Song Recommendation: Photograph by vitamin string quartet When flattery and flowers don’t work on a lady, a gentleman may employ other tools that trigger longing. That should do the trick.. her eyes shot open at his words and it slowly downed on her that he wasn’t going to kiss her. That he hadn’t intended to kiss her at all. He looked at her and smiled a little as if he could read her thoughts. Her face heated and she’s averted her gaze. Damn him. “I will see you around then madame wife” he swept her a mocking bow and pivoted, striding fast across the grass and into the house, needing to get away from her before he did something utterly foolish like running back to those lips that practically begged to be kissed. Her foolish foolish heart. She had thought he planned to- to kiss her and despite all her resolve she would have let him, she would have responded with all the grace of a starved woman, she ran her hands through her hair, She realized they had been in full view of the kitchen staff and what could be more mortifying than that. She groaned aloud earning a strange look from one of the gardeners working in a blue rose bush. He tipped his hat in acknowledgment just before handling her a single blue rose, she smiled and bid her thanks. Walking farther with the blue bloom. she held it to her nose and inhaled deeply , it had a strong fragrance of Lilac, she held it in her left hand as she caressed the well shaped petals with her right all the while carefully avoiding its thorns. He had come into the house through the kitchen doors and servants shot up from their relaxed positions to curtesy, he walked be bowing footmen, all giving him weird looks like he had grown two heads. Yes, he never went through the kitchen but when one was eager to escape certain precarious situation one did unfounded things like walk through one’s own b****y kitchen full of servants. He strode in quick strides and up the stairs taking it two at a time and didn’t stop until he was at the roof grounds, then he realized his mistake too late. This was the spot he had brought her too, not so long ago. A place he used to frequent as a boy, watching sunrise and sunsets. He had brought her here and the memories of that night were vivid in his mind. She had smiled at him, spoken with him, boderline flirted. She had laughed with no abandon, the sound engraved in his soul. She had Gotten tipsy on the wine he made her drink. She had kissed him on the chin. She had hugged him with her slight frame and he had been happy, she had been happy so he had been happy, he wanted her happy,he wanted that light back in her eyes, he wanted her back in his arms. His Artermis his blonde goddess. If she didn’t want to talk about what was between them then as much as it pained him she would get her wish, and if staying away would make her happy like he had seen her earlier in the garden before he came along. He would gladly give her what she sought. All that mattered was that she was in his life and in his house, where he could watch her, and look out for her, cause if she disappeared from his life the moon might have as well left the night sky..
