Second Chance Love

Selenas Dream: I am running my wolf down the river being playfully chased by this beautiful black-furred wolf with a white star on his chest, the alpha wolf. We are running around chasing one another through the clear blue waters and through the flowers in the meadow. We both lie down and stare at the stars above. Selenas POV: The sound of my alarm clock playing a soft but annoying melody is the first thing to wake me up. I should really choose something that is pleasant to wake up to and start the day off in a good mood. I lay thinking of the dream I had. It felt peaceful and loving. All I can think about is the wolf that was with me, hoping he was my mate. I sigh as I think of any wolf that I know that could match that description. I can't seem to think of any which would mean it could be someone from a different pack or that the person doesn't have his wolf yet. I smile and keep my eyes closed. Soon enough, the door opens with a thud and my brother jumps up on the bed. " Get up silly, school starts in an hour, and it's the first day, you gotta make a good first impression." He says while sitting on top of me. My eyes popped open and looked at my twin. "Why must you be so chipper this morning" I groaned out, trying to push him off of me. " Because im just this morning person and you are just a cranky," he replies. " Plus not only the first week of school, it's also the last week before we get our wolves and have the ability to find our mates," he adds. I successfully push him off and laugh as soon as he grunts at the impact. I told him I'd be down shortly and then we could go. As he leaves, I roll out of bed and softly go over to my closet. I pick out a pair of light blue jeans and a band tee with a sweatshirt. While grabbing my clothes, I also grab a matching pair of black bra and underwear. I head to the bathroom and start the shower. Once I washed my hair, I stepped out and dried off. Once dry, I got dressed and blew my hair dry. I looked in the mirror and studied what I saw. I had curly caramel hair that was down to my mid back. My eyes were hazel, and my face was scattered with freckles. I then did very little makeup, which consisted of mascara and eyeliner and lip gloss. As I looked in the mirror, I said "we got this." I hate to admit that i was nervous as this was my senior year, and we were finally going to get our wolves. I then exited the bathroom and grabbed my backpack from my desk chair. I headed downstairs and heard my mom and dad talking to my brother Cameron. I followed the voices into the kitchen where breakfast was being served. " Are you nervous about the first day of school," Mom asks. " Yes, but more excited that this is the last year of this hell," I reply as i grab some sausage and eggs. Dad just shakes his head and laughs at the comment. " I know I tell you this every year but you guys are the children of warriors .." I just nod and pretend that I am listening but just thinking about how nervous I am to meet my mate and the nerves of shifting to my wolf for the first time. "Lena.. LENA" I said and shook my head, but I replied" What?" Cameron looked at me and then the watch and said" Did you hear what i was saying?" I shook my head no and gave an apologetic look. " It's time for school. We have to go," Cameron replies, grabbing his bag and mine and dragging me to the car. As we are driving to school, we are silent and just enjoying the music on the radio. We arrive at school and I immediately see my best friend Kasey sitting on the steps. I got out of the car and bid my brother farewell and walked over to her. " Morning Kase," I said as I sat next to her. She immediately smiles and puts her phone down, starting to chat about how her weekend was. "Morning Lena, I am so ready for this year and so ready for your birthday on Friday. Are you nervous? Excited?" I laughed and replied as we walked into the school "Nervous and excited." Unknown POV: I had this dream of this female wolf and shadow running and being playful. I smile, wondering if this girl is my mate and when we will meet. I have been waiting for my mate for 8 years and I can only hope that I will find her soon. I am praying to the goddess that these trips to visit the fellow pack ands will help me find her, as I know she will be a blessing and help calm my wolf. My beta minlinks remind me that it's time to go. I huff and get dressed, mindlinking him back saying I will be down in a few minutes. I hurry to get downstairs and into the car to head to the first pack that we are visiting.
