Meetings

Nova and I ran to the pack house, jumped to my balcony and once inside we shifted back. I handed her a robe so she could walk to her room, none of us are shy since you never know when you're going to have to shift and shift back. We were just very modest and with our rank it’s looked down upon. I went ahead and took a quick shower to get cleaned up before the pack meeting. When I walked back into my room to get dressed Nova was sitting on my bed waiting.

“You know this meeting is because of you.”

“Shut up Nova if anything it’s because of us we both went after the boys” I replied.

“It’s not about us going after the boys but dad will probably throw that in since you have started a few fights today. Not to mention the two warriors that were found passed out by your door earlier” Nova smirked.

Damn she’s right I have been a trouble maker today but I’m my defense. They know to leave me alone, let me throw my little fit and it’s over. When they step in and treat me like a baby I tend to lose control and Artemis acts out. Once I finished getting dressed we headed to the backyard for the meeting.

Everyone was talking amongst themselves, about all the recent events. We were all wondering what was so important since this is the only time a meeting is called. Alpha Michael walked up on the stage to address the meeting, everyone was there but a few warriors on border patrol.

“I called this meeting to discuss the safety of our pack. As a lot of you found out the legend is true, the first golden wolf in centuries has been spotted. And she has been spotted right here in our very own pack. We must keep this a secret, she was in danger before she came to live with us. We have already run into trouble with a wolf and his friends that we have in the cells. I have contacted the king of the wolves to come and take him. During this time Nevaeh needs to be gone so we will be sending our newly turned wolves on a trip so it doesn’t look suspicious. No one is to say a word about her and we are to protect her. Is that understood?” He bellowed.

Everyone replied yes Alpha, and then was dismissed. All the warriors went back to work, the little ones went off to play, and the newly turned wolves went to pack. We all knew we would have to leave soon, but I was hesitant. I knew which wolves the alpha was talking about and I don’t think sending me away was going to help.

I could sense when I met them in the woods that they were strong wolves, especially Alex. It wasn’t until down in the cells when he was getting on my nerves and I kinda lost it that I realized. Alex is a future Alpha but I have no clue what pack, but he is stronger then he should be. His pack must be high up or I missed something, it’s not normal but with so many people pissing me off lately it is possible.

I didn’t want to go against our Alpha. I'm already in enough trouble with him. So I went upstairs and packed my bags for this trip. Alpha didn’t say where we were going so I packed for anything and everything. After I was done packing I went to see Alpha Michael for a meeting of our own.

Alpha Michael lectured me about my behavior which was expected. I also found out he had no choice but to call the king since the wolf down stairs refused to tell what pack he is from or his name. All of us going on the trip leave tomorrow since the royal guard is due to come the following day. Before I left I told him I don’t trust Alex and I felt it best the royal guard was coming so soon to take them away. When I saw how pale the alpha turned when I said Alex's name I knew something was wrong.

“Alpha is everything ok?” I asked.

“Yes Nevaeh, but can I have you come down to the cells and tell me who Alex is please?” He replied.

I nodded my head and he led the way down stairs. When we came upon the cell with the three men I pointed out Alex. I was told that was all and to go and get ready for dinner. I quickly went upstairs after spending time down here twice now and the last time wasn’t pleasant. I didn’t want to stay down longer than needed.

Once upstairs I was going to continue up to my room but there was a knock at the door which was odd no one really knocked on the pack house door. There's an open door policy for the front door. Seeing as someone knocked it might me a guest Alpha didn’t mention so I went and opened the door.

“How can I help you?”

My smile quickly fell when I saw the royal guard standing in front of me. They were early, extremely early. We all were supposed to be gone and of course the one they are not supposed to see answers the door. How stupid could I be I should have just minded my own business and let someone else answer the door. I was pulled out my rant to myself when one of the guards spoke.

“May we come in?” He asked.

“Yes of course let me show you to the great room and I will get Alpha Michael for you before I leave.” I replied.

As I was leading them to the great room I quickly mindlinked Alpha Michael.

Alpha the royal guard is here now! And I’m leading them to the great room afterwards I will go upstairs and grab my bag and leave. I’ll try to put as much distance as I can.

Nevaeh it’s ok it’s already too late they have seen you, I’m on my way up. Just go up to your room and I will have someone get you after they leave.

Once we got in the great room I informed them our Alpha would be with them shortly and left to go to my room. Up in my room I grabbed my bag and opened the window tossing it out. Hopefully this isn’t going to become a habit. But Artemis has a bad feeling and thinks we need to run to save our pack so that’s what we are doing. I jump off the balcony, grab my bag and start running.

“Alpha Michael if you would be so kind to have Prince Alexander released we will bring him home to his father. Fear no punishment as he has mindlinked us that you just found out who he was since he refused to tell you.” Stated one of the guards.

“He is on his way up. I deeply apologize for the misunderstanding. He was following one of our she-wolves around and then they had a mishap when she was put down in the cells as well.” Michael replied.

The guards showed up with the three men and then went back to the cells. Alex crossed the room to the guards and couldn’t hide the smile on his face.

“Took you long enough to find us” Alex laughed. “Now once you grab my enchanting mate that was let out of the cell next to mine we can go.”
