Chapters 72

"I know that deep down your heart you are wondering how on Earth you would be the one dragging your own son to his early grave but then there is something which you need to understand and one of those things is the fact that you can not be the one who then stops him from becoming what the gods have destined him to become. You yourself have seen what I have been telling you and you confirmed it many atimes that your son is a gifted one and having become a gifted one all that you need to do in order to get your hands in the things that matter the most is to go ahead and become one of them. Let things that would seem like a thing of the past seem like that but focus on what the future holds for us. Focus on today and tomorrow. I have already been told by your son to help him take this step of becoming that which the gods have destined him to be. You see, to me that is the first step that he should take and he has taken it ,thereby bringing me to the understanding that he knows what it is that is required of him. I am so much elated that things like this happen. Now it is time for us to come together in order to have our minds met in so many ways..There is nothing that we will be able to achieve if we are not united" Mori wanted Adere's mother to excises hope and keep her hope alive. Adere's mother having listened to her for a while then put her hand into hers and said, "I have heard all that you have got to say and I am sure without being told that if you are the one who is designed to be my son's way of meeting his destiny, his destiny of saving humanity then so be it and then here is what I have to beg of you; that you teach him all that he needs to know, that you put him through the basic things that he needs to undergo in order to gain trust. I have tried to make amends where there is no amendment but then let it be known that there is always a thing or two which has given us a very bright begining. Let your teaching my son what he needs to know continue to be the very reason I am very much alive. Give me the love you would want to give me at any time now and use that same love to put my son through his required training to be able to stand for what his destiny entails" Both women gave each other a hug and Adere's mother nodded for her. She went back to sit with Adere and what she said to him was ,"Are you ready for your training?" Adere looked at her straight in the eyes and did not have to respond for her to know that he was ready for his training.

In the land of Agori the king rose from his seat, having gotten tired of the occurrences and what seemed to be his loses he said to his generals, "I have become vulnerable and this vulnerability can mean many things, unimaginable things and this is why I have decided to call you all here. You see, I would have decided to do what every king would do but having to see that there is nothing so special about anything there is nothing that we are going to be able to do. Let us unite now and go to our desired place where we are required to have an encounter with the Divine truth. Other kings will soon start to have interest in our land. You all know how these things work. They will soon start to come over here to stop us from functioning, they will soon start to attack us, using one or two reasons that are not reasonable enough. We have to come to the point of unity whereby having known that Aboro is no longer on our side and having known too that anything can happen and Aboro might be going to join one of our enemies this Kingdom can be attacked at any time. Unite brothers and let your swords be sharpened for what lies ahead, let your hearts be hardened for what lies ahead and let your minds be prepared for what lies ahead, let your will and your zeal be prepared and let your wives keep their love aside for what you will be facing will be beyond whatever it is that you expect and love is not going to help. We do not need love right now instead what we need is war, even though we do not need it it will come to us because our vulnerability is going to be an invitation to all the greedy kings that surround us, and they will come for our heads, for our throne and for our wives. This is not what we want, this is not what we deserve but the we deserve even more, we need to focus even more on the things that matter the most. Let us understand one another and focus on one another instead of allowing the things that should have become a problem to become a problem. Let us then unite so that things will become so easy for us. Let us not continue to look beyond what is already facing us, using it to escape what is to come"

The generals and the top commanders of the army of the land of Abah then decided to go and do exactly what their king had Instructed them to do. As they moved out they kept murmuring.

Where Edu was lying there were two ladies from the land of Abah who were in the bush to fetch some honey and they saw him lying face down. They had to stand a way from him and one of them by name Amina said, "I have never seen such a thing before. Is that person dead or still alive?" Dume who was not surprised at the question from her friend who was fond of asking useless questions said to her, "Amina, you are talking like a child. I am here with you and both of us saw him at the same time. You are now asking me this question as if I got here before you. The reason you like asking questions especially irrelevant questions is what still baffles me, I mean I still find it hard to comprehend"

The two ladies decided to go closer so as to know if the young man on the ground was still breathing. They carefully walked up to him and then used a stick to pinch him at the back. The one that was doing the pinching was Amina and Dume stood aside and kept watching. She was prepared to run Incase if anything happened. When Amina had pinched him for a while and realised that he was not shaking she turned to Dume and said to her, "He is not moving. He does not look like he has been here for a long time, which means we can actually do our best to help him, help him save his life"

"Help him save his life. Is it not dangerous already that we came down here irrespective of the fact that the ancient beast is still roaming about looking for who to devour and now we are here to stand before someone, a total stranger and you want us to rescue him? How sure are you that he is not pretending to be sick or dead. My advise is that we walk out from this bush and head back home. If we want to help him the best we can do for him is to go out there and get people to come here and help him. The help he needs he needs from a stronger arms not this arms of ours. If we say we want to help him how are we going to be able to do that?"

