Kealan doesn’t know what to react, as she watch the 3 cleaners as they started to do what she ought to do. The three person just arrive with their cleaning tools, and informed her that they were sent by a man named T. She was ready to decline, because it is her job to clean everything, but the cleaners insisted, and told her, that they will going to get fired if they will just going to go back to their company without doing anything, which in the end she was force to agreed. So this is the help, he told me. She thought, as she watch how fast the 3 cleaners is moving. Because she doesn’t have anything to do, she decides to prepare the cleaners a snacks. They are in a halfway finishing cleaning, when she called them to have some, Filipino snack she made, that she learned from her deceased Mother which is a half blooded Filipino. The cleaners seemed Filipinos too, as she overhead them talking in tagalog, when they were about to start. “Guys, have some snacks!” She called to them, after setting a tables and chairs in the porch. It didn’t took a long time and she saw the three appearing one by one. “So nice of you to prepare this… Thank you.” A girl who seemed the group leader said. “I overhead you talking in tagalog, so I figured out and prepare this.” She said removing the foil cover of the food she prepare. “Wow!” The three exclaimed with joy once they saw the food she remember was called as banana cue. “You made this?” The man in his who seemed in his 30’s asked while smiling widely. “Yeah.” She replied. “Thank you, we already missed this!” The youngest who seemed in her late 20’s said this time. “Come on, join us as well.” They offered as they started to take a piece for them with a fork. “Sure!” She replied and took herself a piece of sweetened banana. As they ate the snack, they asked her how did she know about the food, and there she told them about her Mom. The whole snack time was filled laughter as the three loves to joke. From a short time, they are with her, she suddenly realize, that it has been a long time since she laugh, and it feels great to laugh again. And when they left, she felt an extreme loneliness, and she can’t help but to sulk as she look at the cloudy sky, while sitting at the porch step. She just able to avert her attention when Asher came to cuddle to her, and after a while she saw T, standing on the outside, while looking at her. She immediately stood up, and went to open the chest length gate for T. “Why are you just standing there? Come on in.” She offered widening the gate opening. “How was the cleaners that I sent, did they helped you enough?” T asked as he enter the gate. “About that… why did you do that?” She asked back. “You need help, and it will take you long if you will clean this whole premises alone.” T, answered nonchantly. Yeah, he’s right, it will really took me long to clean up, let’s just be grateful! She said inside her head. “I don’t know how you did send them here thay fast but, thank you for it. I really need help.” She gratefully said, giving T, a smile. T smiled “your welcome!” -- Days passed, the school year is about to start, and Kealan is still considering whether she will continue to attend school for this coming school year or not. She is at her sophomore level in college, and now because of her parents is now gone, she is thinking how to support her studies. Her salary as a caretaker is only enough for her daily necessities, though, she can also get a savings from there but its just a very tiny amount, that she sure that still is not enough to pay for her tuition fees. She is now busy making a tally, whether she would be able to get herself into school if is she would spend less or not, when T spoke. “What are you doing?” T asked. “Tryirng to make a decision.” She replied taking a glance of him. “For what?” T asked again. “If I could still enter this school year.” She replied. “By the way, you’re here again?” She asked this time. And speaking of which. This passed few days, she also notice of T, presence became more visible inside the house, and he barely left now, and just always roaming around the house from there and then. But it is okay, she didn’t mind at all as she became more comfortable having him inside the house, even though she found him a bit weird as the time goes by, for she had never seen him touch anything, eat anything and event chance his outfit. The outfit he was wearing the first time she saw him, is still not changing up until now. But thinking that T, maybe just like to have a simple get up everyday, she just let him be. “Yeah, I’m planning to stay here for a while, I got a permission from Grams Belle.” T answered. Yeah, she also find out that this guy is also really close to Mrs. Trinidad. Mrs. Trinidad keep on mentioning T to her, that whatever she find weird about T, she should just let him be, for she told her, that it is just the way he is. Which made her not to fry about the weirdness about T, anymore. He being a good man, and she is comfortable with is enough for her. “How about home, your Mom?” She asked curiously. “Mom, will gonna be okay. She has Dad, with her.” T replied with a smile but a sad one. Why does he look sad? She thought, and he was about to asked T when the door bell rang. “Wait a sec.” She said to T, and he just nod. She hurriedly went to check to see who rang the door bell, and saw the Trinindad couple at the doorstep, in a swift she opened the door for them. “Good Morning Mrs. Trinidad, Mr. Trinidad.” She greeted. “Good morning.” The couple greeted back. “Sorry the disturbance Kealan, but are you busy?” Mrs. Trinidad asked, as soon as they sit on the long sofa across where she and T is now seating. “Not really Mrs. Trinidad.” She answered. She notice Mrs. Trinidad glance at T, but Mr. Trinidad didn’t, as if he is didn’t see him. Her attention averted back to Mrs. Trinidad when the old woman spoke. “Can I asked you a favor then?” The old woman asked, and she nod as a response. “Today is the death anniversary of my son, and his wife, and if its okay, we want to celebrate it here, like what Travis, their son wants.” Mrs. Trinidad informed. “Sorry for your that,” she said. “and of course you can, I just stay for my friend’s house for a day.” The old woman smiled at her, “thank you Kealan.” Kealan als gave the two couple a smile, “there is nothing to thank of me, Mrs. Trinidad.” “Hmm..” “I’ll just go and prepare some of my things now Mrs. Trinidad, excuse me.” She politely excuse. “Sure, take your time.” The old woman replied with a gentle smile. Before, Kealan stood up, she also took a glance of T, who still remain seated from his seat. She was about to call him, when Mrs. Trindad, mouthed that its fine. Puzzled with it, she just nod and went to her room. While fixing her things she need to use for an overnight, she thinks about where she would spend a whole night for today, but suddenly interrupted by her phone rings. Without checking who is the caller, she answered it putting the call in the load speaker. “Hello?” She said picking up the call, while busy slipping her things in the bag. “Hi Keal, its me Marco, I just want to remind you that today is Mom’s birthday and she is expecting you to be there.” Marco said from the other line. Her eyes widen, because of it. Shocks! I forgot! She exclaimed inside her head, as she hurriedly took her phone and check the calendar. “I forgot about it, What am I gonna do? I haven’t buy Aunt Mona any present?” She asked panicky to Marco. She heard, Marco chuckled, “Your presence is enough to Mom. You don’t really need to get her any, you know?” Scraching her head out with her point finger she she said, “but still…” “I told you its fine.” Marco said. “You’ll come okay? I will pick you up later.” Marco added. Kealan heave sigh, and said okay before she hang up. She just text Marco to meeet her up at the mall, as she still decided to get Aunt Mona a birthday present. After she pack up, and readied herself, inform the old couple that she is leaving. Mrs. Trinidad also insisted to give her a pocket money for staying out for the day, that she decline first, but because of the old woman convincing skills with Mr. Trinidad, she end up taking it. She didn’t saw T, again as she left, I wonder where did he go again this time? She thought before she left the house.
