Unexpected

I ordered some dessert and Nevaeh said she would be back. I took this time just to process again that she agreed to this that she was giving us a chance and how this night was going perfectly. That’s when a weird scent caught my nose, now I know only supernatural’s come to this restaurant since that’s all that could get in. But this was different. I took a deep breath and realized it was a hybrid. There were not too many of them in our community. And just my luck she was coming over my way to ruin this perfect night.

“Hello there handsome I'm here to keep you company as Nevaeh is a little disposed of at the moment with my mate. My name is Elizabeth” she grinned.

I couldn’t hold back my growl as it bubbled in my chest. Was it too much to ask for one night of peace for Nevaeh it seems once we get past one disaster another one is right behind it.

As I watched her interaction with Noah I grew pissed off that this was all happening, my eyes flashed blue as Artemis was trying to take over and rip everyone in the building apart. I took a deep breath and took back full control. A m*********r was not going to solve anything even if it ended this problem I found myself in, but everyone was not at fault.

“Lead the way, so I can get back to my evening. And if your mate so much moves a hair out to place on my mate I will end her” I glared.

He smirked as he led us to a black SUV outside since it would be more private to discuss the matter at hand. He opened the door and helped me in and walked around to the other side to join me. Once he shut my door I knew he was up to something, the SUV was packed with his men. He could have just had a driver and a guard with him but there was only room with us and the middle seat he had 5 of his men in here and more outside.

“So, I hear you have agreed to kill me for your king. Did you even ask before you agreed or are you just another one of the children he has tricked and condemned to come after me?” he questioned.

“First off I did not agree to kill you. His son is crazy and trying to take me from my mate agreed to help him for his son to leave me alone warning him I would kill the prince if he came for me again. It was after the deal was agreed upon and I was leaving he stated he want a favor instead, but it still was me helping him. When he stated I need to kill you I stated I need time, I didn’t tell him why, but I wanted to look into why he had requested this. And what do you mean tricked and condemned?” I growled.

“Well my pet you are going to be my new addition to the dog fights you look like you could catch me some good money not to mention your little mate in there would come for you so ill have some of the best fighters in the ring.” He smiled.

“Before we go I guess I should hold up to my word and kill Alexandria before we go, oh I'm sorry she goes by Elizabeth now” I glared.

I went for the door when I felt a needle pierce my neck and could feel the wolfbane flowing through my veins. These vampires are just asking to die today, I fluttered my eyes to have them believe their plan was working. Then I let Artemis take over since she was more then a little pissed off and I couldn’t take her clawing at our walls to have control. She quickly turned around and reached into the vampire’s chest that was holding the syringe and ripped his heart out. Then shifted our hands into claws and slashed the other two vampire heads off. She turned back to Edward and just smiled before jumping and leaving him and the two she left alive to watch her run after his mate.

I Elizabeth was lying to me when she told me her name. I could just feel it. And when I saw my old guard slowly closing in on us I knew something was about to go down and that my life would never be dull with Nevaeh in it. We would always have someone after us until we have fought the battle and won. She must have linked them to come to me because she is in danger or thinks I am.

“So, Elizabeth my guess is the meeting between our mates isn’t going so well, I see a bunch of pack members heading this way. Which could only mean she linked them that we were in trouble. A pack will do anything for their Luna and Alpha, and since they are here with me and not heading for her my best guess is she’s after you.” I warned.

Elizabeth started to look around like she was looking for backup or for someone to help her. Not seeing anyone her eyes turned red and her fangs dropped out. Was she really going to try to take on a pack of wolves by herself. Before she could make a move, an ear-piercing howl rang out in the restaurant and my mate came into view. Artemis was clearing in control with her eyes being ice blue, Alastor started to whine in my head that something was off.

I could tell that something did seem off, but it was Artemis and she could be unpredictable. Then I saw the vein in her neck looked off. That SOB injected her with his venom. Alastor your going to need to take over and calm Artemis down so we can get her home and get Edwards venom out of her system. Alastor quickly obliged and ran over to her. Mind linking the pack to grab Elizabeth and bring her with us.

Once back at the packhouse Elizabeth was sent down to the cells and Nevaeh was brought to the clinic. She was fighting hard not to hurt anyone, but the venom was making her a little crazy. The fact that when you’re not a vampire’s mate and you are bitten you turns you into a killing machine and addict doesn’t help calm my mind, we know its harmful to us but once bitten and turned into this state you crave it. I just hope Nevaeh is strong enough to fight it and comes back to me.

It has been several hours since we got home, and Nevaeh has finally calmed down, but we still haven’t removed the restraints. She’s asleep and I can’t tear myself away from her to go and see what their plan was. I want to be here when she opens her beautiful hazel eyes. The heart monitor started to pick up and I thought my angel was waking up finally but my heart broke when all of a sudden, she flatlined. Before I could even process what was happening, the door flew open to doctors and nurses coming in to work on her. I growled, and they stepped back but once they saw me walking out the door they went back to work trying to save my angel.

I stormed down the cells ready for blood, Elizabeth blood to be exact he took my world away from me and even if they saved her I still felt her leave me again and he was the cause. He was going to feel my pain only she wasn’t ever going to come back to him. I rounded the corner to her cell to see a white wolf in her place.

“So, Elizabeth your half Vampire and half wolf as well as Edwards mate I guess that makes you Alexandria. Maybe instead of killing you as your mate has done to mine I should just hand you bac over to your father. He will lock you away where Edward could never find you I think that would hurt even more knowing your mate is alive but never seeing her again” I yelled.

I couldn’t help my anger. She may have not put the venom in my mate, but she was apart of the plan. She had to know what he was planning and if not, that was still on her. Alastor was broken not feeling Artemis and his bond. He just wanted to shut down. But Elizabeth shifted back so she could talk.

“Your mate will be fine, she's just transitioning. She may not be his mate, but she is a strong and powerful wolf I felt it. He has done this before for his dog fight, so he has stronger fighters. Which is what he wants her for, and in the end you as well. He will destroy you and your pack even more so now that you have me” she smirked.

Alpha the Luna is stable and awake but there is something wrong with her eyes.
