The Saviours Of Eternal

The sound of kids playing in the ground scattered throughout the school. Darwin was sitting in the third row beside the window of class 10-b. He went on spinning his pen on the last tiresome lecture. While sometimes he even peeked out of the window. He moved his eyes to his wrist watch and then to clock above black board. Neither of the minute hand moved nor his legs. Only fifteen minutes to go. No wonder if he had slept or quit listening. Bell rang. “Ok students, class is over for today and don’t forget to complete your homework” mam said and she left the class. The soft murmuring sound soon became chaotic. Every student was happy that they were going home. Same happiness to Darwin, but that was not because of going home. “Alright I’m leaving then, don’t be late.”, Darwin said while packing his stuff inside his bag. “Why so soon?”, Henry Max, his only friend, asked him. But before listening to his question, he already went. Darwin ran on the sunny corridor, until he saw something. There was a crowd encompassing someone, full of laughter. Darwin went to explore about their laughter, just randomly and nothing. Since his eyes were a little blurry because of sleep in last class, he couldn’t figure out who it was. And also couldn't because of the crowd. He peeped through narrow spaces and was shocked. There stood a girl who looked half appalled and that was Liliana. Liliana, Darwin and Henry these three were childhood friends but now Liliana and Darwin have a crush on each and Henry was the only one who knows all about them but pretends like he didn't know about it. Many girls and boys of tenth grade surrounded her and were chortling at her. One of the boys came forward and that was James. He asked, “So you went to the library to take this useless book, right.”. Another boy from the crowd took the book in hand and that was Lucas. He read the title loudly, “Witch and Wizard around us! Oh, this damn girl believes in magic.”. Everybody poked fun at her. No wonder, because those two boys James and Lucas have the habit of teasing her every time. Not only her but they tease everybody and nobody knows. They both usually act mad by gathering crowds. Whatever, without taking anything into mind, Darwin went near the teasing ones and snatched the book from Lucas. He glared at him and said, “This is none of your business.”. “All leave now.”, Darwin shouted towards the crowd. “This is none of your business too Darwin, this girl believes in witches and wizards!”, James said as everyone chuckled. Darwin furrowed his eyebrows and asked, “Do you have any problem with that?”. Everybody stood silent including those two boys. “Then I’m warning you all, especially you both, get lost.”, he said. James made an attempt to grab Darwin’s collar and immediately Darwin shook off his hand. "I can't understand why you both react more.", Darwin joked as everyone giggled. He called Liliana to come and they both left that place. Darwin was a very loyal and kind person. Demonstrating his character would make everyone feel like whether he was a king or lived such a life before. Because it was really hard to find such a character in humans. They both came far away from the crowd. He then handed the book to Liliana and asked, “Are you ok, Lily?”. She didn’t reply but only nodded. Darwin could feel her situation so he didn't enquire anything. He smiled and left the place immediately because her beauty didn’t leave him to speak more. Liliana was a fifteen-year-old girl. Her hair was naturally brown and eyes were light hazel. She was Slim with medium height and pale skin. But these all didn’t attract Darwin. The only thing was her silence and her softest heart. Darwin and Henry Max both are fifteen years old. Darwin's hair was black and eyes were brown while Henry's hair and eyes both were brown. Henry rushed out towards the corridor to view what had happened. He saw a huge crowd far and Liliana, so he went towards Liliana and asked what had happened. She stood silent by bowing her head down. “What happened to you?”, Henry asked as he shook her deadly. After all, Liliana came to consciousness and said everything. He got angry and busted like a volcano. "How dare they? Can't they mind their own business? What they'll get from teasing you? I'm going to kill them. They are gonna get severe punishment for teasing you.". Henry started shouting angrily. "Henry please stop.". She stopped him and conveyed him about Darwin’s help. “But he went already, then how?”. "Are you lying?", he asked. “No, I didn't lie. He is the one who helped me" she said. "Really?", he asked and Liliana nodded. “Ok come we’ll go", he comforted her and took her out to relax. When Darwin stepped out of school, someone barricaded him from moving. There headed a man of five feet nine inches, wearing white shirt and black pants. He went near the luxurious car and opened the door. He was their family driver. “Darwin please get in. Your parents are going to an important meeting. We shall move to home.”