Inside Pearl Hotel.....

“ I don't know if I will ever get enough of you Ivan. James isn't bad in bed either but even when we make love, all I think about is you” Christine says to Ivan Spencer her photographer.

“Then leave him and come to me love, we can run away. We can do business far from the United States and at the same time have a relationship”Ivan pleads

“We can't have a relationship Ivan. We agreed only to have s*x with no strings attached.You are my photographer, I told you I love James and my dad would kill me if he finds out that I'm cheating on him with you”

“Do you think I enjoy you telling me how much you love another man and all the crap that goes along with it? It's you who invited me here remember? It's not like we had work to do till next month. You are hurting me Christine” Ivan says.

“I'm sorry lvan but I needed to get away. James would have taken me to his doctor to see the real reason why I couldn't give birth.He would have found out that I was lying and I didn't want that so I told him we had business in Paris”Christine explains.

“You say you love him, why would you lie to him about you not giving birth?”

“You know all this time Ivan, I have never dreamed about being a mother. I love my career. Babies are just going to ruin my figure and second those babies are gross. I don't think I can tolerate them”.

“That's the thing Christine.The feeling is mutual, I won't force you to have babies because I can't stand them either and besides, I can do better than having a top model's figure ruined”Ivan begs holding Christine's hands but still she pulls away from him.

“Ivan, everything you are putting on table is good but still I can't leave James.Please try to-”

“Then if that's the case then I don't know why we are continuing with this conversation”Ivan cuts the model off before she could finish.

“I'll give you a call next month on our next deal”He says packing his clothes in his back pack.

“No Ivan, you can't just leave me here please”She begs but the photographer leaves the bedroom.

“Ivan, come back here ”She yells as Ivan exits the leaving room but he doesn't halt but rather moves in haste.

James's POV

After making sure that Chloe and Kitty had settled in, I was now waiting for Christine to show up such that we could proceed.I wanted the process to be quick but since she hadn't showed up, I had nothing to do but wait for the extra week she has asked.As I was sitting in my study at home, there was a knock on the door and when I asked the person to come in, I expected a servant but it was Christine.

“You said you wouldn't be here until next week” I stated

“Aren't you happy to see me?”She asked walking towards me then stopped at the back of my chair.I was happy to see her but she had pissed me off and she knew it.

I decided not to respond to her question. She then squatted besides me.

“Look, Love. I know you are mad at me but I'm sorry.I couldn't concentrate anymore so I decided to come back home before every one else.Please forgive me J”she begged

“You know Christine, I just got tired of arguing with you over this matter but it turns out you do not listen”

“I know we agreed I tell you first before I leave but this time things came up a bit fast that's why I failed to communicate before I left. Please try to understand”she pleaded holding my hand.

“I forgive you but this is the last time we are discussing this Chris and I mean it”

“Thank you my love”she said getting up

“It's late, can we go to bed”she added

Reaching the bedroom I went straight to the shower and got cleaned up then waited for christine in bed who had also gone to freshen up.She returned soon enough and joined me in bed.I had really missed her and wanted us to get off but as soon as I touched her, she turned me down and informed me that she was so tired and we called it a night.

The next morning, I called a chauffeur I assigned for Chloe and asked them to meet us at the hospital were the procedure was to be done which they did.Christine and I arrived earlier so that Freddy could make the embryo sooner.I trusted him because he was certified and he could get anything done sooner than other doctors around.

Chloe's POV

Early the next morning, I received a call from Mr.James telling me to get ready.Soon as I was done, Ian our chauffeur came to pick me up.I was nervous coz talking about it was one thing but the fact that I was going to become a surrogate in a short time was freaking me out.But looking at Kitty and how she was improving, I decided it was time to do my end of the bargain.

When we reached the hospital, Mr.James, the doctor and a lady were waiting.I said hello to them with a smile and I noticed that the men replied but the lady just looked me up and down.She was fairly beautiful with makeup on her face, small in size, had an American height and looked all classy in a tight dress and pointed heels.

“"Is she the one?”She asked

“Yes”Mr.James replied

“What degree does she have?”she asked again

“Ma'am I didn't graduate.I stopped at college”I replied

“How can you choose someone like this love.I thought you knew that we needed the best for our baby and this is what you came up with?”she asked

I was belittled and I felt tears well up my eyes but I tried as much as I could to stop them from falling.

“Who said Freddy needed a degree holder to make things happen and who said she won't give us what we want because she doesn't have a degree.You were absent the whole time, you should have chosen whoever you wanted but since your work is more important just go with the flow”Mr.James replied

The lady kept quiet and just rolled her eyes at me.I was grateful that Mr.James defended me because at the beginning, he had doubts choosing me but still helped me.I wasn't going to disappoint them.That was a promise I made to myself.

After the scenario Dr.Freddy led me along with the soon to be parents to a well organized room that I bet I would ever afford.There was a nurse waiting , she helped me get dressed in the patients uniform and I got on the bed then the whole process of transferring the couple's embryo to my womb began.
