Chapter 31: In a Hollow June 8 12:11 A.M. Boston Road Erie, Pennsylvania I slept in a hollow for almost two hours, and realized that I was hungry. Frankly, I was hoping to walk up to an all-night diner where I could get a pair of eggs and well-done steak. Coffee was also needed, but I could live without it. My back ached a bit and my legs were stiff, but that didn’t keep me nestled on the ground among three oak tree trunks. To my left was Highway 20. To my right was what looked to be a public pool, which was locked up and closed for the night. Beyond the pool area was a church.
