An Hour Later
“You’re still crying,” Grant said to Alexis as Ty pulled up to the entrance gates of the five-star Garland Hotel. “The play was supposed to be enjoyable not sad.”
“It was enjoyable.” Alexis dabbed her eyes, careful not to mess up her makeup. “The songs and the acting was so beautiful. I haven’t been to a play in a long time.”
Ty drove into the gigantic parking lot lit with tall lights for security and decoration.
“Funny you chose the Garland Hotel for dinner.” Alexis put the tissue back in her purse.
“How insensitive of me.” Grant scratched his leg. “You’re thinking of coming here with Kevin?”
