After the death of the wife of the king of Abah the king grew from being cruel to being ruthles. He would hang just anybody and he would not blink his eyes for a second before carrying out most of his disastrous acts. On the day that he discovered from the watchers of the land of Abah; the watchers who were known to be devilish for if it was said that they were not devlish how were they able to keep mute over all the things that the king of Abah had been doing. Nobody heard from them during the time that they did what they did. Nobody could stand them. If anybody could stand them maybe there was a way to could have had things played out. On the day that they paid the king of Abah a visit in his palace to inform him of their new discovery the king was eating when he was informed that the watchers had come to see him. He immediately stopped eating and told them to come in at once. The watchers entered and revealed to the king that there had been a new discovery on how they were going to be able to defeat the only creature that stood against them and all they were able to achieve on earth. "King of our great land, you know that it is said that a toad does not run in day time for nothing, it is either he is being chased by something or he is after something. You know that normally we are not expected to come out here but here we are with you because we are certain of some of the things that are needed to be done..We are here to inform you that finally the gods have revealed the secret of how we can be able to defeat that Ancient Beast that has made us afraid for ages. When we finally apply this method we will be able to get rid of him once and for a all and then we will be given the power to do as we wish and ensure that we raise the pillars of this kingdom above the pillars of any other kingdom here on earth" said one of the watchers. The king was so pleased with the way things were going..He was so happy that finally the watchers were able to find the solution to his nightmare; the ancient beast had been the one restricting him from taking on his whole armour of wickedness and he had been waiting patiently for a time when he would be able to be free from the threatening eyes of the beast. He could recall the first time he set his eyes on that beast, that was long ago but he had never for once stopped thinking about that day. On that very day he was hunting with the rest of his hunting men inside the thickest part of the forest of Abah. On that day he stood there transfixed and just staring at the beast as it stare right back at him. He still could not tell why the beast did not kill him on that day but somehow he knew that the beast left him alive to intimidate him the more. He knew that if he succeeded in killing the beast there would be nothing out there for him to fear again and the whole of the world would be simply be in his pocket. He stood there looking at the ancient as the beast came closer to him. What he had never expected in his entire was to have the beast speak to him. He was never told or he never imagined that there would be anytime he would experience that. The beast after having eaten all those that were with him walked up to him where he was standing and standing before him it brought his face closer to him and smelt his face. The beast had red eyes and he looked angry. He was so gigantic that the tall trees there in the forest competed with his height. He stooped over the king and smelt his face once again and then all of a sudden the beast started to walk away. After it had walked a few steps away from the king he stopped and then turned once again to face the king and spoke to him, "Are you shocked that I did not attack you, you that killed your own family? Do you not know that you are as evil as me? If I kill you I will have no one to show my superiority. I will have you alive so that you will always know and remember that there is someone greater and more dangerous than you are. Any day that you forget I will make sure that I remind you. I have decided not to kill you so you had better leave this forest and return to your palace, having it in your mind and in your heart that I spared your life, king of Abah" the beast then walked away. The king had stood there and there was this feeling of bitterness that enveloped his heart. He looked embarrassed and even though he could not deny himself the truth which said he would have begged the beast to spare his life if the beast had moved to have him killed. What he was so sure of was the fact that he was not going to allow things like that to work out the way that they were supposed to work out. He remained there contemplating why he had decided to go to the forest for hunting in the first place. He could not imagine himself going back to his palace with the king of humiliation that the beast gave to him. He was still there thinking when he heard a horse neighing behind him; that was one of the horses of his men that got tore apart by the angry beast. He mounted the horse and sped off the forest. That day as the watchers stood before him to tell him of how they had found a means by which they could be able to bring the beast to it's kneels the king was so eager to hear it all. He pressurized them to go on and tell him exactly what they were going to tell him. "Very well my king. Let me now tell you exactly what I have in mind, I am sure that despite the fact that the beast had given us so much troubles we have not found a means by which we will be able to have it killed or tamed or however you want it. You know that there is a land called the land of Zinu and in the land of Zinu they are always at war with their neighboring Kingdoms, especially the kingdom of Agori in which the one Aboro was in charge of it's army. You know that the land of Zinu has nothing compared to the kingdom of Agori and that they also do not have anything to offer any Kingdom but there is something that they have and that thing is very precious to us. They have someone that is destined to either tame the beast or kill it. We have decided that since we have this information we only need to seek for the rest of the information which is required to take us straight to the place where the chosen one is and when we must have laid out hands on him we will then force him to..." "No" the king said and stood up, "You will not have to force him by dragging him Incase you find him because such a person is not to be forced else if he dies we will never have another chance so here is what will happen. We need someone that we can confide in, someone that will help us seek for what is most important to this person that you speak of for when we must have discovered what this person has in his heart we will be able to harvest it and take it. He will be forced to look for it and then we will provide it to him in exchange for his service. We do not need to use our force now but our heads. Do you understand?" The watchers looked at each other and believed that the king had made a great point. They then said to him, "If we are going to follow this idea of yours our king then it means much work because we will have to gather much more informations that will expose us to what we need to act. Nevertheless we are ready for this for when all things have been achieved we stand to gain a lot from it all. You know that it is always said that a man who becomes great knows the value of power. A man who becomes rich knows the value of money. We are going to get to work at once and let the gods of this land guide us as we go" The king bared them goodbye and off they went. The king sat back on his seat and as he sipped his drink he said to himself, "Yes, it is about time I became the head of this world. Men and women will come to me and seek me, children will have my name in their lips because I will surely become the most important person in his whole wide world"
