When Laney went to work practically floating on air Monday morning, it only took two minutes for Paisley to get the story out of her.
“You kissed him?”
“He kissed me. I kissed him. He kissed me again. Yes, we kissed and it was amazing.” Laney lifted up on her tiptoes.
Paisley shook her head. “I knew you had it bad for that boy.”
“You're right, I did have it bad for that boy when I was a teenager, but he's not a boy anymore.” Laney sighed remembering kissing Billy the man. “I have to say it was more than I expected. And I’d do it again in a heartbeat.”
Paisley clicked her tongue. “I'd better have you working late then. To keep you out of trouble.”
“Oliver and I are going over to his place tonight to finish up the brig.”
