Chapter 6
Monday morning Billy rushed from the job site of Drew and Chelsea’s home to get to the planning meeting at the high school. Part of him was already wishing he hadn’t agreed to help build the backdrop for the homecoming dance. Where was he going to come up with the extra hours he’d need to do that?
He pushed open the door and walked into the room. There were a couple high school students sitting at a table going over a checklist on a clipboard. He nodded when they looked up. “Sorry, I’m late. I hurried as fast as I could to get here.”
