2020 I just got my matric result, I got a D it wasn't what I wanted but I was happy that I made it. Few universities rejected me but 2 colleges accepted my application, I thought that I was heading to a free state when my parents dropped the bomb. I was told that I won't be going to Free State because I'm heading to Limpopo. I talked to my brother and he told me that Polokwane is a great place to be. As I packed my bags, excited to go to Polokwane. All I could think of was the place. I couldn't sleep. The next day in the morning my father told me to get ready. As we were driving we suddenly took a U-turn somewhere, I asked where are we going? He said "Your brother-in-law applied at Mopani Tvet College and you got in, so we are no longer going to Polokwane. My world came down crashing like an avalanche. I pause for a minute trying to process what I have just heard ? . Why? I asked. I don't want to go there; I don't like it. My father said "I have made my decision and it is final. I looked at my mom hoping that she would say something but she said nothing. I lost all hope. We arrived and I couldn't look at my brother-in-law as he welcomed my dad and me. All I could think of was why is he doing this, I had never dreamed of being here, the place was hot ? as I heard from my cousins who warned me about the place. I didn't want to fill in those forms but my brother-in-law did. I could not even eat and before I knew it we were heading back. I cried on my way home thinking that maybe my tears ? would move my dad but it did not work. He happily said "We will be heading back next week to look for a room and it is closer to my job so I can see you every day. I prayed that the week would go slow. But it came and my mother packed my bags, forced me into the car and my dad drove. While I was pitting myself and hating my dad, my brother-in-law was busy poisoning my sister to find me a room closer to the college. She did get me a room closer and my dad already gave my sister money to buy me a bed ? I got to the place and my dad gave me money to get situated. I didn't like it but I had no choice of being there. It was a house, we lived with our land Lords. They were a married couple. We were living with their children, I had an inside room and the man was weird. Two ladies knocked on my door. I knew that they were also students renting, they greeted me and made me feel welcome. It was Nelisiwe and Thanga. Nelisiwe was from Tzaneen and Thanga from Venda. A week passed by and I was already close to them, they showed me the way around at school even at the mall. One day, Neli asked if we could accompany her to the mall to meet up with a guy and buy groceries. We said yes. We passed by an ice cream shop and bought three ice creams ? It was hot that day. As we were walking thanga started a conversation about how she was lonely and needed a man. We got to the mall and waited for the guy to arrive, he was a working man. He arrived We were in between ShopRite and Checkers the mall was divided into two junctions. There were chairs against the second line of the mall. Looking forward at the Shoprite entrance. Thanga said "Help me look for a man" I agreed because I was not a shy person. A few guys passed by but she just said no. And then he passed by she stared at him so wildly and said, I want him, I said " he is gone but I feel like he will pass by so let us wait. We waited and Neli kept chatting with her boyfriend, and he showed up. He was wearing a blue shirt with skinny jeans I shouted Hey! he didn't look back. I shouted hey, you with a blue shirt! He looked around and I waved at him, as he pointed his index finger at himself. I said yes, you come here. He walked towards me, he looked shocked with wildly open eyes as if I was going to eat him. As he walked toward me, my heart started pounding so much as if I would die any moment. I stuttered a little and said hi! He was quiet and I said Hello, he replied oh hi, do you know me? He asked. " No, I don't but I'm intrigued by your beauty. He gushed as I gushed. I couldn't even look at my roommate. May I have your number? He smiled at me and said yes, but which one? " any number is good with me. I blushed. My eyes just wanted to stare at him, he started walking away. I turned and asked my roommate. Do you like him? She blushed ☺️ and said yes. We decided to do some shopping and before we knew it, it was Dawn. Hurry! " Neli said". Thanga I saw this handsome guy and I want him, need him. She could not stop talking about him as if she knew him.
