I told him I would need some time, and he gave me til the end of the year stating he knew I would have it done before then. Nova and I left to head back home but I couldn’t help but wonder why he wanted a vampire dead. Yea we don't get along but to ask one killed there has to be a reason.

I shifted into my wolf and had Nova climb on again we would get home a lot faster this way. I was so deep and thought I didn’t even realize when I ran past our pack on the way to us. It was only when Nova pulled on my fur that I realized they were running back home with us. At first I didn’t bother to see who was with us but then I started to look to see how bad the lecture I was sure to get would be. That’s when I noticed that Noah wasn’t with them, and with it involving both me and his sister I knew he would be so I wondered why he wasn’t.

When we finally made it back home I was exhausted, the trip wasn’t that bad, it was my mind nonstop trying to figure everything out. I was definitely taking a shower and a nap before getting to work with what was plaguing my mind. But once I made it to the pack house doors I could see that's not how my day was going to go.

I could see Noah pacing back and forth waiting for us which confirmed he wanted to follow us but didn’t. When his head snapped in our direction I knew someone told him we were walking up or he smelled me. I stopped when I was in front of him and let Nova slide off my back. He quickly pulled her in a hug telling her to never scare him like that again. I tried to squeeze past them and head upstairs but he stopped me.

“Nevaeh can we please talk?” he asked.

I nodded my head and went back to heading upstairs so I could shift back and get dressed. Knowing I was going to shower immediately after our talk I opted for one of my big hoodies that went to my knees and headed to talk to him. He was still outside but everyone else besides Nova had disappeared. And by the look on both their faces I could tell she filled him in on what happened. If she was going to what was the point in us talking, because he wasn’t changing my mind. But he had to know I wasn’t going to just go after someone without answers I wasn’t some deranged psychopath killer. Nova left so Noah and I could talk, we headed up to his office for some privacy.

“Why?” He asked.

“You're going to have to be more specific” I replied.

“Why did you take off without us? Why did you say you would go after Edward? Do you know how bad I wanted to follow you when you told us where you were, but I didn’t. If I want you to give me a chance, I need to know when to step back but it’s hard for me. Just tell why so I can understand.”

“I tried to leave without Nova also but you know how she can be. And I left without you guys because it was to protect my pack he will see you as a weakness and a tool to get what he wants. I agreed to help him without the pack unless they wish to make him go away. It was after the agreement when I was leaving he asked me to kill Edward. I asked for time, I would like to see why he wanted to send me over his guards who could easily do it, something's not right there. Thank you for trying to give me what I want.” I replied and shocked him with my question. “Would you like to go out to dinner tomorrow night?”

“I would love to.” He almost yelled.

“Ok well you better get planning I’ll be outside at 6 o'clock sharp” I smiled and left.

The moon goddess paired us together for a reason and if he was willing to try not to be so Noah I should be willing to give him a chance. I knew it was hard for him to stay back and let me take off so if he could give a little so could I. But right now my shower and bed were calling my name, and after a nap I wanted to do at least a little research so he could wait a day.

I turned my shower as hot as it could go and jumped in. My muscles started to relax and I could have fallen asleep right then so I’m glad I opted for a shower instead of a bath. A bath I would have passed out and woke up a pruny mess. Once I was cleaned up and my muscles were as relaxed as they were going to be I dried my body off and wrapped my hair in a towel. I was too tired to worry about getting dressed so I just climbed into bed and passed out.

A few hours later I heard a knock on my door. I still didn’t want to deal with anything so I yelled for them to go away. No such luck I heard the door open, damn I should have locked it. I pulled the covers up to cover me as I opened my eyes to see tears in Nova's. I shot up thinking something was wrong.

“Is it true?” She asked.

“Is what true? I don’t know what you mean.” I replied.

“Is it true you asked him to plan a date for you guys? Are you giving my brother a chance?” She rephrased.

“Damn it Nova you woke me up and almost gave me a heart attack thinking something is wrong coming in here like that. Yes I asked him to, if he’s going to try to respect my wishes I’m willing to give us a try. Now get out so I can get dressed.”

Once she was out of my room I got dressed and headed to our library. We kept all kinds of stuff in there and one section in particular was what I was after. We had a section for relations, it pretty much told us who got along and who didn’t along with information on them.

Flipping through the book on Edward I found that his mate was the king’s daughter Alexandria and he had turned her. She was now a hybrid but cut ties with her family in fear of hurting them. How dare her father ask me to kill him. Obviously I didn’t plan on following through, but now I need a plan on what to tell King Matthew. First my date with Noah, then a meeting with Edward, and then I’ll see King Matthew.

I linked the kitchen staff to bring my dinner to my room. I was too tired to deal with everyone tonight. After I ate, I went to bed tomorrow was going to be a busy and big day.
