On the way.

Amelia woke up after three hours of sleep. It's been a day since she shifted back. It was her most extended nap in the last few days, and she was grateful for that. Some of her strength was rebuilt. Shadow was silent in her mind, knowing too well that the girl needed to think about her next move. They need to think about what to do, as wandering in the woods was not the best idea for a longer distance. That was too risky for many reasons. Shadow was ready to press on her human a bit. They needed some decisions; they needed to clarify their direction. Amelia cannot live in the woods for the rest of her life. It was not what Shadow wanted for her special girl. She knew Amelia was unique, but she was not ready to figure out that yet. She will come to it when the time comes. Just not yet. So Shadow remained quiet. She also knew that there was another reason why Amelia needed time for herself. She had that dream again. It was precisely the same dream as she already had many times before. Amelia was at the lake shore in the middle of the night with the moon shining high in the sky. The lake looked like a massive pool of melted silver, and on the other side was HIM. Massive silver wolf with the most shining fur, just like it was made from the moon's light. Magnificent and powerful. In every dream, she could feel the power radiating from him. The wolf was looking at her with his piercing blue eyes. But there was no fear in her. On the contrary, she feels safe, like he was a promise that nothing wrong could happen to her, as he was guarding her. The dreams started when she was 5 when her whole life turned upside down. When Luna died, Alpa became her biggest enemy. She was just a child, not understanding why someone could hate her so much. She was suffering in her way after Luna's death. The only person who ever loved and cared for her was gone. She hoped Alpha would help, care for her, and ease her pain. But he became a monster, blaming her for the death of his beloved wife. But she loved her too!! She was like a mother to her, she promised that Amelia would soon meet a brother or sister, too, and they would always be together. The girl even talked to a baby in Luna's belly, telling them they would play together. And it all ended in one day. Amelia was helpless when the rogues attacked. All she could do was cry. On that day, she saw fear in Luna that she wouldn't be able to protect her. But she did. She saved her. Amelia often had nightmares when she was holding Luna's hand, both covered in Tania's blood and her last words. - It is over now. Please don't be scared, my Wild Flower. Live your life and be happy. Find him. He will take care of you. For many years, Amelia thought that Luna meant Alpha Samuel. But taking care of her was the last thing on his list. Abuse and torture became her reality. She was forced to work at the pack house and was punished by Alpa for the slightest mistake. Sometimes, even without reason, just because she was alive and Luna was dead. That knowledge came to Amelia with time. Alpa hated her, and the whole pack disregarded whatever was happening to her. No matter what they witnessed, no one dared to stand for her. At some point, she was sure that they hated her for what happened to Tania and to the Alpha. She was the reason for Luna's death and for change, the wrong change of their Alpha. Amelia looked at her wrist, where scars from the silver knife were visible. They never fully healed. How would they if she was not allowed to have any treatment in the hospital? Her body was full of such marks. Like the whole pack told her, she was paying for Luna's death. That is why she had to run. And never look back. And that was a time when she started to have those dreams. At first, she didn't think much about that—dreams about some wolf. But with time, she wondered why it was always the same dream. With the passing of years, she was waiting for those dreams. After the beating received from Alpha, it was like her own safe place where no one could hurt her. After Shadow awakened, Amelia finally had someone to talk to about this repeated dream. Her wolf told her it could be a sign from a Moon Goddess, a promise of a better life. Maybe mate. No, no, mate, Amelia already saw what mates meant. What happens to you when you lose one? What kind of a monster you may become if you lose half of your soul. Her body was proof that having a mate was not a good thing. She only wanted to find a peaceful place for her and Shadow. A mysterious wolf can wait. - It is time to go, Shadow. The night is coming. We need to go North as much as we can today. We got distracted and headed too much to the West. I feel something terrible is coming- Amelia said, standing up and getting ready to shift into her wolf. Shadow felt a prick of hope. Amelia finally made her decision. North it is. And she was right. They needed to move. Since Amelia was out of the pack, Alpha couldn't get her. Yet, something was off. The dream was never coming without reason. And the reason was never good. - Don't worry, Little Dove, I am with you.- Shadow replied in her head.- Together, we can go through anything. -Thank you, Shadow, for having my back and giving me hope. You are the best. -You are welcome, Little Dove - Shadow chuckled in Amelia's mind. - Let's go. To the North. - To the North- The girl replied.
