"Arielle? Breakfast is ready!" Josh shouted from outside my room.
I groaned, then turned to the right side. Scott Benson was sleeping so soundly there.
Party. Police. He came into my room like some freak. Right. I remembered.
I blankly stared at Scott's sleeping face. Aww, he’s so cute. And well, I basically did what other normal people would do.
I kicked him off the bed.
"What the actual-"
"Shh!" I hissed at him, watching as he brush dust off of his pants. "If my brother finds you
here, you're dead- er than Maxi."
"Maxi? Who's Maxi?"
"Exactly!"
Scott shot me the 'I'm so done with you' look.
"Just stay here, okay?" I ordered.
"Only if you bring me breakfast."
That was the last thing I heard before I closed the door behind me.
"Good morning," Josh greeted, smiling at me.
"Yeah.. Good morning to you, too."
I ran downstairs, the aroma of bacon and eggs hit my nose.
I sat on the dining table, cutting my bacon.
The whole dinner table was silent, with only me, Lynn and Josh.
"Where's mommy and daddy?" Lynn asked, her mouth full of bacon bits.
"Out," Josh replied, wiping the bacon bits away from Lynn's face.
"I'm done, thanks for the food. I'll go make a sandwich," I announced, making Josh raise an eyebrow.
"What for?"
"I'm still hungry," I replied him simply. "I need to revise for the test next week, so goodbye."
And with that, I ran up the stairs with a sandwich and a cup of milk in my hands.
The door was shut closed, and so I had to knock it with my foot. Gently, of course. Wouldn't want Josh to know.
Scott opened the door, taking the tray of food away from me.
"Wow. You're welcome. It doesn't take much to walk up the stairs with those things on my hands, or.. You know, to actually make them." I remarked sarcastically, putting my hands on my hips. Scott raised an eyebrow as I closed my room door.
He grinned, then pushed me against the wall. His lips brushed against mine, and I pulled away the second it touched.
"You have morning breath. Do something about it first," I remarked, pushing him away.
"You'll still love it." Scott snickered, picking up my sandwich.
"Hurry, eat. We're gonna be late for school."
"It's still 7. School doesn't start until 10." Scott replied.
"8," I corrected.
"Whatever. We can't go that early."
"I'm going, and that's that." I insisted, walking out of the door.
“Hey, can you maybe bring me another sandwich? I’m hungry.” Scott said to me.
“Why are you so annoying?” i sighed.
"I'm just doing what you'd like," He winked.
"Then fall off a building or something," I retorted. "Now, if you would excuse me, I have to bathe."
###
"Okay, wait." I whispered, looking at my window from the second floor. I looked around to see if any of my family members are around, especially Josh.
If Josh were to find out..
"Okay, Jump." I instructed, and Scott jumped out with no difficulty. He landed on the soft grass with a silent 'thud'.
"Here's some gum," I said, handing him a strawberry flavored one.
Scott took it, putting some in his mouth. "Let's get to my car. It's not far from here."
Scott led in front of me. We went through some lanes, and eventually found his car.
I entered, buckling my seat belt. Scott started the engine, then turn the wheel to drive.
The first few minutes were silent, until Scott decided to ruin it.
"Imagine what the teachers would think of when they found out the president had slept with the hottest guy in the school," He snickered.
"Shut up," I said through gritted teeth, glaring at him.
Scott chuckled, and the rest of the trip was quiet. Minus the times when he teased me.
We finally arrived in school. 7.30. Perfect.
I jumped out of the car. Scott didn't budge at all.
"Scott!" I urged, doing a hand sign signing for him to get out.
"No, I'm going to Starbucks to meet Noah. See you!" He announced before driving off.
I stared blankly at the car, raising my eyebrow. He's gonna be late for school again, now, is he?
Oh, brother.
I took a deep breath and stepped in. I have a fighting case to look into. Guess who's involved? Scott, of course.
Really, Scott? You can't go one day without causing me trouble? Or at least don't be a burden?
It's gonna be hard changing him for the better, but I will win his little game. Trust me, he's gonna be good.
Because I, Arielle Reese, the student counsellor, am his partner.
Well, Scott's corrupting me a little, but nevertheless, I won't change for the worst. Mark my words, Scott. Mark my words.
