"You are pretty strong for an angel who doesn't get much practice." Isadora commented as we took a small brake from training and walking through one of the various gardens. I took a big sip of water and then smiled at her, "Thanks." "So you will be heading back home tomorrow at noon?" "Around then. I can't stay here for too long even though I would love to. There is too much to accomplish at home and to many suspicions to avoid." "I wish you could, it always fun having you around and it puts Lucinda in a much better mood when you're here. Sometimes the stress of being queen gets to her, you know?" Isadora glances at me then back to the mansion like house that seemed quite small from the distance we were at. "She's a great queen, though." "Someday you'll be taking over. I'm sure you'll do just as well." Isadora says and I look over at her giving her a weird look. "You do know that you'll take over as queen being the only heir?" She asks and I sigh. "I don't think I'll be accepted. I'm half werewolf after all, and I also have to balance a pack as well after my father gives up his spot. He can't be an alpha forever."  "Seems like you have some tough choices to make." "I do and it seems I have a while to make them so I'm not in any real rush," I tell her. After that, it seems to go into a comfortable silence. It was an incredible day to be out here and I'm surprised not more angels are out here enjoying their gardens while the sun shining and there isn't a single cloud in the sky. "What about your mate?" Isadora breaks the relaxing silence with a question that I wasn't too sure on how to answer. "What do you mean?" "What will you do when you find your mate? If he's a werewolf he'll think you are only a werewolf and expect to become an alpha. If he is an angel, he will think you are a werewolf and you will quite a bit of explaining to do. Then, if you are going to end up like your mother and father, you will have a different species and that is even more explaining to do." "It seems to me that no matter what, there is going to be a lot happening. But either way, I'm not that big into finding my mate right now. I rather make these choices first than go out looking for him. I wish to get this all settled than having to worry about him." "You turned 17 not too long ago, correct?" "Yes, I am now of able age to find my mate," I tell her with a roll of my eyes. "Most werewolves are eager to find their mate, the one they can not live without." She chuckles. "I'm half-angel though," I point out, "Unlike werewolves and vampires, my mate is not of main priority and I can survive without him by me for long periods of time." "Though, you are also half werewolf Rosalyn." She counters my point with one that is quite obvious. "Yes, I know that but my wolf is stronger than most due to the royal blood." I point out, determined to win this little argument with her. "Your wolf will still want your mate." "Crystal can live without him for a while." "You may be right-" "I am." "But you never know till it happens. Just don't reject him, okay?" "I wasn't going to reject him. That would be cruel and although I do have much to do and lots to figure out, looks like he is being thrown into my hectic world." I chuckle and she nods her head as we realize we had gone in a circle and ended up right back at the house with my mother waiting outside on a wooden single with a small smile on her lips and her hands placed neatly on her lap. "Didn't know training had meant going for a walk." She chuckled as we came closer to her. "Sorry Lucinda, Rosalyn wasn't as far behind as I thought she would have been as she only mainly gets to train her wolf and human side." Isadora smiles at my mother. "Well that is good news, have you enjoyed your few days here Rosalyn?" "Everything and everyone here is so nice and well organized. It truly is a shame that I have to leave so soon." "Maybe I'll have to steal you again from your father, a year has been far to long. Yet, as I understand it, you are starting your fourth year of high school in a few weeks?" "Indeed, it is my final year." "And she is finally able to find her mate, so exciting," Isadora said and pinched my cheeks and I rolled my eyes and removed her hand. "Indeed." My mother smiled proudly at me, "Anyway, let's go in. We have a few more angels that would like to meet you, Rosalyn." "Do you they I'm your daughter?" I asked, biting down on my bottom lip. She nods her head, "The angels are much more accepting of a hybrid heir than werewolves ever will be. Almost all of the angels that take residence in this area are aware of who you are." I nodded my head and we went inside the house and into the living room. A man and a woman standing there with their backs faced to us. "Katherine? Gavin?" My mother ask and the two quickly turn around and the man, Gavin ends up stumbling and falling while Katherine just laughs. Katherine was a beautiful woman with silky black hair and bright blue eyes. Her features were not too bold nor too gentle. While Gavin was fairly attractive as well except for he had light blonde hair with gray like eyes. Gavin was a few inches taller than Katherine and she was fairly tall. They both looked like they were in their early twenties. "Queen Lucinda, Princess Rosalyn." They both bowed their heads.  "What about me?" Isadora teased and both of them rolled their eyes. "You are the two angels that got sent to the North American Pack not too far away from here?" I ask with a smile and they both nodded their head. "Indeed princess, though they didn't need our help as they seemed to have things pretty much under control." "Please, the name is Rosalyn," I said politely not very fond of titles. "Yes, Prin- Rosalyn." Gavin corrected his small error and I chuckled. I liked these two. They seemed fine with their weird side and embraced it yet were still able to handle a job like they had a few days back, even if not much needed to be done. * I hugged my mother as I stood by the door. She stroked my hair and sighed, "Please do visit soon Rosalyn, it doesn't have to be announced. It is nice when we get a visit from you." "I will try mother," I tell her I pulled away. "Don't forget-" "To tell father of the rogue attacks." She chuckled and shook her head. Next, Isadora gave me a hug and told me how about I should at least care to find my mate which I let out a chuckle as she seemed so persistent on the topic. Afterward, I got a small good bye from Gavin and Katherine who I grew very fond of over the little time we spent together. That was it. I walked down the pathway, looking once more at the house before taking off my top and shorts to reveal a tight fighting black tank top and shorts. I transformed into my pure white wolf and took off running back towards home. It might have been safer to use my wings and get a quick run out of them before I won't be able to use them for a while and go to a small city and take a train, plane or something like that back, but my wolf was in a dire need of a run and this was just the perfect opportunity to do so.
