“Hello Miss Valle! I’m officer Marcus Montenegro. I was the one who called you last night regarding about the footage.” The officer introduced, as soon as they entered the officer’s office.
The officer seems just in his mid 20’s and who a similar looks of Liam Hemsworth, and she think that they also had a similar built.
“Nice to meet you. Thank you for calling officer.” She said as she took the hand that the officer is reaching for a handshake.
“No problem. Let’s take a seat.” The officer said motioning her and Marco to seat at the chairs infront of his table, that they gladly oblige.
Last night, they have decided that she will be going to be companied by Marco, as she don’t want to bother Aunt Mona, because for sure that once Marco’s Mom knew about the call she received, she will going to insist to come with her which she don’t want, so Marco insisted instead.
“Are you guys ready?” The officer asked as soon as they settled in their seats.
Kealan glance at Marco first before they both nodded, “Yes.”
“This maybe made you disturb. The collision in the accident is severe.” The officer warned, while opening his laptop on the table.
“It’s okay, officer. I just want to see it.” She replied.
The officer smiled and understandingly nod, “well then.”
Kealan took a glance again to Marco, and saw him looking at her as well.
“Everything will be fine.” Marco said with assurance and smiled at her.

Kealan can’t help but to scream from horror as soon as she saw how is parent’s car being hit by a raging red sports car, and collide the truck where it rolled under neat. She felt her body tremble and burst into tears upon watching the footage. She don’t know what happened back then, because she was in the university library working for a project with her groupmates, when she received a call telling her parents got into accident.
When she arrived at the hospital, they are already gone. Her parents was dead on arrival, and she is preoccupied grieving for her parents death, and another came where she was force to leave their house that why she didn’t able to even cooperate with the authority about her parents accident.
Marco immediately went to her side and rub her back, while the officer stopped the video.
Her cries only can be hear at the four corner of the office, as Marco and the officer just remain silent, waiting her to calm down.
“I’m sorry Miss Valle.” The officer said as soon as she was able to calm herself down.
“No officer, thank you for showing me that.” She replied, after wiping her cheeks with the handkerchief that Marco gave to her.
“How about the other vehicles,” she asked, “the truck and the owner of the red car particularly. Did you caught him?”
The officer shake his head as a response, making her brows furrowed in confusion.
“As you can see, we can’t detain the truck driver as just got into the scene, like your parents.” The officer started.
“As for the owner of the car, he was also critical when he got into the hospital, and eventually died in the middle of the surgery.” Kealan’s jaw fell after hearing the officer had said.
--
Kealan left first after talking to the officer a bit. She is walking like a zombie walking out of the station. She didn’t even hear Marco is calling her, as the scene that she watched inside the station, keeps on rewinding inside her head.
She just able to snap out, when a strong hand pulled her to her left arm, and it followed by a loud honk, and a shout of its driver.
“Are you planning to kill yourself?!” Marco asked to her as soon as she face him.
A tear escaped from her eyes and followed by another and another, until it became sobs.
“What am I going to do now?” She asked between her sobs.
She still can’t believe what she had watched and heard. She is frustrated for it is unfair. How her parents died, because of someone fecklessness, but she can’t blame that person anymore for that person is also dead.
She felt Marco pulled her into hug, comforting her.
“Why does it have to be parents?” She asked.
“My Dad is the most careful when it comes to driving. Why does it have to be them?!” She asked again frustrated.
“I even blame them for leaving me behind this early.” She added, “I’m suck as their daughter.”
“Don’t say that, Keal. I know Aunt Keren and Uncle Allan won’t agree what you have just said either.” Marco decline to what she said.
