Chapter 9
Laney wasn’t sure who was more nervous on Oliver’s first day of kindergarten, actually that wasn’t true, she was definitely more nervous. Oliver was so excited to go to school that she’d barely had time to kiss him goodbye before he found his table and started chatting with another little boy.
She worried how he would do in all-day kindergarten, but when she picked him up just after three o’clock, Oliver had a grin that reached toward his ears.
“Mom, I love school! It’s the best ever and Mrs. Jensen said we’re going to read more stories on the rug tomorrow!” Oliver hugged Laney and kept talking as she helped him into the car.
