EVEY'S POV
"Did you really think I wasn't going to come for you? After everything you and your mate did?" Scott is full of anger. He broke into my house, and I didn't have time to react. He punched me and took that moment to drag me by the hair.
As soon as I could, I pushed him away and ran, but he caught up to me.
"You are evil and crazy! You don't care about anyone but yourself, that is why you left your mate, alone! Coward!" I yell at him, and the moment I do, the sky starts thundering.
"I will get my mate and kill yours. You will be responsible for the death of a second mate. What a shame." He says, shaking his head.
"Evey, I'm close. That asshole is going to pay for touching you!" I hear Drew in my head, feeling immediate relief. He is close. He won't let Scott take me.
