Pack Training

I skidded to a stop when I made it to the waterfall, the memory of the last time I was here flashing through my mind. I looked down at the water still lost in thought my sanctuary has been ruined, it doesn’t feel the same here. What used to bring me warmth and peace now felt cold and haunting, I was about to turn and leave when I was nudged in my side. I looked in the reflection of the water to see Noah’s white wolf that looked almost silver. I could feel him trying to mindlink me so I dropped the wall, to see what he wanted so I could go and just be alone.

“Nevaeh it’s not safe to be out here, we have increased patrols but with hunters already making it here they will come again.” He says in a sad tone.

“I’m going this was just always my safe place but after that day it feels different. I’ll go back to the pack house if you promise to let me stay in my room and just give me some space. That means no guards at my window or door.” I replied.

“Ok only if you go to leave the house you let someone know and they go with” he says with worry in his eyes.

I nod my head in agreement and turn and run towards the pack house. When I get to the tree line I remember I shredded my clothes before my run. I picked up my speed and jumped up to my balcony, and jumped on the handle until I got it open. Once inside I shifted back and went to the bathroom and showered, it’s been days since I showered and the hot water felt amazing. 

But the overwhelming feeling to be outside was back so I decided to go and train. I put on my favorite black and teal sports bra and shorts and grabbed my watch to track my steps and heart rate. I was looking down, putting it on as I opened my door to leave to walk straight into someone’s back.

Seriously hasn’t even been an hour and he’s gone against his word. I was about to get a bottle of water and mindlink a warrior to train with me but now, I got to ditch these two without him knowing and I’m going by myself. Two can play at this game.

“Hey guys, can I get you to lean in I want to tell you something and I can’t mindlink right now it’s a little fuzzy” I smiled.

As soon as they leaned in I pressured pointed both of them right in the brachial plexus origin causing them to drop like a sack of potatoes. I quickly stepped over them and shut my door, grabbed a few waters and headed to the field to train. No one was there and I was grateful for that, I put my headphones in and started to run. I don’t know how long I was running for when my music stopped, I looked over to my phone to find James standing there with his arm crossed over his chest.

I walked over and took a sip of my water and pushed play on my phone. I started to run another lap and once again my music stopped and James crossed his arms over his chest. I’m sure Noah sent him or he found his men on the ground, a smile came to my face. He wanted to bug me fine but then we are going to train. I turned back around and went to the shed grabbing two bow staffs, and threw one to him.

“Ok let’s see what you got old man” I growled.

He got in a fighting stance and I charged him, all you could hear was the smacking sound of the staffs colliding with each other. Here and there, there would be the sickening sound of one of our bones being broken. I had a few bruises but they would be healed and no time so I didn’t care. 

I was about block James when I heard a growl behind me, I started to turn and was hit in the shoulder. My eyes flashed blue and another growl was heard but my focus was getting James back. We continued to fight when the staff was ripped out of my hands from behind 

me. It was Noah and he looked pissed.

“What is wrong with you?” I yelled.

He didn’t get a chance to answer, I started to fight him. Being the future Alpha he was stronger then James, and was more of a challenge. I mindlinked him as I continue my assault.

You said no guards!

I didn’t put them at your door, your uncle did.

And you didn’t think to say something? I am not some weak little girl, I am not an ornament, I’m not made of glass, and I’m not a typical Luna!

I’m sorry. I know you are not but it’s natural to want to protect your mate. You were trying to leave and still tried to give your life for me. So you can’t say I can’t try to protect you Nevaeh. And Artemis you need to calm down! You guys are attacking me in the open the only reason you are not dead is because you are my mate.

Then leave us to work out our frustration with James like we were.

He huffed and agreed he didn’t want to but knew it was the best option. I grabbed my staff and looked at James. we went back to our fight, after about 30 minutes I felt batter and was calmed down. I still felt the need to train since I missed a few days when I was in a coma. So I got James to agree to training versus us fighting, plus we have a training session in a few hours in wolf form which I cant wait for. 

When it was finally time to spar and train with the rest of the pack I was bouncing on my heels, James on the other hand looked exhausted. Everyone was buzzing about me fighting Noah, and how I wasn't in trouble the wanted to know why. When anyone tried to talk to me I just ignored it, I was to focused on getting ready to train and Artemis was pacing my mind ready for everyone to finally get to see her.

"Alright I know we have had a lot of excitement for the last couple of days and training has been upped. Since Nevaeh has had the chance to train in her wolf form we will start with that today please pair up and spar" James announced.

Nova came over to me and asked if we could spar telling me I have been the first one to actually give her a challenge. I nodded my head still upset with how my birthday went when she shocked me hugging me.

"I'm sorry for how the last time we saw each other went, you have always been my best friend. I should have know it would be hard with everything my brother put you through, but with our twin bond all I think about was him being hurt. Can we please put that behind us and best friends again?" Nova said.

"Of course I missed you." I cried. "Now get ready to have your ass handed to you."

We were the first to shift and start to spar, and I could feel everyone watching us. I thought everyone was supposed to spar at the same time, not watch two of the strongest females. Even Noah and Nathan his beta were watching us, so I got an idea and mindlink Nova. She got the same evil wolf grin I had and shook her head in agreement. With that we both turned and went after the boys, being I was still mad at Noah and didn't know if I could hold back I went after Nathan and Nova took on her brother. Neither of them got a chance to shift and held their ground pretty well, Nathan jumped on my back and had me in a choke hold so I flip us on my back crushing him since I wasn't light. He tapped and I went over to help Nova with the big bad future Alpha. Nevaeh and Nova enough rang though the air before I even got the chance to jump in, it was Alpha Michael and once again he didn't look happy with me. Seeing as Nova and I shredded our clothes we were stuck in our wolf form being lectured at. A pack meeting was called for after dinner and all was to attend.
