Chloe's POV

After picking Kitty from school on her first day, Mr McLain went back to work. Even though I had asked him not to, he insisted that he would be the one to pick her on her first week and then Ian would be picking her up every day not wanting me to do even a little thing saying it might disturb the process.

As we sat in the living room with my sister telling me about all the exciting things at school, Mr McLain's wife decided to show up. I tensed up knowing it was time for more insults again.Kitty and I stood up then she decided to hide behind me. To my surprise the woman was happy, she said hello to me even to my sister.She even apologized to me and to Kitty about her behavior the day she met us then she asked her driver to bring out the toys she had brought for Kitty.she was sweet to me and my sister.

After doing that she said her goodbye and left. I couldn't quite believe what happened but I decided to assume that she was in a bad mood the two times I had met her.

The days passed by pretty quickly and soon it was the fourteenth day.This time, Mr.Mclain didn't ask Ian to take me to the hospital instead, he along with the wife came and picked me up.Once we reached Dr.Freddy's hospital, I noticed that he had alot of patients in line but when he realised that we had arrived, he immediately came to work on us.I guess that's how things work when you have money.After all the greetings, he went to work doing his tests.After a short while, he returned and handed Mr.Mclain the results.

“Congratulations sir, Ms.Chloe here is pregnant”He said

The moment I heard those words, my hands made their way to my belly.I was carrying a human being now.I looked at the parents of the unborn baby and realized that Mr.Mclain was looking at me with a strange emotion his eyes had afew tears that weren't falling, then Ms Christine was typing something on her phone with a serious face.When she realised that the doc and I were looking at her, she smiled and hugged her husband.“Finally, we are going to become parents love”She managed to say.

“Yes we are”Mr.Mclain replied his eyes still fixed on me

Although I was scared now, I was happy that I was also going to pay my end of the burgain.It was a life for life kind of situation and since Kitty was given her life back, it was time for me to bring their baby to life.I was happy for us.I mean for them cause I wasn't going to be part of the baby's life once it's born.

The moment we reached home, Mr.Mclain assembled all the house helpers and informed them about my status.He asked them to handle me with more care which I didn't find necessary cause already I was being pampered by them except for one called laura who was a little mean.I didn't know what her problem was with me but I always ignored her.I had a task to finish and didn't need unnecessary stress.

Christine's POV

As we were still in the hospital waiting for the results to see if Chloe was carrying our child, I received a message on w******p from Nina my best friend.

When I open the message, I saw a picture of Becky and Ivan kissing.

Becky was our fellow model but she and I didn't get along quite well. she believes she's the most beautiful one among us and behaves like she's above all of us.

‘I can't believe Ivan decided to do this to me. I told him I love him but why would he go out with that slut of all people’. I was starting to hate this.None of my relationships was going the way I wanted. I always liked it when James danced on my tunes and I enjoyed it when Ivan loved and cared for me.I had to win both of them all over again.

I was so distracted that I even forgot the purpose as to why we were here until I saw that surrogate and Dr Freddy looking at me. With the look on James's eyes, I could tell that Chloe was expecting a child which I didn't give a f*** in the world about but I had to play it cool. I had to be on James's good side so as to save our family company.

After everything was done, we took Chloe at home but I was already tired of everything I was seeing. James started handling her like an egg rather like a precious gem.I was tired of watching all the drama of him telling the house Maids how to take care of her.I didn't give a s*** about her or the baby. I wanted us to be done over with this so that James and and I could go home.I had to ask him to save our company but it seems like he didn't even want to leave.

It was then that I saw Kitty coming from the stairs and ran towards her sister but before she could reach her, James caught her on the way.

“ Careful Kitty”he told her.

“No worries Mr Knight, I think I perfectly healed”She answered

“This time round it's your sister that I'm looking out for the most”

“What do you mean?” She said gazing at her sister

“Are you okay Chloe?” she asked with a worried expression on her face.

‘So this spoilt brat had no idea what was going on.This was getting interesting’.I waited for so called big sister to drop a bomb on her sister that she was carrying a child that would be taken away from her after birth.

Before Chloe could find an answer, James quickly stepped in.‘What was he now? Her spokesperson?’

“She's okay Kitty but a little bit weak, our job is a little bit tiresome especially for people who are new to it”he replied Kitty looked at her sister who gave her a smile and a nod.

After lying to the girl, James decided that we could finally leave.
