JACK WAS OUT SEARCHING for Zara when he heard the call over the announcement system.
“Warning, unauthorised airlock cycling on level three, emergency crews to Airlock three-five.” Jack looked around at two crewmembers.
“With me!” he said as he turned on his heel and searched his mind for Airlock three-five, it was in one of the sections that was almost ready to be cleared for habitation, it had atmosphere and gravity but was on minimal power until it was to be cleared for people to begin to use the crew quarters that were located there.
Jack’s heart pounded as he raced towards the airlock, turning corners left and right, and the crew not two steps behind him. The flashing blue lights and the klaxon were seen and heard as they rounded the next corner into the desert
