Why did their enemies kill her in such loud manner? why not something quiet and simple. was that to send a message? or some type of warning? He didn't yet understand the pattern.
He wasn't safe, he knew that for sure. He didn't know who exactly he was supposed to be wary of, but he knew it was connected to Gu, that wretched place.
He would not rest until he found out the truth, in all ramifications. Who killed his sister, why and what Leah knew. He deserved it, she also did and so does her baby.
And as a sign that God was on his side, he walked right into a key component, Sarah Rhodes. Not only was she also clothed with the same quest as he was, she was in the heart of where his aim laced, Gu family restaurant.
His decision to keep her in the dark was for both their protection. Now that she was falling for the director, Tyler Guvin, Derrick can not stand the opportunity of him finding out about his existence.
Who knows if Tyler was his enemy, or perhaps he was in connection with who wanted to eliminate him and took the life of his precious sister? Derrick knew how talk spreads, one word could circulate and within matter of minutes, it could get to the wrong ears and his safety would be compromised.
It was better to hide the truth from her, preferably till the entire issue has been resolved and he got his revenge, which was blood.
