CHAPTER 1
CHAPTER ONE   The night was getting late, but Kealan Valle, a 19 years old, and a sophomore college student was still wandering in the middle of the night with the 2 heavy bags that contains her things on her shoulder and left hand. Her feet was aching so bad for walking non-stop to find a place where she can stay, her stomach keeps on grumbling because she haven’t had anything except the light breakfast she had before the loan sharks that she didn’t know her had unpaid debt barged in and kicked her out of their house. The loan sharks had come all of a sudden, surprising her with a notice of her parents debt, telling she’ll need to get out of the house immediately for it was used as a collateral for her parents unpaid debt.   “Keep quiet, I know you’re hungry,” Kealan uttered in an exhausted tone to her stomach that has been grumbling non-stop “I-I, too.” Her parents died months ago due to a severe car accident, and she was left alone for she is the only child. She didn’t know that her parents had been indebted to a loan sharks, and use their house as a collateral surprising the hell out of her, and in an instant making her homeless. She felt mad, frustrated and the same time, pity towards herself from what happened, and now she badly want to cry and shout her heart out, but her body doesn’t want to cooperate with her anymore, all she can feel now is an extreme exhaustion mentally and at the same time physically, and all she wanted to do now is to rest until her body contents. Thinking about what is happening to her made her badly wants to blame her parents for leaving her and their debts to her making her homeless now. “Mom, Dad, why did you both left me?” Kealan whispered asking out of nowhere, “why didn’t you just take me with you, guys?”   But at the same time she asked herself if blaming her deceased parents will change anything to her situation, and her answer is not, a single tear escape from her right eye that she wiped immediately. And now she had realize how the things hard for the only child like her. She didn’t have any relatives because her parents are both only child and as per her grandparents, her both grand parents on the both mother and father side had already passed away. Kealan sigh as her stomach grumble again that she had lost the count of her stomach pleading for food.   “Such a pity life, Keal.” Kealan uttered to herself withdrawing a heavy breath to ease her hunger. Continuously walk in the middle of the night, Kealan suddenly felt a droplet drip on her face, and the droplets eventually became heavy that made Kealan hissed.   Kealan immediately roam her eyes around to find a place to cover her from the rain, but she found none. Kealan continued to find a place and finally saw a particular house who doesn’t have lights on. Contemplating herself either she will trespass or not but, after a while with her eyes closed she decided to trespass and just go for it in a rush without thinking again, even she didn’t want to, for she didn’t have any choice, she and her things are getting wet. Kealan gasped as she steps on the house porch, and just let her things fall off from her shoulder and hand. “Whoever is living here, I’m sorry for entering,” Kealan said out of nowhere, “I promisesd, I will leave when the rain stops.” As the times go by, Kealan felt searing cold entering her body making her shiver. She was hoping that the rain will stop soon, but her prayer didn’t heard because the rain doesn’t seems like will stop soon. “Please stop.” Kealan whispered. She was pleading the rain to stop, for she was worried the owner of the house might arrive and see her.   Time goes by, while Kealen was impatiently waiting to the rain to stop, her attention was suddenly caught by the door of the house when an idea entered in her head. While staring at the door, contemplating about the idea that had entered on her head, Lena suddenly felt a connection that she can’t decipher. It was like there’s someone was telling her to open the door and many things will unleashed that she, herself can’t understand, for just a while ago she was really thought of committing a crime for completely trespass and just barge inside the house, but after a while she began to feel that strange feeling. Slowly pacing towards the door, Kealan continuously feel the connection, reaching slowly she rose her hand to the knob and with a trembling hands and eyes shut close she twisted it, until she heard the door creaked open. “Hi!” A voice of a man greeted Kealan.  She was shocked and that made open her eyes immediately and at the same time made her jump out of surprise for she thought someone will be inside the house for it was completely dark and didn’t even bother to open the lights. And why is the man just standing there? Kealan thought, as she stared at the man infront of her. “I-I’m s-sorry if I barged in without your permission, I didn’t really mean to trespass,” Kealan said “I-it’s just…I can’t see any place stay to cover me from the r-rain.” Kealan explained, embarrassment and nervousness filled her system. She is nervous that the man infront of her will get mad at her for barging in without permission. Kealan wants to hit herself on why she didn’t even try to look for the owner that might be just sleeping that’s why the house was dark and asked for permission. “Shh! You i***t!” Kealan contorted to herself. “It’s fine.” Kealan heard the man said casually making her stop from what she is doing and look at him in awe and shock. “Y-You are not mad?” Kealan asked.
