CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Alexis chuckled at how rugged Kevin looked in his plaid shirt and snug jeans. She kept her eyes on his a*s, following him through the lush, green grass of the property.
Alexis wasn’t over the Gari stuff, but she enjoyed few things as much as being alone with Kevin.
They stopped at the three modest, two-story homes where the ranch hands lived with their families. Kevin got up to speed on the horses and how things were going with the property then he and Alexis moseyed through the trail, past the small mansion where he and Alexis stayed.
“Ouch.” Her foot turned, her black cowboy boot catching loose gravel.
“You okay?” Kevin stopped, maneuvering his cowboy boots as if he wore them every day.
