“Take her life now!” The old king shouted as he placed his hand behind him. His grey hair flew freely down to his waist. He looked at his first son who placed a sword to the neck of a maid who knelt down. The sky was beginning to turn dark like it knew it was a sad day. The Crown Prince furrowed his brow as he tried to be strong, managing to hold back the tears that was about to fall from his eyes. The maid knelt on the floor, tears falling from her eyes. The other maidens watched in fear as they prayed the Prince would not behead his lover, the maid. “Come on, brother. You do not intend to let her go, do you? She is a betrayer. She has betrayed you” His younger brother, the second Prince smiled as his sat comfortably on the chair, close to their father. “If indeed you are my son, you will kill this traitor right now. “ The King coughed as he awaited his son. “My Prince” The maid looked up at the Prince, her lover. As soon as she lifted her head, he took the sword away from her neck, scared so as for the sword not to injure her. He looked away from her, trying not to stare at her so the tears that had formed a ball in his eyes would not fall. He did not want to show his weakness. “If killing me will make you strong, then do it. If killing me will make you ascend the throne, kill me. If killing me will make you happy, then I will gladly die but I want you to know, I will never betray you. I will never try to kill you. I will never try to do anything to you. I was not the one who tried to kill you. I love you now and always” “Shut up!” The Queen yelled at the maid. "My sister is innocent! My sister would never do such! It is not my sister!" The maids younger brother tried to rush to pick his sister but he was immediately stopped by a punch to the face from the guards, throwing him to the floor. Immediately, the Prince looked at his lover, the maid. Slowly, the tears began to fall from his eyes. He began to stagger as he felt weak all over again. “I told you father, this son of yours is a weakling. He cannot do anything.” The second Prince smirked as he looked at their father. “Let me have the pleasure” He stood up and walked down to his brother with his sword. “Wh…wh…what are you doing?” The Prince questioned as he staggered. “What you cannot do” He answered and immediately pulled the sword. “No!” The Crown Prince yelled but it was too late as the sword had pierced through the heart of his lover, the maid. “Dalia!” The maid's best friend gasped as she watched life being seeped from her. The other maids placed their hands on their mouth in shock. The King as well as his Queen smiled. “You are way stronger than your brother. You should have been my first son instead” The King hailed his son. The Crown Prince rushed over to his lover as he watched her struggle to breathe. She placed her hand on his face, her hands trembling, dancing to the rhythm of death. “I love you, now and always” She struggled to breathe. “Stay with me. Please” He cried as he held her closer. “Let her die brother. Let her rest in peace. Let her go to the life beyond” The second Prince smiled as he walked away. “See you at the other side, my love” The Crown Prince whispered as the last thread that held her life was pulled apart. “No!” The Queen shouted, drawing the attention of everyone, including the king but it was too late. The King tried to stand up but he collapsed back, out of fear. The second Prince’s eyes widened in shock. “Lucas!” The Queen shouted as her voice broke down but it was too late. The Crown Prince had killed himself with the same sword with which his lover was killed.
