VIII. A Date

I knew it was not the right time to be going on dates and trying to live a normal life. My life stopped being normal when Vincent turned me.

Abby sighed, she knew I was overwhelmed, "Just wear whatever you want, okay?" She said encouragingly.

When I got out of the bathroom I wore a white v neck T-shirt with black ripped jeans and a pair of grey boots that reached my mid-shin."You look awesome. Now leave, and rant about me being annoying and how you're never agreeing to this again. "

She winked.

I smirked and opened the door, shouting behind me as I walked, "Gods, di'Amo. " I groaned with a frown and made my way downstairs.

"You're so dramatic, and don't use my name as an insult. "

Abby retorted."Damit, you're so controlling. Aghh! See this is why I never agree to this, this last time you'll practice on me. ""You look fine."

She said."What did you do, Abby? "Sara asked.

"Nothing, she's just overreacting," Abby said as we came down the stairs, but I continued to walk straight to go outside.

"I told you how much I didn't want to!! "

"She is probably pissed about what happened today, how that little human embarrassed her in front of Robin. "Kenneth said.

"Shut up, I'm going hunting. "I said and started to run.

"I'll go with her," Eros suggested.

"No, let her cool off. She is a lunatic when she's mad. " Abby said before I was too far to listen to them.

He was there by the time I got to the cliff. When he heard something, he began scolding, "Real mature, Luke-"

Then he saw me leaning on a tree smiling, "They did that to you?"

"Once or twice." He smirked.

I walked over to him. "I wanted to show you something. "I say as I took his hand. He smiled and I looked up at him, towering me by half a foot. I lead him to the edge of the cliff and turned him to see the northern lights that you could see from afar, lighting up the forest, making it look like dancing flames over the trees.

He slipped an arm around my waist and pulled me closer to his chest, "This is turning into torture." He admitted against her hair as he nuzzled his nose on it.

"What is?"

"Not being able to kiss you." He confessed. I super speeded around and brought his lips down to mine. He smiled slightly and braided his hands through my hair while I pulled his head down so I could kiss him. I broke apart and he panted, "Wait a second." He muttered, "You're a vampire, 'Twilight' gave me an idea of what vampire was like but you just - "

I snickered, then I laughed unable to control it, "Robin, the only thing 'Twilight' got right was the werewolves. But sparkles? Really? "

He chuckled, "Yeah, you don't sparkle."

He said, "But you are-"

"Complicated?"

"Unique."

I laughed, I didn't want to talk about it. Not with him, yet, "My skin is close to impenetrable and it burns up with the sun. It takes a lot of strength, usually from another vampire or a cursed blade, to make us bleed."

"You can bleed?"

I nodded then I brought up my wrist to my mouth and bit into it slightly. I let him see, "Our blood is the way we are able to change someone else, it can also heal a human part, but in order to turn, we have to die ." I said showed him how quickly it healed, "But it's also our lifeline."

"Whoa." He said, "After all that I . . . I still wonder, are you able to turn into a wolf?"

Curiosity took over my mind, "I don't know, how do you turn? "He grinned, excited to teach,

"We just focus on our wolf, let the light wraps you and we phase, it's simple, not much science to it. Do you want to try?"

"Sure," I said."Okay, I'll talk you through it. Close your eyes. " I did what he told me to, "Wait, take your boots off, you don't want to ruin them."

"Look in my closet, one pair won't be missed," I said but I still took them off."Okay, now think of a wolf, any wolf."

He said and I began to think of his raven black wolf, how pretty it is."I'll guess you're thinking of me?"

"No, self-centered much." I lied.

He laughed at my reply."Sure, now think of the light glowing and changing you onto the wolf picture it. . . "

Suddenly I dropped to my hands and knees, my breath suddenly escaping my lungs and a rush of warmth encircling me. I forced my eyes open and saw as the light took me in. Then when it faded, I was on four legs.'

Shit, I actually did it.'

I thought.'Yeah, you did.' Robin in my mind said to my surprise.

'How can I hear you?''

I don't know. Because I'm your mate, I guess. Maybe I can only hear you when you are in your wolf form. ''

How do I look?'I asked mentally.

'Adorable .'

I moved my head in half circle to show me rolling my eyes.'

You're white, all over.' He described,'Wait a second.'He took off his shoes and ripped out of his clothes, phasing into a black wolf.

'Race ya.'I said and took off running. It was odd at first running on four legs while I had only done it in two, But it was somehow natural. He ran behind me, staying on my heels until he tackled me playfully and licked me.'

Got ya, Wolfgirl.' He said.

'The irony...how come I am bigger than your?''

I'm an Alpha. I'm supposed to be superior than the rest of the wolves, but since your dad was an Alpha King, you're more powerful.' he answered.

'Oh, right. ' I said. I was trying to not think about it. I didn't want to ruin the mood. But still, it lingered in my mind. Then a stupid question came into mind,'Do you howl to the moon?'

'That's offensive.' He said in a flat tone as I got up.'

So was the 'Twilight' comment.'

He barked a laugh.'Come on, let's get you home, Sparkles.'

'Really?''

Yup.' He admitted.

'Fine, I'll call you. . . Hood. 'I said and bumped his shoulder.

'Hood?''

Robin Hood.''

He burst into a howl of laughter,'Fine, we are even.' Then he stopped walking,'May I enter your land, your majesty?'

'Oh, yeah. I forgot I was the . . .the Alpha Queen, right?'

'Yes, my Queen. ' he said and bowed playfully.

'Oh, shut up. And yes, I let you in my land.' I said and he walked to where I was, then we continued to walk, enjoying each others company.

The house was lit up when we got there and Abby was the first one out, "OMG. Jane is that you? Oh, you're so pretty." She gushed. I moved my snout up and down for a nod."GUYS GET OUT HERE !!" She called a little too loud for my senses.

A blur later and they all appeared, "Is that Robin?" Qira asked since she has never really seen him.

"JANE?!" Vincent gasped amazed at the vampire who left his house and came back a werewolf.

"How?" Ken asked.

"I doubt she can speak in this form." Eros said amazed, "And I can't hear her thoughts."

Abby ran into the house and came back with clothes for me and a bag of clothes for Robin."Wasn't that mine?" Ken mumbled as we walked to the forest for cover.

"We will go shopping again tomorrow. "Abby reassured him.

"Awww." Ken groaned.

'How do you change back?' I asked Robin mentally.

'Focus on your beautiful human form.' He said.

I thought of myself and the light took over me once more. I changed with my super speed into my underwear and sports bar. Then slipped on blue pajama shorts and one of my two sizes too big shirt with a pair of flip-flops. I walked out of the forest and walked to my waiting family. Robin came out wearing basketball shorts and a T-shirt that still had a tag on. I snickered and we met as we walked to the people who wanted answers. I took the tag off and fiddled with it."How?" Sara gasped the question again.
