I was kind of confused.
"Isn't the village at least days away on horseback?"
Ben laughed seeing how confused I was.
"Maybe we can ask them once we see them." He said as he started walking again.
Seeing as I was lagging a bit behind I ran behind him to catch up.
Once we got to the others, I started to ask questions.
"Hey John?" I asked tugging his sleeve.
"Hm? What is it?" He asked.
"Why are we going on foot?"
"Oh, it's because since Ancienla is really connected with nature, they don't allow the use of animals for any task." He explained.
"Wow, I didn't know that... But if that's the case then why don't we just use them and leave them once we get close?"
"It's because they have fairy's at the gates. Much like Vallery they can read minds. So they will ask you if you used an animal to get there. If they figure out you did they will send you back to your village." He explained.
"Oh wow, so they're serious huh?"
"Yeah. I thought you would have know this though?"
I tensed up. "Oh crap... I haven't told him yet have I?" I thought.
I tried to change the subject.
"Um... Who are we waiting for? Seeing as we aren't going anywhere..."
"Hm? Oh we're waiting for Sabrina." He said.
"Sabrina? That's new." I thought.
"Who is she?"
"You'll know in a second." He said looking ahead.
I followed where he was looking and I couldn't believe who I was looking at.
A girl with blonde hair in a ponytail ran towards us. She had a white shirt on with a light brown shawl thingy on.

And she had blue jeans on with brown shoes. She also had a white blindfold on her head to separate her bangs, and a big sword with a blue handle strapped on her back.
"I am so sorry Im late... I couldn't find my headband..." She said slightly out of breath.
"It's fine! You know we weren't gonna leave without you!" Jordan reassured her.
"That's good, I-" she stopped mid sentence once she saw me.
I don't really have a name for the face I have at the moment. But just know that it is a mixture of shock and disbelief, with a sprinkle of annoyance.
"What are you doing here!?" We both yelled in unison pointing at each other.
John walked over to Jordan and leaned down to whisper in his ear.
"What's going on?" He whispered.
He sighed. "Sabrina tried to kill someone again..." Jordan said expectantly.
"Oooooh." John said standing back up.
I put my hands on my hips. "Well?"
"O-Oh! Right..." Sabrina said standing up straight. Then she bowed.
"M-my deepest apologies for attacking you! I am very protective of my home, but that isn't an excuse for the pain I have caused. P-Please forgive me!" She exclaimed.
I was caught off guard by the sudden apology, so Ben stepped forward.
"Stop bowing, we forgive you." He said with a sweet smile.
Sabrina stood back up. "R-Really?"
"Heh, you know you didn't need to be that formal... But yes, I do forgive you." I said shyly.
She beamed and held her hand out. "Im Sabrina!"
I took her hand. "Spade."
Sabrina turned to Ben. "And your friend?"
"Ben, nice to meet you." He said. Shaking her hand.
"Well now that the confusion has been cleared up, why don't we go ahead and head out?" Jordan said.
"Sounds good!" I exclaimed.

We are now a good ways away from the village. I am kind of bummed that we aren't using horses, but at the same time Im glad. Because I can take the time to talk to people. I think...
Currently everyone else but John was in front of me talking about stuff. I don't know I wasn't listening. John was slightly behind them just listening I think.
I fell behind because I was looking at the sky. It's getting kind of late in the afternoon so the stars should be showing soon. But the sky is still very pretty.
I've always seen the sky from my window but in person it's like a whole new experience. And it might sound stupid to someone who has always seen the sky, but I haven't been outside in 20 more than years so it's new to me.
I guess John noticed that I was behind everyone and slowed down to my pace.
"What's on your mind?" He asked.
"Nothing much. Just admiring the sky."
"Huh? Like you've never seen the sky before..." He said sarcastically.
I looked away awkwardly. I think that's what raised his alarm.
"Wait- don't tell me..." He trailed off and his pace came to a stop.
I stopped once I noticed he did so I was a bit in front of him.
"What?" I asked nervously.
He stepped closer to me and cupped my face.
"What are you doing?" I asked now confused and nervous.
He turned my head to the side so he could see my mark more clearly.
"There's no way..." He whispered.
"Would you say it already!" I whined dreading to know what was wrong.
"Are you by chance from the Kingdom of Aurum?" He asked.
I tensed up an looked away.
"Answer me."
"Y-yes..." I mumbled.
"What are your parents names?" He asked turning my face to look at him.
I can't lie to him even if I tried. I never knew he could be this scary...
"Leroy and Ezira Aurum..." I mumbled.
He smiled and let go of my face. "So I was right then. You are the daughter of King Leroy and Queen Ezira. The one where I heard rumors about Leroy abusing his family."
"Yeah, but how did you know?"
"Well first, even though a lot of people these days have marks, I have only seen one family with a spade. And that is your family. And second, you really didn't know how to do simple things and was oblivious about common facts about the world." He explained.
I pouted. "And I thought I was doing so well..."
"Heh, well you aren't the only one with secrets." He said.
"What do you mean by that?"
He rolled up the sleeve that was down to reveal a red cloth tied around it. He untied the cloth and under it was a yellow lightening bolt on his wrist.
"Woah! You have one too!? No wonder you were so fast!"
"Sh! Wouldn't be much of a secret if you told everyone now would it!" He teased.
"Oh! Right..."
"Hey you guys! You coming?" Jordan shouted.
"Yeah! We'll catch up!" John shouted back. He then turned to me.
"Wanna race me?"
"Oh your on!" I exclaimed.
