Laney went to work Saturday morning for a couple hours to finish up some silk arrangements. Paisley was letting Lacey Johnson, the new owner of The Santorini Café, use the arrangements for their float during the upcoming Homecoming parade. After work, Laney picked up Oliver and took him to story time at the Echo Ridge Library. On the way she kept looking for Billy’s red truck, the one she’d seen a few times with his Redbuilt logo on the side. She still couldn’t make sense of the few interactions they’d had—maybe the library would have a riveting novel she could read to take her mind off of Billy.
