Adere was not comfortable with what Renu was saying but somehow he believed her; there was actually nothing that she stood to gain and thus had no reason to make him hate Edu.
"What has kept me going with him is the fact that he was there for me and for the rest of us during the time that we were escaping from the land of Zinu"
"That is enough to love and trust a friend but things change and people change too. You do not expect him to still be the same person that you have always known him to be all these while when nature has presented him a opportunity to change. You know why I am saying these things? It is for you to understand that I would rather die than to have him bring us down for some reasons best known to him. I witnessed the death of of your father and if we are to start talking about those that saved our lives we have to start from your father, your father who saved us, your father who saved my kid brother. You have to know this to be a fact that in my mind and in my heart the only man that saved me when I really needed his saving was your father. He stood right there fighting off those men and even faced the great man Aboro before he lost his life. I am not going to put him aside and pretend like it is nothing. What I am saying is that it is better that we begin now to look for a way to make things better instead of allowing things to be the reason things do not work" The lady Renu walked out to join Edu where he was claiming the rocky mountains to inspect the place. Adere sighed and joined them.

In the land of Zinu and inside the room where Rira had refused to leave the presence of the one that was known to be brutal, Aboro Aboro decided to hit her and know if that would be enough to make her reconsider. He raised his hand but then Rira said to him,
"Is that it now? You are just going to hit me the way that you are trying to do now. Is that what Aboro is all about, Aboro from the land of Agori is nothing but a weakling who is good at hitting women? I am not disappointed because if it is true that you can kill it can also be true that you can do whatever is not expected of you. What do you want me to do now that I am not doing? you want to hit me because I insist that you tell me things about yourself. If you were not a human may be I would not have come closer to you but you are still a human and you are still flesh and blood. it is clear that something troubles you within but if you are willing to let go that which troubles you then you have nothing to fear any longer. There is one thing about men like you, men that have developed what it is that is needed to become legends, to become gods among men. What you have done you have just decided that it was going to be able to bring forth what is needed to make things work. I am saying this now because inside me I know quite alright what it is that is needed to make things work. All you have to do is to trust me and to believe that I can calm this storm within you. I can tell you how to calm this storm, I can actually tell you how to make things better for yourself. You can trust me with all you have got. If you look at me and if you have seen what I have done; coming here to stand before you and to insist that you tell me what it is that bothers you then you should know for sure hat I am ready to know you and that I have the nerves to want to know you no matter what it takes"
At that moment Aboro did not need anyone to tell him that Rira had actually exhibited strength and what she has said to him was actually true. He sighed and began to walk back to the room and Rira followed him suit. When he had seated back on the bed she stood there before him and kept looking at him.
"You want to know what bothers me? you really would like to know what troubles my mind right? Nothing troubles my mind than seeing you insisting before me. I have been feared by kings and I have been feared by warlords, I have killed lions and leopards. I have single handedly killed four lions at the same time and when the lions first saw me they saw another beast that they became afraid of. Yes, the beasts became afraid of me and I would wonder why that is so. You see my dear there are atimes when things would look like there is nothing else that need to be done but having said this it is actually one of those things. Right now I am troubled because if kings could stand before me and say the things that you now say, if the beasts of this world could not stand me but you could stand me it shows that you have something that no one I had ever met in my life had. You have something in you that have humbled me. But I am not going to go into all the details because to me I have only one thing that my mind tells me is the best thing to do and that is to gather and not to scatter. Meanwhile having said this I will now tell you what it is that bothers me;
If you look clearly you will see that we have laid your home town to waist. There is nothing else that remain in the land of Zinu to stop us or to challenge us. You can see for yourself that we have come here and we have come with victory. What you are supposed to know now that you are asking me so many questions at the same time is that I am no longer comfortable with the way things are going with my emotions. I mean I no longer can hold myself together. I keep thinking that I have made a terrible mistake by coming to unleash terror in this land. This is what bothers, what bothers me is why I am bothered that I did all these damages. So right now I am bothered because I am truly in good terms with the idea that nothing could have made me feel like this if not the fact that I am neither in support of what had happened or not in support. You see I have known your name now and that is also a problem"
"How is that a problem? I mean how is knowing me now a problem?" asked Rira.
"Not knowing you. Already I know that you are from this land but what I mean by what I said is that i should have no business with whatever it is is your name, I mean it should not be to my problem or to my bothering but I asked you, and it is strange that I asked you, it is even more strange that I am still here with you talking. I have given you and the rest the liberty to go on your way but you have said that you are not going to go just like that because there is no way for you and the rest to go to. Well, I am not doubting the fact that you are saying this but the reason I am saying that you should go is because I really would not want you to be drawn to those that I have come into your land with, those ones are brutal and if they sense any atom of resistance of weakness in me they will take it upon themselves to execute you and the ones that are with you. Do you now understand why I am insisting that you must go now with the rest of you? You should do just that and do not say that it does not matter because it does matter"
"Is that all?" asked Rira and Aboro looked up at her and asked,
"What do you mean by "is that all?".
"Yes, I mean is that all that bothers you? I mean you were already bothered before now and so this that you have just said could not have been the reason that you are sad or angry or sulky or whatever it is that you are feeling right now. I have told you that you can confide in me. I have told you that if you can do that believe me you will have nothing to be worried about. I can join with you to know the desires of you better"
At that moment the man Aboro looked up at her face and shrugged her shoulders. He was not convinced that the lady was actually real and that he himself had allowed her to stand there before him for that long. There was only one problem that he had and that was the king of Agori and what he could be planning by now.
