ZOREN smiled genuinely as the woman at the age of 45 noticed him as he entered the coffee shop. This is where he always goes every time he feels alone and stressed. The coffee in the coffee shop is his medicine as well as the owner who treated him as her second son. He was treating her too as his second mom. They met each other a few years ago and their bond like a mom and son. "Wendy, I'm happy to see you," he smiled as he came closer to her, she removed her cap and leather apron, maybe she forgot to remove it earlier when she was in the kitchen making coffee. She immediately hugged him, embracing him after a long tiring, and stressful week was a good way to remove those stresses and tiredness. "I miss you! I thought you would be busy for the next couple of weeks?" she asks him. She remembered he told her that he wouldn't be able to visit her last week because he had a hectic schedule yet he was here right now visiting her. She was happy to see him today in her coffee shop, it was just that she respected his time and schedule of business. She knew he had a lot of things to do in his business as well as she did. She wanted to ask him about the news she read, it was all about the Almazon's Forest but she kept it to herself and decided not to ask the gentleman. "I am, I was stressed and I want your coffee, Wendy, would you make me one today?" he asked, it's a question but more of like, him, requesting for a coffee on his mother. "I want my medicine for my stress and tiredness," he added and that made her smile. She was happy that every time she made coffee, it felt like it was magical for him to the point that he was always saying to Wendy that it was his medicine for stress and some kind of emotions in him. That made Wendy smile widened. "Zoren, I was not expecting you to visit me," she said, she still could not recover from the thought that he was here in the coffee shop and hugging her. His smile widened. He was satisfied with the reaction he received from his second mother. That's what he's expecting and he achieved it. "I'm happy you are surprised by me, that's the goal of my visit today." He said proudly. He has nothing to do for this hour and his next meeting will probably be around noon so he has more time to stay in the coffee shop before going home and sleep. "You should have texted me, what If I was not here?" She asked worriedly. She sometimes does not go here due to multiple appointments and meetings with other people who would like to franchise her coffee shop. "I don't want to miss the chance of seeing you because you are a busy person now. Don't do this again. Don't surprise me." She said and still kept the smile on her face for him. "No. I will still surprise you." He said, declining Wendy's request. Wendy laughed and expected the same answer he got from him just now. Of course, he would not be the Zoren she knew if he did not decline her words. "You know what? You are still the same, you did not change. You are still hard-headed," she commented and she was right, he was still the man who was hard-headed and did not follow anyone's request or order. Well, he is the boss and he has all the rights to act so he should be the one to be followed by everyone around him. They laughed and she told him to wait and she would make him coffee that he wanted. It's a matcha coffee with cheesecake. It's a weird combination but he liked it. It's her experiment yet he was able to like that and ever since he tasted it, he marked that it is his favorite matcha coffee ever. She did not expect that he would like it too much, she was just experimenting with her new menus and then suddenly he tasted everything he liked the matcha coffee and he was always requesting it whenever he was here in the coffee shop. Well, it was the best selling up until now, no doubt that he has a taste when it comes to coffee. Wendy excused herself to prepare a coffee for them, "Sit wherever you want and feel at home in my coffee shop," she said smiling before leaving him and going to the kitchen to prepare their coffee and their breakfast. The good thing about this coffee shop is the place is very relaxing and calming, it has its flavor besides all the coffee shops in the town. That's why a lot of coffee lovers choose to drink coffee here. Well, it cannot be denied how good the coffee is in here. A relaxing and calming place is just a bonus. He sat on the table near the counter kitchen so he could watch Wendy preparing for their coffee. He smiled as he watched her doing the coffee he liked, he liked seeing his second mom doing what he liked, Wendy supported him in all the things he loved and wanted to do. He got the support he likes from Wendy. Though he has a good relationship with her real mother. It is just that their bond is something extraordinary. While waiting with Wendy, he took his phone and checked if there was an update with his brother. Good thing he has not done anything stupid since yesterday. He wondered what his brother got into a few days ago or what food he had eaten to be kind and not do anything stupid. While checking his phone, something popped up on his notification. It was a message from his ex. I miss you. Three words that he did not expect to receive this early morning. What the hell? His eyebrows met and did not know what to feel though he was confused and irritated at the same time. Why in the hell would she suddenly text him? After three whole f*****g years of having no clue about her existence. Just why?
