For the remainder of the week Dani impressed Kate and Cari. Not only could she handle the baking, despite lack of training, the grill came second nature to her. Cari and Kate talked it over, weighing the pros and cons. They came to an agreement and Cari offered Dani a permanent position. She was thrilled and quickly accepted the job.
“Cari, I’ll work harder than anyone and take my job seriously. Kate has big shoes to fill but I promise I’ll do my best.” Dani beamed. In her excitement, it hadn’t occurred to her if she should ask about the salary. “I do have one question, do you know where I can find a decent rental, not overly expensive and close to the shop?”
