(Grace) Silas held me, pulled to his side securely. We were on our way to Red Wood, the west part of our pack. I was numb as I stared blankly, straight ahead at the black leather driver's seat in front of me. Raven Wood, my home, was gone. I blocked out the last few hours. I couldn't face all that happened. Not yet. I couldn't close my eyes despite my exhaustion. If I did, the screams and flames filled my mind. Silas had stayed by my side through it all. I know he wanted to help the others more but Jax entrusted my well being to him and he would not waiver. My head rested on his chest. The beat of his heart kept me calm. We hadn't spoken more than a few words with one another but words were not needed with us. I did, however, know that he was keeping his emotions blocked from me.
