My Best Friend

Shay was a very bubbly person but when her friend moved only a few days ago, Shay was heart broken. There is not many kids her age and with her mom not wanting her to play with the bigger kids and dad not really wanting her to play with boys she was stuck indoors just playing with her dolls and her dog Bull. Which actually seem like bull if you ask me....New neighbours moved in ,an elderly man and he's wife and their son and grandson. Shay was not allowed to play with boys so she wasn't really excited to go welcome the new neighbours with her parents. The grandson was Shay's age, Shay being as playful as she is started to play with the grandson. The grandsons name is Kyle, friendly fella just seem abit crazy which Shay likes because she herself like to go crazy but don't all 5yearolds?They clicked instantly. Kyle asked Shay to be he's friend and without thinking twice she said yes .That same night she asked her dad to at least allow her one boy friend and dad agreed finally but I think it was only because he wanted to hang out with Kyles grandparents they kinda cool .Kyle was the new kid in the street and everyone wanted to play with him and be friends which he declined because it was just him and Shay....They did everything together. Took naps, eat, play, bath, go on outings everything. They started growing up Primary school also started they were in different classes but every afternoon when they got home they would play together and do the normal. When they were grade 3 everything changed Shay's mom started working so she had to start staying at home till a grown up gets home so she can go play...by then Kyle made new friends but always made time for just the two of them he was romantic like that .Shay was teased a lot at school because she was chubby and he would always defend her ,as they grew older they started to realize they have feelings for each other. We know it now as puppy love but to them it felt real...Not sure of what it is they were feeling they stopped hanging out alone there were always some of their other friends.. He even started going out with one of their friend's Chantel which broke Shay's heart ,but she just went on like nothing was wrong until she couldn't take seeing them together anymore and Shay left the group and just kept to herself at home looking after her brother when she gets home from school kept her real busy as well as her other chores. Time went by and they just stop talking just greeted and that's it. Till they started High school, Kyle asked Shay to be he's girlfriend and everyone was like... 'finally' so they were happy for them .Truth be told Shay never had a boyfriend she didn't even kiss a boy before because she was saving her first kiss for Kyle Not knowing how to act as a girlfriend Shay would hide away from Kyle and that frustrated him. He kept calling her and she will just ignore him their parents not knowing about the relationship Kyle didn't make any attempt at going to her house and speak to her .The main reason Shay is running from him is because she don't know how to kiss and at that point it was just so embarrassing to ask a friend how to do it....so they just drifted apart and Shay just ignored him ,and what made it easier was that they attended different High school's. But it didn't make it any better seeing each other almost every other day. It makes it so hard for the feelings to just go away so they need to find a way to get their feelings in check and go on with their lives at the same time. Only time will tell if they belong or not. ************************************************ Shay meets new friends at her high school of which one of those friends is her other best friend.... He's name is Gideon. Their friendship start out quite simple..... Gideon is someone Shay can rely on to always be there. Filling  the space Kyle has left as her best friend. He listen to all her heartbreaking stories about Kyle and how she  actually feels about her so called best friend that is not even part of Shay's life and that makes Gideon's insides boil, because he really loves Shay, he wish he can say as a sister but he can't , what he can say is that he loves her as a best friend should. He wants to change the way Shay sees things, because things is not just black and white.... there is actually color in between, but Shay won't be able to see that if she keeps going down this hurtful path she is going on. And even though it hurts Gideon just as bad is it hurts Shay he is not giving up helping her see that light at the end of the tunnel. I GET IT WE HUMAN AND WE HAVE TO MAKE MISTAKES TO LEARN FROM THEM....TRUE, BUT DON'T LET IT CAUSE YOU TO MIDD OUT ON THE THINGS THAT REALLY MATTER IN LIFE.....WHICH IS.....
