that in your heart you are not certain what tomorrow holds for your son but the gods know and they are the ones that chose him for what he will become. I must tell you mother, if I must call you that, that you must not sorry yourself or feel terrible for the things that will happen, infact I would like you to play along with it all. Be the one who brings your son to this divine destiny that the gods have set for him. I know how hard it will be for you but if you play along with the king of Abah and his watchers you stand able to make a move that will sustain you for a long time. I have what it takes to make this move but what I am not sure of is if there will ever be a reason for my existence. Let it be made known that I am with your u throughout this whole episode of your life; the episode when your son becomes what he has always been destined to be. Do you understand me?" asked Mori but Adere's mother was not sure if she was getting it at all. She adjusted herself where she was seated on the floor and then said to her, "I do not know much if truth must be told. What I do know is that despite the fact that I am very much aware of how things go I am not sure if it is what it is that it has become. I will wait to see what it is that you meant by what you have just said now. My son is my only child and you have come to make me feel like a mother with a daughter once again. it means much more to me than you may not be able to imagine. Please my daughter permit me to ask you this question" Mori nodded and Adere's mother continued, "Thank you my daughter. Okay what this means is that I am willing to know your stand in my son's life and in the life of mine; what will you do if you are offered a hug amount to betray him?"
Mori looked at the woman in the eyes and chuckled. He was not sure if there was anything that could become the reason behind it but one thing that he was aware of was the fact that nobody would stand against one another. At that moment Adere's mother stood up and then said, "I have believed in you but I just need this one promise from you"
"Mother, you sound scared and like a woman without faith. Have I not told you to have faith, have I not told you times without number that I am not for another but only for the gods. How can someone who stands for the gods have any more reason to look at another being. Even kings can not buy me over. There is something that I would like you to know mother and this which I would like you to know is so very simple; I am for the gods and the gods having bought me over, saved me countless times, assured me and reassured me of my position in their domain I have no reason whatsoever to shy away from the path that they have created, instead my utmost concern is to have one simple thing to do in life and that is to do only their will. Please do not feel like I am being disloyal by sounding this way and not making this promise but what I am already making you now is beyond promise, it is a vow" At that moment what Adere's mother realised was that she was able to trust Mori. Mori stood up and they held each other. Just then the king who had come there few seconds back cleared his throat and they were startled, they were startled because they were not sure how long he had been standing there and looking at them. They both looked at each other and wondered what he was going to do next.
"I am not here to make your lives miserable. What am I actually saying? I am not here to tortured you and I have not brought you here and locked you up here because I derive joy in keeping people in discomfort but you see a man does what he has to do to get what he has to get, most times to get what will benefit himself and his family but on my own side I must say that a king has to do even more than a mere man has to do in order to get what he has to get not just for himself but for his people, for the benefit of his own people. I have decided to do what I have to do for you sakes even though you have not realised it. I know that with time you will know why I am doing what I am doing. I am going to be talking to you all as if I have not spoken to you before now, this will be to make you understand better the reason why you are here with me. Well, I learnt that if there is a conflict it can take just two people to start it but if it is for battle it can take more than two people, it can take an army to fight in a battle.
