CHAPTER TWENTY
Alexis stood in her bedroom mirror Friday night and did another turn in her floor-length dress. She’d chosen the black and red paisley print, racerback maxi dress because it provided a subdued, sexy appearance. Nudist stiletto sandals finished her outfit with casual elegance. A mist of Black Opium perfume on her wrists provided a hint of the coffee bean, jasmine scent when she moved.
“Which earrings should I wear?” She studied her French roll in the mirror then grabbed the open Lattice drop earrings. The right one had a loose clasp so it sometimes slipped, but she did her best to tighten the clasp and slipped the earring onto her ear.
