My neck was in pain as I woke up. I groaned and looked around. I was still on Enzo’s couch. I sat up and stretched my sore neck out. I had used his shoulder as a pillow, but unfortunately it wasn’t as comfortable. Enzo groaned as his eyes fluttered open. They were kind of beautiful in the morning. “What are you doing here?” He asked. “Did we f**k and I forgot about it?” “You wish,” I yawned. “I think we fell asleep reading.” “Well that’s a first for me,” He chuckled. “Thanks for helping me out.” “No problem, I love reading.” I stood up and stretched. “I should go shower.” “I have one here, Celine.” I rolled my eyes. “I cannot wait for you to fall so deeply in love with Mira you won’t look at another woman, including me.” “Well until that happens…shower?” He grinned. I turned and walked out of his chambers. Filthy werewolf. -- “You’re a tease, Celine.” “Why?” I asked Luc. “You said you’d come to my room last night and you didn’t…I waited up all night for you.” He pouted. “I’m sorry, but I went to Alpha Enzo’s room last night.” His brow furrowed. “You’re…sleeping with Alpha Enzo?” “Literally yes I was but not in the s****l way.” I informed him. “But he told me not to go to your room and I have to listen to him.” “Maybe next time don’t tell him, hm? It can be our little secret.” Luc whispered. “Then we can actually spend some time together.” “If I go to your room, will you try to have s*x with me?” Luc was completely taken aback. “Um…this feels like a trick question.” “It’s not.” “I want to get to know you better, on a deeper level,” Luc stated. “Is that so wrong?” “Good morning you two,” Grey approached us. “How was your night?” “We didn’t have s*x,” I smiled. “Good.” Luc’s jaw clenched. “Remember what I said, Celine,” He leaned in close so that Grey couldn’t hear. “Our little secret.” I giggled and nodded before he sauntered off. “That guy is shameless,” Grey shook his head. “You ready for more training today?” I nodded eagerly. “Yes! Though I am a pacifist, fighting is actually kind of fun.” “You’re a natural at it too,” He winked. “You’ll be the best fighter here in no time.” “Even better than you?” Grey grinned. “Oh way better than me.” -- After a week of training I think I was really getting the hang of it! Grey and I would actually start sparring like the others tomorrow. I noticed the sparring between Enzo and Mira was becoming increasingly more s****l. There was something about the way landed on top of her and she’d stick out her butt into his crotch and I swear they were both moaning. Still Enzo claimed he didn’t like her that much. “It’s like when we’re fighting it’s great, but then she starts talking Celine, and I’m bored out of my f*****g mind.” “What does she talk about?” I asked. “Books and s**t. And she points out plants and just starts listing off facts about them.” “You like smart women.” “Yeah, when I f**k them. But if I’m just talking to them, I couldn't give a damn what a woman knows.” “She’s gonna be the Luna of your pack, she should know things!” I snapped. “But does she know how to suck d**k? Can she ride me for hours? How flexible is she?” He questioned. “Those are things I actually want to know about, but apparently I can’t ask those cuz that makes me ‘classless’ and ‘lack decorum’.” “That's true, Enzo! Love is about so much more than s*x!” “Again how would you know?” He challenged. “You’ve only been kissed. No one has ever touched you for real.” “Luc wants to,” I said haughtily. Enzo's eyes squinted. “That’s off the table. You can’t sleep with him.” “And why not?” “Because I said so. He’s a creep and a manwhore. No way my angel is going to sleep with him.” I crossed my arms stubbornly. “You don't get to say what I do with my body.” “Actually I think I do,” He whispered, leaning closer to me, his face inches away. “Remember, if I tell you to do something and mean it, you have to do it. I mean it when I say you can’t sleep with Luc.” I felt the jolt in my body and glared at him. I wasn’t sure why I was upset. I mean I didn't think I actually planned on doing anything with Luc, but what if I wanted to? “How do you expect me to know about s*x if you won’t let me have it?” I demanded. “I don’t know, but he’s not going to be the one to teach you, Celine.” Enzo smirked. “Pick another guy.” “You’re a jerk.” I huffed as I stood up. “I’d be shocked if Mira ever fell in love with you.” “You better hope she does, or you’re going to hell right?” “You know what? Maybe the Infernal Planes will be a little more pleasant than being around you!” I stomped away. “You’re no walk in the park either, sweetheart!” Enzo called before I slammed the door. Ugh, I just needed to get away from here for a bit! My wings were dying to be stretched out. I glanced around