Dr. Keanu finally nodded, agreeing to let Mom be discharged from the hospital.
During this time, I had been tirelessly taking care of her, watching her get better day by day, filling me with hope. After packing our things, I helped Mom out of the hospital room.
The sun was shining brightly, and I took a deep breath, feeling that everything was getting better.
