Thursday of February
It was on the 27, thanag asked if I could accompany her to the college, she was going to meet an old
friend of hers, I agreed. I didn’t want to be stuck inside the house and get bored, so we took turns
in the bathroom and headed out. It was a little bit windy that day. We walked and the we’re few
people on the streets, the security guard at the gate said are you guys her to collect your student’s
cards? We said yes.
we went to the student desk and there he was, I hand not seen him in weeks, he walked towards me
and said how could you take my number and not call me or text even. I could not bring myself to say
that my friend is the one who wanted your number not me.
I said I will call you, he looked at me and said go on call. “I don’t have any minutes and I’m out of
data but I can call you with my friend’s number” he stood there without saying anything. He handed
me his phone and said go on write your number. I glanced at my friend to get her approval she
looked at me. I had no choice but to write him my number. He slowly walked away and called for this
girl that I didn’t know. She was so beautiful and skinny. They held hands ? and giggled together, on
our way back she said nothing as if she was angry at me.
I asked why are you so quiet, What’s going on?
she said are you going to call him, “No! I’m not. You’re the one who should call him not me” We
hurried to our room. “I’m starving I said, We should make a pack of noodles ? Her anger started to
fade.
We decided to call him, his phone rang, my roommate could not stop blushing as if she was already
in love. Maybe she was.
(Hello, he said, I went silent. Hello!! My friend said hi! Your talking to Felicia’s roommates,
Chris:” oh You need something?
Thanga: “We wanted to say hi.
Chris: “well She should greet me herself”
I hang up on him. I could not bring myself to speak to him on the phone.
Thanga: Why did you do that she said?
I'm sorry, I was not thinking.