. This usually happens, his parents would always be busy on their business and leave him alone at home. They only wanted to develop their business and they were not even sure about Darwin’s studies. “Not only today, but every day.”, Darwin thought. He loves his mom and dad but they just forgot to spend time with their son. “I’m not coming, please. I have some work." he said and was about to walk away. The driver interrupted,“May I know where you’re going?". Darwin stopped and turned towards the driver. “To Denim lake” he said and walked past the driver. Yes, a lake. Because that lake was the favorite place for both the boys. Maximum of the free time these boys spent relaxing there. When Darwin was on the way, he thought about the book “Witch and Wizard around us”. Darwin hadn't gone to the library for many days and also since henry was not there he decided to go there and spend some time valuably. To be honest the weather was very pleasant. The library was situated just near a beautiful garden. Anybody who goes to the library, surely had to experience the pleasing odor of flowers. And Darwin especially goes for that. Just a few meters apart from the library, he saw an old woman and her granddaughter were watering the flowers. He smiled with thumbs up and said,” Great job”. The little girl waved her hand and he waved back. He reached the library. He stood in front of it and thought ,“Hope nobody is there in the library”. He opened the door. “What a surprise! You are here after a long time”, an old yet wise man, nearly 60 years old who was sitting in front of the computer said. It was Mr. Mathew, the librarian. “sir, you are here. Good evening sir. How are you?”, Darwin said and he bowed. “I’m doing good.” “Mm…. you are looking more handsome than before.”, Mr. Mathew said. “Is that so?”, Darwin wondered. Mr. Mathew nodded yet Darwin couldn’t accept that. “Don’t you believe me? It’s true.”, Mr. Mathew said and Darwin could find that he was really serious in his words. At last Darwin accepted and thanked him. “I seriously have another thing to discuss with you.”, “Nowadays one of your friends spend more time in the library.”, the librarian said silently. “You already know sir, Henry won’t really make such an attempt ever.”, Darwin joked which made Mr. Mathew to laugh a bit vigorously. On hearing Laughter, Liliana jerked. She was puzzled, “God, why do they laugh like ghosts?”. “I know about Henry and it’s not him, it’s Liliana.”, he said. Darwin froze into surprise to see Liliana there. To stop the conversation for now, Darwin asked about the magazines. He asked whether there were any new arrivals of magazines and the librarian replied that there were not so many arrivals of magazines. Hearing their conversation regarding the book, she realized the type of book she was reading. "Again....! If he sees this, he'll really think bad about me.". In the blink of an eye she grabbed all four books together and ran towards the fantasy section. Without her knowledge, she left one of the books at the corner of the table. "Hope he didn't see this.". She waited for a minute and took a deep breathe. "Hey Lily.", Darwin called. Liliana turned and faced him. "Hi Darwin.". "So, what were you murmuring?". He lifted up his hand to search for a magazine. "N….nothing!". He stopped searching and crossed his arms. "Seriously?", he questioned. She avoided eye contact with him. "You are searching for a magazine. Aren't you?". She tried to change the topic. Darwin smiled. "Yes I am.". He took some magazines in hand and headed towards the table. "Darwin.". She grabbed his hand. Darwin turned. Her eyes shimmered like diamond. "Thank you, for saving me from them.", "I'm leaving, bye.", she said and walked out of the library. Darwin kept on staring at her till she left. "She is…..good.". He sat on the same table where Liliana sat and started to read magazines. Suddenly something on that table disturbed his eyes. It was that book which Liliana left. "I think Lily forgot to keep this book on the bookshelf.". He stretched his hand to take that book. He took that book and stood up. While he was about to leave, he brought that book in front of his eyes and clearly saw the title. "Witch and wizard around us!". Darwin recalled. "This book!". "Are witches really true?", he questioned himself. He couldn’t stop his curiosity to find out whether they were true or not. Hence to stop this he had to open that book and he really did that. He started to read that book. "Oh s**t! This is just a story.". All his curiosity was vanished. "But this is not bad. I have never thought that a story would be so good.". He went to the librarian and asked, "Mr. Mathew, I have never seen this book in any of the bookstores and libraries and have never heard about it. How only your library has this?". Mr. Mathew lifted up his head. "Which one? Give me that.". Then I handed it to him. He took a look at that book and immediately replied, "I don't know.". Darwin stood perplexed by thinking what caused him to convey such an answer. He just said that he didn't know about it. Darwin thought how come his library contains a book without his knowledge? "Just wait. Don't confuse yourself Darwin.". He stood up from his seat and came towards Darwin with that book. "See this.". He took that book up, showed the cover page and pointed his finger below the right corner of that book. Darwin saw. "Violet!", he whispered. "Yes, she is the author of this book.". He brought that book down. "There is nobody who writes books in the name violet and I haven't heard about such types of books too.", the librarian said. He handed that book back to Darwin. He turned and walked towards his seat. "But, this book is nice, you can try making more copies of this right." Mr. Mathew stopped there. "Do you think I can?". He sat on a chair. "How can I make more copies of a book without an author's permission.", he asked. "Yes, you're right.", Darwin replied. "You don't get serious on this, because you can find more books like this over there in the fantasy section.". Darwin twisted his head back to view the fantasy section. "Oh really! Ok Mr. Mathew, thank