Angelic Lies

I knocked furiously on Enzo’s door the next morning. I wasn’t even shocked that he didn’t have a shirt on. He grinned upon seeing me. “Here to hear about how wonderful my date last night went?” “I saw how some of it went,” I admitted. “You were doing a lot of s****l things.” “We didn’t f**k though, and that’s all you said not to do. It was hard though…and I’m not just talking about my dick.” I scrunched my face up in disgust. “Did you guys at least have good conversations?” “Honestly, yeah. I found out some really interesting things about Mira. She’s really into the stars and things like that. We looked up at constellations last night and it was kind of fascinating.” “You were stargazing with Mira?” I asked. “Yeah, it was beautiful…Celine I think I really like her. Last night was incredible. Both the talking parts and when we started hooking up. She’s really passionate. Her hands are so soft and they felt so good when they were rubbing my-” “Okay that's more than I needed to know!” “I was going to say my abs. She loves feeling them.” Enzo smirked. “And her t**s, Celine…yeah they’re not uneven at all.” “Great to hear,” I said dully. “Come on, Celine, I thought this was what you wanted! I have a girlfriend that I’ll probably fall in love with. You should be a lot happier right now!” “I am, Enzo, really. That’s…I’m so glad you and Mira had a great time.” I forced a smile to my face. It was weird, but I wasn’t as happy as I seemed. I wasn’t sure why. Something felt strange about the two of them together. Maybe it was because they were opposites in so many ways. I mean I’m sure Enzo had never done stargazing before and Mira didn’t usually hook up on the first date. I guess they say opposites attract. “Okay, so what do you have for me about The Seraphic Paragon?” “I think I know who she is,” I sat down on the couch. “I’ve seen her in my dreams. Her name is Sela and she’s locked up in a castle.” “Like she’s been kidnapped?” “No, her parents keep her there so she can be safe. There’s this thing called The Depraved Fiend. It’s a man that sets out to kill Sela and absorb her power so he can take over the world. I think that’s who Alpha Rafe is working with. That’s who will be pleased.” I explained. “What does that have to do with you?” Enzo questioned. I bit my lip, unsure if I should tell him. I felt I had to now. We needed to have all the information we possibly could about this. “Um…so I have a theory…bear with me, Enzo,” I started. “I’ve been having dreams about Sela. Usually, angels don’t dream…not the normal way mortals do anyways. But I dream that I’m her. I can see how tortured she feels being locked up. I…am her!” “Okay, calm down Celine,” Enzo said soothingly. “What does that mean?” “Every time she uses her powers, it makes her easier to trace by The Depraved Fiend. So she’ll project her powers on other women to confuse The Depraved Fiend…I believe she’s projected two of her powers on me.” “What are they?” “Okay…so I lied to you…a few times. The man from your pack that was taken over by Hellions and attacked us, you asked what happened and…I saw into his mind, Enzo. I saw exactly what happened when the Hellions attacked.” “What the f**k, Celine,” Enzo breathed. “A-and then with the Flaming Incubus I saw into his mind too. He was talking to Alpha Rafe, that's how I know what he wanted with me and how he wanted to hurt you.” I whispered. “Why did you lie to me?” “I was so scared Enzo. Nothing like this has ever happened before! I-it’s not normal, neither is the healing!” “You told me angels could do that.” “Not like the way I’ve done it. It’s Sela’s powers. She’s projected them onto me. So I have to find her before The Depraved Fiend does and give her this power back so she can be at full strength to fight him.” “And you’re saying Alpha Rafe is already on the side of The Depraved Fiend?” Enzo asked. “I think he’s going to use him to kill you.” I admitted. “f**k. Celine, why…ugh why did you lie to me?!” “I’m sorry Enzo.” “You’re a f*****g angel, aren’t you like supposed to be holy or something?” “We’re not perfect, obviously. I just wanted to figure out what was going on with me before I mentioned it. I’m sorry, Enzo…I won’t lie to you again.” “You better not Celine. We cannot lie to each other, okay?” Enzo asked. “s**t is much too dire for that! You and I are a team! We ugh! I have to make a plan now! There’s so much to do!” There was a knock on Enzo’s door. “Come in!” Enzo called. “I’m sure it’s just Grey.” Mira opened the door and entered. “Hey, babe-oh. Celine, you’re here…so early in the morning.” “We had some things to discuss,” I stated. “Um, I heard the date went really well.” “It was perfect,” Mira smiled. Enzo got up and kissed Mira. “You look beautiful,” He smiled. “You look…sexy,” She rubbed her hands over his abs. Again that strange nagging feeling returned. Was I that worried about this not working out that I couldn’t even be happy that it was going so well now? “Um, I should go I guess? Give you two privacy?” I asked. “Actually you stay Celine,” Enzo stated. “I’m sorry, Mira, we have to talk strategy.” “Oh um…okay, I guess I’ll see you later?” “Of course.” He kissed her. “Bye Celine,” Mira waved. “See you later Mira,” I smiled. I hated how happy I was that she was leaving. “Actually Mira?” Enzo asked. Oh he was going to ask her to stay. “Could you tell Beta Grey to come here?” “Oh um…sure babe.” “We’re not going to tell him I’m an angel right?” I asked. “No, of course not,” Enzo assured me. “Good, I don’t want him to look at me differently. I like how he looks at me now.” “And how does he look at you?” “Like he’s seeing his first sunset.” I smiled. A few moments later, Grey entered the room. His green eyes lit up when he saw me. There was that look. “What’s up?” He questioned. “We have to discuss what you and Celine found out last night about the Seraphic Paragon.” “Grey was the one who found it,” I informed him. “Celine was the one who connected the dots though,” Grey smiled. “Apparently she’s got some of the powers right?” “Exactly,” Enzo nodded. “We need to figure out who to get her to.” “What about the Bonepikes?” “I thought you didn’t like them.” “I don’t, but I know they have Tracers. They should be able to find this Sela girl right?” Grey asked. “That is true,” I nodded. “Do you think we’re ready to venture out there?” Enzo questioned. “It’s dangerous. Some of us might not come back.” “That’s for you to decide, Alpha Enzo,” Grey said quietly. “Do you think we’re ready?” He sighed. “I think so. With Celine’s knowledge and temporary powers and the rest of the group’s fighting I think we can do this. We have to.” “So we’re going to the Bonepikes then?” I asked giddily. “What are you so excited for?” Enzo questioned. “I’ve never been on a quest before. This is going to be fun.”