before hurrying to the edge of the forest. Sure we weren’t allowed to go out there, but I’m not really a part of the pack so that can’t pertain to me, right? I got a few feet into the forest before letting my wings spread. I took to the skies and instantly felt better. This was so much better than walking around and hiding my wings. This was real freedom. A part of me wanted to keep flying. Just leave Alpha Enzo and spend my last months alive traveling the world and seeing beautiful sights. But I couldn’t. I had to at least try to save my soul right? I smiled seeing the sun’s reflection on the glittering blue water as it was starting to set. Swirls of pink and orange were etched across the sky and the trees all had a golden hue on them against their rich green leaves. Earth was so stunning! Sure it was dirty and kind of smelly and people could be mean, but wow what a view! I dipped down and glided over the water, letting my fingers dance along the surface. If only I could be damned to Earth and be a mortal instead. I wouldn’t hate that too much. At least there would be sunsets. When I landed again, it was dusk and light was fading quickly. I was going to be late to dinner, but I didn’t care too much. I wouldn’t miss anything. As I walked, I heard a twig snap behind me. I whipped around and squinted through the darkness. “Hello?” I asked. There was another snap and I broke into a run. I had no idea what the heaven was chasing me, but I didn’t want to find out! The lights of the packhouse came into view! Maybe I could escape this! I cried out as I felt the flesh on my back burning. I fell to the ground breathing heavily through the pain. A heavy foot pressed down on my back. “Where are you going little wolfie?” A deep, gravelly voice asked. Thick fingers gripped my hair and lifted me off the ground. I screamed at the pain surging through my body . I found myself face to face with a Flaming Incubi. Completely black eyes and pale skin I swear you could see through. He was handsome in the most terrifying way. A very angular face with prominent cheekbones. Horns stuck out of his long dark hair and there was a smile on his face, showing off his sharp teeth. He was a beautiful nightmare. “Help!” I screamed. “Someone help me!” His other hand grabbed my throat to stop me from screaming. “Quiet,” He said in an almost bored tone. His casualness made him all the more terrifying. He rubbed his nose against me before licking up my face. Confusion showed in his eyes. “You’re the girl he speaks of, but…you’re not a little wolfie…so what creature are you?” I of course couldn't answer him. I was struggling to breathe. I tried to pull at his hands but it didn’t work. He merely laughed at my attempts. I instead tried to push his head away. Just like with the werewolf who had been cursed by the Hellions, I could immediately see in his mind. In front of the Flaming Incubi stood a handsome man. He had dark hair and tanned brown skin. There was anger in his light brown eyes and his incredible jaw was clenched. I noticed a deep scar over one of his eyes. “Go to the Bloodrose Banes and give Alpha Enzo a message from me,” He finally spoke in a raspy voice. “What message is that?” The Flaming Incubi asked. “A very unpleasant one. Let him know that this is just the beginning. I will come for him and I will kill him for what he’s done…after I make him suffer.” “So I shouldn’t kill him?” “No…the Clairvoyants have seen a woman with him. Red hair, violet eyes…delicate little thing. Take him from her and bring her to me. She is the key to Enzo's downfall…and she will lead us to The Seraphic Paragon and then my partner will be pleased.” “And how will Alpha Enzo know you took her?” The Flaming Incubi questioned. “He’s not as dumb as he looks. Now go bring her to me…unravished please.” He sighed. “Yes, Alpha Rafe.” The Flaming Incubi gasped and dropped me. I crumbled to the ground, wheezing. “What the f**k did you do?” He growled. “Celine?” I heard Grey’s voice. “Help!” I choked out as I got to my feet. The Flaming Incubi still seemed disoriented, but still lunged for me. I thought of everything that Grey had taught me about punching and swung with all my might. My fist collided with his face and I took off running again. My back still hurt more than anything but I didn’t want to be kidnapped. I was relieved when I saw Grey. I ran right into his arms. “What happened?” He asked. “Oh my god, your back, Celine!” “I was attacked!” I sobbed. “A-A Flaming Incubi!” I looked over my shoulder but didn’t see him anymore. “What’s going on?” Enzo ran over to us. “Celine what happened?” “Alpha Rafe,” I said weakly. Enzo's eyes widened. “He was here? Did he hurt you?” “He wants to kill you Enzo…and he also wants me.”
