Ivy Pov After teaching a class, I cleaned up the studio. I've always loved dancing. It's been my passion since i was a little girl, but to my dad and sister, I'm a disappointment, just because i didn't want to work at our family's company. My phone rings, I groan as I see the name flash up “ Yes dad”, “ can you come over please. We are having a family meal, dress nice as we have company”. I was about to protest but he already hung up. I hate it when he says family meals. He never has them only when there is a business deal. Great. I went back to my house. I love my little house, it's cozy and feels like home, as my studio took off. I had enough money to buy the place. I was so happy that I worked and earned it for myself. I walked to the bathroom and took a quick shower, then I walked to my closet. I see my stone colour kimono sleeve midi dress, that will do. I put that on and i let my hair run down my back, i dry my hair, which has natural loose curls, i just brush it and out, i some light makeup on, and throw on some black heels, i head to my garage and decide to take my bmw m3 g80, for a ride, my parents hate the car so seems fit. I smile to myself as the engine comes to life. It doesn't take me long to get to my parents. As I pulled up at the gate, I see them standing outside with a few people and i can tell they weren't happy because of the way they are staring daggers at my car. I smile to myself, knowing that I'm the reason they are slightly pissed off. I pulled up outside, I turned the engine off and got out. I walked towards them, “ good evening mother, father”. I turned and nodded to our guests. “ Good evening, I'm Ivy Grayson. nice to meet you all” i put my hand out for a hand shake, “ Good evening miss Grayson. I'm Mason Baldwin and this is my wife, Evelyn Baldwin, and my son, Noah Baldwin”. I shook their hands. “ Please call me Ivy, I'm going to head inside, if you will excuse me”. I smiled at them and took a step away, but just as I was about to walk through the door, I felt a hand on my wrist. I looked up to see it's my father. “ Don't embarrass us tonight”, I scoffed and pulled away from him, “ Don't think so big of yourself father”. I walked away. Me and my father have never got on since I started my own company. You would think he would be proud, but he wasn't, he wanted me to be like my twin Ava, always depending on him, she was daddy's princess. I walked into the dining room, I see my older brother Alex and my twin. My brother came over and kissed my cheek, “ hi Ivy, you ok?” I smiled at him. I love my big bro, he always sticks up for me when our father and sister start on me. “ I'm fine Alex, how are you? I've missed seeing my big bro” he smiles and pulls me into a hug, "I've been better sis. Dad stresses me the f**k out all the time about work, but I have missed my little sis” “ you work too hard. How about we meet for lunch during the week when your free or you could always follow my lead and be a disappointment,” he smiles. You know mother and father hate you having that car” I laugh “ but its always fun seeing their disappointed faces”. I smile. He laughs “ when do I get to take it for a test drive then?”. I laugh “ how about I take you out for a spin in it now and show you what it can really do”. His eyes light up “ What are we waiting for?.... Let's go” as we are walking toward the door, mother,father, mason, Evelyn and noah are walking to the dining area “ where are you two going”. I smirk “ just popping out to show Alex my car and how it drives”. I can tell by his face that he is fuming. I smirk and I turned to Noah. “ Noah, would you like to come along? It would be rude if I didn't invite a guest” mason laughs “ i would love to go as well to be honest, that car is something I've always wanted but I'm too old now” i giggle “ you are never too old sir, if you are wanting to join feel free” my brother whisper in my ear “ father is going to be so pissed off with you ivy” i smile “ what else is the disappointment suppose to do” he laughs “ you know me and mum don't think that, we support your choices” “ i know and i love you both more for it”. We arrived at my car. Noah and Mason have joined us. I watch as Noah and Mason are checking the car out. “ Ivy, how quick does this thing go?” noah speaks to me. I watched him looking at all the extras I had placed on the car and to be honest, he is very handsome, but he seems like a very cold person, he seems to have a face of stone, unlike his father. “ It can go from 0-60 in 3.14 seconds”. I say happily, I can see a little smile on the corner of his mouth “ impressive” “ thank you” in the corner of my eye, i can see my parents talking, “ let's get in and go for a quick drive, shall we?” Alex and Mason nod and get in turn to Noah who now has a hard expression on his face “ are you coming noah” “err yeah sure”. Mason and Noah get in the back seats, alex in the passenger seat and me driving, this shall me fun, i start the beast up and the engine comes to life, mason is ginning, alex and fidgeting like an excited child and noah, as his emotionless expression, god he is boring, we pull out of the driveway “ right gents, where did you want to go?” “ somewhere to open her up” i smirk “ if you say so mr baldwin” i smirk to alex, i drive to an abandoned estate, "ivy, how did you know this was here?” i smile and look at mason “ i'm not just a pretty face mr baldwin, i'm not your normal classy business owner, i have hobbies and cars is one of them” alex turns to me “ i know exactly what your going to do ivy and i would rather live” i laugh “ we have guest, im sure they don't want to be spinning everywhere, ill save that last for you my dear brother" his eyes widen with horror, i can hear mason snickering “ are we ready gents” they all nod, with that i put my accelerator down and lifting quickly off the clutch "bloody hell ivy, i want to live!!" i laugh at my brother and push the car to its limits doing a few lap around the estate, then i slowly come to a stop “did you enjoy your ride gents” mason and alex nod, noah looks bored, “ noah, did you want to drive?” he looks at me “ no” ok rude “ alex i promise you something didn't i” i smirk “ can i ask both of you to get out and then you can enjoy my brother screaming like a girl” mason laughs, they both get out. My bloody is boiling, i get up from the table and glare at my dad “ no im not” “ you will if not i'll disown you” i laugh is he even serious right now “ good do it, i don't need you, i have my own company and money” he laughs “ no but you will want to see your brother and mother” ok he's got me there “ im not a something you can just pass off, i was a daughter you was proud of once and ill be dammed if you think im marrying a stranger, no offense Noah" "none taken" i smile a little " three days ivy and that final" "your a prick” i turn to mason, evelyn and noah, “ it was nice to meet you, but i have to leave before i do something stupid” i turn to walk out and i hear my mother shouting at my father and him shouting after me but i don't stop, who the hell does he think he is, thinking he can just marry me off to someone i don't even know. someone grabs my hand, “ ivy wait” i turn and come face to face with noah, i hold back my angry tears that are treating to spill “ im sorry noah i have to go” i try and get out of his grip, he pulls me back and pushes me up against the wall, our faces inches away from each other, i freeze, his eyes flicker to my lip, for some reason my body has a mind of its own because i bite my lip and look down, he comes closer, whispering in my ear “ we have to do it ivy, we will end the marriage after 2 years and you will be free to do as you please” why does he sound sexy, wait what the hell am i thinking? “ we dont know eachother noah, you deserve someone that loves you” he gives me a grateful smiles and backs away abit but still has my hand, “ so do you. but maybe, think of it as two friends helping out their families” "two years?" he nods "then if you want to go separate ways we will" i nod and walk back with him.
