Mafia Girl

I woke up feeling great today. It had been a long summer. I had moved in with my father, and had a funeral for my mother, and I also started street fighting. Actually, that’s tomorrow. But today is my first day at the new school father enrolled me in. Personally, I don’t want to go to school, but what other choice do I have?  I quickly got dressed in black ripped skinny jeans and a white tight top and white Nike’s. I brushed my hair and let it’s brown waves cascade down my back. I put on a little mascara to let my blue eyes pop and I was ready.  “Miss Rey, your car is ready.” Mike informed me. He’s my designated driver and skilled eyes and ears. I smiled and proceeded down the stairs with him in tow. “Madeline.” My dad spit. I stopped and glared at him. “Your fight has been moved up. It’s now tonight.” He smirked. I narrowed my eyes.  “I f*****g hate you.” I said dryly and then I left. I walked right out the door and into my black sports car. Mike hopped in the back because I wanted to drive and then I was off.  *** Right when I entered the school yard, people stared at my car. I hadn’t gotten out yet, and I didn’t want to. But Mike said my dad needed him. So I stuck on a jean jacket and I hopped out. People’s jaws literally dropped. I raised an eyebrow at most of them and they smiled nervously. One girl dared to come up to me. “Who the f**k are you!” She screeched. I raised my eyebrows.  “Definitely not someone who wants to talk to you.” I said and side stepped her. I heard a loud scream and next thing you know I was getting slapped. First day and I might get mad already.  “Listen here you b***h, if you ever talk to me again, i’ll kill you!” She screams in my face. I raise an eyebrow. She is quickly pulled back by...three gorgeous guys. All gorgeous in different ways. One in particular was worth drooling over.  “Hands off, Mara.” One of them glared at the girl. “You have to stop acting like this!” I raised an eyebrow. “I don’t f*****g care! She’s a w***e!” She shouted. Everyone around us gasped. “I’ve seen her before. She’s that f*****g girl that was involved with Karen!! That b***h was a f*****g trader.” She sneered, making everyone take a step back. The guys around her looked to me kind of motioning me to walk away. I took a step forward, getting right in the girls face. Mara. If that’s her name then she has to be Mara Kingston. She was part of the Mafia until she betrayed us. Shes out for blood, so what is she doing here? “Look, Mara Kingston, I don’t care if you call me names, slap me, beat me, humiliate me even. I don’t care. If you did any of that, it would all just be entertaining for me. Now, I suggest you stop feeding people s**t and up your game, because so far, it hasn’t gotten you anywhere. See you.” I said. I walked past them and into the school. Now, lets investigate. *** By lunchtime, I was known as Maddie. I almost yelled at my math teacher when he tried calling me Madeline. That’s the name I use for street fighting and gang business only.  I was close to the lunchroom so I sped up my pace like any normal teen would. Right when I stepped foot inside, it was silent. Not very welcoming.  “Maddie!” It was one of the guys from earlier jogging up to me. He had glasses which made him look appealingly sexy. Big muscles like the rest of them, and blue eyes. His dark hair shone underneath the lights. I raised an eyebrow. “Hi.” He said once he was up close. I chuckled. “Hi?” I said. He smirked. God, did he look appealing. “Wanna sit with me and the boys?” He asked. I peered back at the table and didn’t see any Mara so I shrugged. I walked past him and chuckled when he ran up next to me. We sat down at the table with the two other guys who were staring at me. It was awkward.  “I’m Liam Kingston.” Liam grinned. I raised my eyebrows. He’s related to Mara. “Mara is my cousin. Second cousin. I don’t even know.” He twisted his lips. I nodded. “And i’m Matt Porter.” Matt said, holding out a hand. I shook it lightly.  “Carter Black.” I smiled and shook his hand too. “Ok, enough of our introductions, who are you?” Carter asked eagerly. I sighed. “Maddie Ortega. 17. Currently tired.” I lied. We all started laughing after a minute of silence.  “Damn, it’s like i’m the judge and you're the guilty girl.” Liam winked. We laughed again. “So Maddie, why did you move here?” Matt asked. I shrugged.  “My mom got a new job.” I said hesitantly. Ok, lets change the subject. “Uhm, so..give me the layout of the week.” I said, mentally sighing when Liam and Matt went all off about sports and parties. It was when Matt and Liam started talking to each other, Carter spoke lowly in my ear.  “What are you hiding?” He asked. I whipped my head to face him. I saw a smirk grace his features before I raised my eyebrows. “How do you know im hiding something?” I said in a ‘duh’ tone.”And anyways, i can’t trust you even if I was hiding something.” He chuckled.  “Trust me, you’ll want to trust me later.” He said. Before I could respond, the bell rang indicating we all had to leave. He got me. That fucker. What does he mean though?