you.", Darwin said as he went to the fantasy section to leave that book there. Suddenly he heard some books falling down. He urged himself to run towards that sound. He found that some books were scattered down. Darwin tried to find who did that. He saw a person trying to hide from Darwin's sight. "Who's that?", Darwin asked. Hearing his voice that person started to run. Darwin chased and that person was a woman wearing a black cloak and had medium sized grey hair. She ran towards the backdoor and slammed it. She escaped. There was a small transparent glass in the top of that backdoor through which she saw Darwin. Her eyes were green which really looked dark and angry. Darwin took aback by her fearful eyes as he went senseless for a minute. She simply vanished away. Darwin got his senses back and went near the backdoor. He opened it as quickly as a flash but she wasn't there. Since he was a little afraid, he didn’t go to search for her. He came in and started to clean the fallen books. When he was on his work he witnessed some long pendant kind of thing beneath the bookshelf. He lifted it up. That chain was really different. It was made up of bronze. It had a circle of diameter approximately two inches with diamond shaped emerald stone placed in the centre of the circle. The four sides of stone were margined by bronze and corners were molded with that circle. All he wanted was to leave that library immediately. He put that chain in his pocket and went to Mr. Mathew. "Goodbye Mr. Mathew. See you soon and take care.". "Alright, goodbye, visit more". Mr. Mathew smiled and Darwin smiled back. Finally he left that library and off to the Denim lake. Everything was quite weird which even didn't leave him to think. Moreover Suddenly he felt that someone was following him. He turned and searched. As usually nobody was there but rapidly he experienced that awkward feeling throughout his way. There was a small bridge near Denim lake where people crowd and spend time watching the sunset with their family every evening. Although life was so hurtful to him, he didn’t spend all his time feeling sad for that. Even his parents didn't spend time with him, he had one to share his feelings with and that was Henry. He found that at least others happiness might affect his sadness and quit the possibilities of being sad around. But that evening was totally different. It was quite weird that silence spread all over the bridge. This made Darwin sad and worried. “How come everybody is staying home? I don’t think so this is a busy day for all.”, “No, I think I came so early.”. The bridge was so cold and scary and also again he felt someone was following him. His brain was almost blank. “I hate this. I’ll better leave this place fast", he said to himself. Darwin ran towards the lake, all at once there was a screaming noise. “Help….”. He stopped running and went around to discover. “Please, somebody help me, help", again the same screamed. After some seconds Darwin found a lady in the middle of the lake. She was drowning. Soon he ran towards the lake to help her. He went near the lake, throwed his bag on the ground and shouted, “Madam, where are you?”, “please show me your hand". Darwin was confused because there was no sign of that lady inside the lake. The lake was quite and still. "Is she dead?". While searching somebody from back pushed him inside the lake. Instead of falling into the lake he gripped himself to fall sideways on the grass. He shouted," Who's that? Who is trying to kill me?". He managed himself to stand up and moved his eyes here and there to find out who that was. Darwin’s whole body started shivering. It was devils. Exactly, those who tried to kill him were undoubtedly devils. They didn't have any defined body or shape and everything looked like black ash flying over his head but one thing, their eyes were like red bulbs. There are totally five devils. "Why are these devils attempting to kill me?", Darwin said to himself. "I didn't do anything. Did I?". They started to capture him. He couldn’t see anything. Those devils dragged him horribly inside the lake. Darwin refused with his full strength. His dress was torn by devils and almost he was dead. To save himself he just shook his hand and shouted,"Ahh….". He accidentally showed his palm and that was the one which really saved him from devils. Immediately a big flash came from his palm and one of the devils vanished. Darwin couldn’t understand what power that was. "Is this magic?". He was stunned. "What did I do now?". But still there were four other devils which kept on attacking him. He stopped thinking and did the same to all devils. "Go away!", he shouted. All devils faded away and with that he fainted and fell down on grass. After sometime Henry reached the lake and was shocked when he found that Darwin was fainted. He went near him and placed his head on his lap. "Darwin, wake up.". He slapped his face two to three times but he didn't wake up. Henry got an idea and went near the lake. He cupped his hand and fetched some water. He came back to Darwin and sprinkled it on his face. Slowly he started to open his eyes and sat. "Are you ok now?", Henry asked. Darwin nodded and wiped his face with hands. "What happened to you? Why is your dress torn and why did you faint?". Darwin stood up and searched. "Where are they?". Darwin ran here and there and came near Henry. "Did they hurt you?", Darwin asked. Henry was confused. "But whom?". Darwin grabbed Henry's hand and said,"We'll leave this lake first.". "But….". "I'll tell you. Come.". Both left the lake.
