Chapter 56

2107 Words
The man with Edu did not know what else to say in order to convince Edu that he did not mean any harm towards him or that he did not want to jeopardize whatever it was that he refered to as his mission. It was too late for him though because what was happening there was that Edu was going to kill him and the reason behind his quest to kill him was to stop him from forcing him to go back with him and also to stop him from telling the rest at the rocks that he (Edu) had taken his own path. He pushed the old man and he fell heavily on the ground. Immediately he fell Edu picked a very heavy stone. He was planning to stone him right there on his head and have him dead instantly but one thing stopped him fona second and that was when he looked at the man straight in the eyes and it seemed like he was looking at his father's eyes. He paused because he needed to ask himself what it was that his father had done for him that would make him pause or get emotional seeing himself about to kill someone that resembled him. He was going to let go of the heavy stone on his head and there was nothing that would stop him. He was not ready to allow anything serve as a hindrance to his departure and so he let go ofmthe heavy stone on the head of the man and the man let out a loud cry and then died. Edu left that scene at once and the lifeless body of the man laid on the ground near a heap of sand. At the place where Adere and Renu found each other, Renu was not comfortable with the way things had become..He was not sure if he was going to be able to make it just simply because someone said they would. He was not ready to keep looking from left to right imagining things that are not actually there for them to imagine. He stood there, wondering what exactly that had become the reason behind their downfall, why they had been looking for something and yet not seeing it. "I am getting worrier every passing second. I do not know what we are going to do now but one thing which I am aware of is that it is time for us to set our hearts towards what we are looking for. We are not sure yet what has happened to them but I assure you that it we keep looking for them we will be able to find them" Renu spoke and at that moment Adere gave her a smile and she returned it immediately. She was beginning to develop some feelings for him but she was not ready to be discussing all of that with him, not with the kind of situation that they had found themselves into. She stood there looking at his face and wondering if he had something in his mind and ofcouse he had something in his mind and that was what he would do if he did not get to set his eyes on his mother again. He remained there and kept wondering what exactly had become of the one that stood before him. That instance Adere said to her, "You know my mother has always suffered and before now she had always told me of how much she would want me to have the best life in this world. This has always been her dream and then I am not surprised that she had at one time decided to leave everything for my sake and when I had the opportunity to repair her war broke out in our land and everyone ran for his or her dear life. What this means is that it is possible that we are not going to allow things to happen the way that they are supposed to happen. Nobody is ever going to say or do anything that is outside the plan of the gods. All I want to do is to have my mother enjoy what she had never been allowed to enjoy" Adere was heavy at heart as he said these words and Renu could tell that he was becoming so emotional. She then said to him, "We all had this past where we would not wish to return to what makes life so interesting is the fact that we are still alive despite all that we have been through. We have always decided to do what is right and most times when we look at the way things work it is always as if we are not going to do it the right way. What has anything got to do with what was at stake. Let us keep out heads up high and keep following the right route to where we have chosen to go. If by the help of the gods we are able to reach where we are supposed to reach it is beyond question if we are going to rescue but we are actually going to be able to rescue them. We are going to rescue your mother and Mori and all of us will be together again" assured Renu. "Most times when you speak with so much confidence and assurance and I look at the way that you make those words sound out of your mouth I begin to ask myself; how is it that you do this? Well I have nothing else to say except that I have chosen to believe in your words just as much as I have chosen to trust in you, in us, in the fact that we will be able to achieve whatever it is that we have chosen to get our fingers on and thereby make a way for ourselves and achieve what we have set our minds and hearts towards to achieve without a twinkling of an eye" They both immediately left that spot. In the land of Agori, the king of Agori was not down to believe that nothing was going to stop Aboro from believing in his ideology. He rose from his seat and said to Aboro, "Since you have decided to be the one who makes things hard for me I will make you to understand that there is nothing like what you are saying; I refuse to adhere to anything that has to do with your ideology. Your ideology has no effect in what I stand to achieve. You are only trying to make things hard for us and most importantly there is nothing that can have any other effect in me. Go ahead Aboro and have yourself thrown into the prison. Since you have decided to be a woman I will have to have my men treat you as one. I hope you know what it means to have so much eyes on the very thing that makes all sense and all life" The king them stood up and shouted "guards!!!" and at that moment guards in the palace came running inside to answer to their king. The king then told them that it was not actually what they thought but that it was what they believed in. What I am never going to allow was to let you be the reason behind what will serve as my downfall. What else do you want to achieve with this your character if not your own downfall?" Aboro was not ready to answer to all of that and he was not ready to start thinking of how on Earth he was going to be able to make the king to understand his point of view. He decided to give up. Whatever it was that the king was preparing to do to him he was ready to let him do it without putting up a fight, and yes, the king was ready to do something to him. He immediately ordered the guards that had run in to the palace to grab the man called Aboro and the guards even though they hesitated for they were still scared of the man Aboro they apprehended him and then got ready to know what else the king of Agori had to say and then the king said to them, "Go ahead and put the greatest warlord inside the palace cells and let him stay there until I deem it right to have him either brought out or readied for execution" The guards were not shocked but they were afraid for if by any chance Aboro decided to change his mind and decided to resist arrest then there would be terrible bloodshed in the palace. They guarded him slowly and carefully until he was out of the throne room and they headed to the cell room with him. He did not struggle neither did not blink an eye of hatred towards the guards that were leading him to the palace cell. There when they had gotten there before the cell gate they lowered him on the ground and they stood there waiting for him to give them any Instructions. Even though Aboro was now a prisoner they still thought it wise to stand before him and take orders from him. None of them wanted to dream disrespecting him because even in his weakness they feared him. As Aboro sat there he noticed that the guards had not left instead they were there waiting before him and he raised his head and asked them, "Why do you stand there then?" They looked at him and said, "We wait for the Instructions from you concerning what you would like to eat. We can not say that we are ready to allow anything to be the reason many things are happening but if we are going to allow anyone to the be the reason why many things are going astray then let it be son. Aboro said to them, "Go on and do not bother yourself concerning what I would like to eat or what I would like you to do for me. You have to know that I am now a prisoner and a prisoner should have no choice. You should not treat me with the same respect that you have treated me with in the past because as it is I am no more important than the least of you and the least of you is not as important as the last good person here in this Kingdom" The way Aboro now spoke made the guards to admire him. They looked at one another and wondered what exactly was wrong with him. They did not know why suddenly he began to make things seem difficult for them by speaking in parables. They kept wondering why on Earth and why exactly he chose to be the person that he was at that moment. "Permit me to ask you this if I must; why have you decided to change all of a sudden, I mean men in your caliber are known to grow from strength to strength, from power to power, from fame to fame, from glory to glory and not from glory to grass. You have achieved a lot for yourself and in the past few years the whole kings of this part of the world celebrated your prowess. I do not know and it still baffles me how all of a sudden you decided to change and not only did you decide to change you decided to speak words that only grey haired ones are known to speak. I have come to realize that despite the fact that you have begun to have so much confidence in yourself there are things that you are still required to know and one of them is that the people you are dealing with understand nothing aside power, influence and glory. They will stop at nothing until they have achieved what they have set their minds towards to achieve. You know what it means when you continue to make it look like you are not ready to listen to them..They can do anything for power, for fame and for glory, even if it meant taking you down in such a way that you will become an abject of ridicule and disgrace in this whole land. I would not want that to be your portion. You have always been a warrior that I respected so much..Do not begin now to make things so hard for yourself for even now nobody will believe this" said one of the guards.