Amina thought for a while and somehow believed that if they were to go and come back by the time they would return the person lying down there must have died. This she thought about and decided that they were going to do their best to rescue him from that condition. This was not how it was supposed to be but Amina was so compassionate that he would not have herself go away from a person that clearly needed her help. She said to Dume, "I am sorry to say this Dume but I am not going to abandon him here alone. You do not know why the gods of this land made it possible for us to see him. Do you not know that this must be the saviour that had been talked about would come to save us? Let us be mindful of the fact that when the gods have sent help most times the help will look like a burden or even like a demand from us..We are here to see this help as a demand from us but if we have clearer eyes we would see beyond a burden or a demand but a help that has come to us"

"You like to dream you know. I see that you enjoy dreaming but if truth be told you and I know that if this was a trap we are doomed, if this was a set-up we would not be able to leave here alive" said Dume.

"And nothing has told you that if this was a trap we would not be standing here alive by now, infact we would be dead by now because he would have gotten up to have us both under his mercy" said Amina before she then decided to have Edu shaken where he was with her hands. She moved him until he was facing up and for the first time he saw how handsome he was. She did not know if Dume took notice of that handsomeness but she was not going to talk about that. The both of them kept looking at once another and Dume said, "It seems you are right after all, I think surely he needs our help" They helped him by dragging him back under the same tree that he was seated under when the watcher came to him and attacked him. When the two ladies had lowered him down they began to talk on what next that they were going to do. They took notice of his beating heart and knew that he was still alive.

In the chamber where Mori was with Adere it was time for them to start Adere's training and Adere was first to sit then Mori sat facing him. She presented her two hands and asked him to place his hands in hers and Adere did so.

"Now the training will begin" said Mori.

The two of them having held each others hands Mori told Adere to close his eyes which he did without hesitation and after he had closed his eyes he found out that he was no longer seated with Mori but that he found himself in a strange hut. He was lying down inside the strange hurt and then he had to sprang up and run outside. He saw a young lady smashing firewood with a small axe and kept looking at her. the lady turned and looking at him she smiled at him but Adere did not return that smile because already he was confused, scared and unable to understand what it was that brought him there, how he managed to get there and what he was doing there. He needed an explanation and the lady was not helping issues as she kept staring an smiling at him. Just then an elderly woman emerged and looking at Adere she raised both hands in the air and thanked the gods. Adere still could not understand what was happening and so he had to say something. When he spoke he realised that the two women were not able to understand him. They spoke strange language and when he tried to understand them he felt a sharp pain in his head.

"What is it you want to eat? Whatever it is that you would want to eat just name it and I will help you to have it. Do not be afraid because you are already in safe hands" said the young lady before she dropped the axe in her hand. Adere who who could not understand a single word from what she said decided to say something to them, "I do not understand anything that you have said. Help me to understand more what you mean. Maybe I will be able to understand what you mean" The women looked at one another and the elderly man said, "There is only one person who can interpret your language to us but it means we have to pay him to do that" Adere still did not understand them and he was not sure if he was going to be safe in the hands of company of the two strange people. The elderly woman walked up to him and said, "Hey we found you somewhere, a place where humans are not allowed to go to. When we heard that a human had gone there we went there to drag him out and have him killed but we were told that you came from another world and that we should not touch you. I know that you do not understand our language but do not bother yourself at all. I will make sure that you find the reason behind why you are here. We have never received a visitor from another world but we always believed that there is an another world. Welcome to this place and have your seat"

Adere who only followed the signal of the elderly woman took his seat but he never stopped wondering what was happening.

Back in the palace of the king of Abah there had been this worry in the mind and heart of Adere's mother who thought that the two could be in danger; that was Adere and Mori and she insisted that she had to go in and see how they were fairing. When she entered she realised that there was nothing else to see except the both of them seated, facing each other with their legs curled and their hands in each other. She did not know what to say or what to do. It was during this time that the Adere's mother was informed that a lady has entered the palace and was inquiring of Adere. She decided to go and see the person that had entered the palace to look for Adere. She thought that the person that must have been said to have entered the palace to look for Adere was none other person but Renu. Renu who was beginning to grow impatient with the absence of Adere decided that she was not going to continue to remain in the place where Adere left her for long before going to meet with him and after she had met with him she would have to ask him why he did not bother to come to check on her after he must have seen with his mother and had a conversation with the king of Abah. When she entered she was taken to stand before Adere's mother and when she saw Adere's mother in her fine cloth she looked at her from head to toe before giving her a warm hug. Adere's mother was almost in tears as she said to Renu, "I am happy that you took good care of him. Now he has come to me and I am still wondering if I am still the owner of my son. I know that you wonder why he was not making it possible to come to you after he had entered the palace leaving you behind where you were kept by the men of the palace to wait. I am sorry but a lot of things are happening already and I am sure, very much sure that it takes nothing to see what it means. Let me then give you a hint and believe that there is nothing that can not be done. Come with me and see for yourself what destiny has turned my only son into, what destiny has turned my son Adere to. Just come with me and see things for yourself my daughter"
