Chapter 15- Meeting Gautam!

Vihaan POV:-

After my talk with Jay, we took the children and left for their home.

The children didn't sleep a bit the whole night. They didn't cry after I talked to them and told them I was their Tau Ji(Older Uncle).

I talked about their life, and they told me about their mom, Anjali, and her parents.

They even told me their mother bought a house for them, but because of the children, they didn't shift till now.

I told them about their father and showed them his pictures.

Children looked at their father's picture in awe.

They reminded me of our childhood when Tej and Aku were almost two years old.

I remember how our mother used to teach me all Indian traditions.

She told us lots of stories about our Hindu Rituals.

When Tej and Aku turned 7, the very next day, maa called all of us and made the whole family sit together.

At that time, maa, papa, and Uncle Tanish were present as elders.

Tej, Aku, Puru, Rudi, Jay, and I were sitting in front of them in our playroom.

Then mother revealed their past and my birth truth.

I cried hard after hearing everything.

After all, the love I received and my feature matching my mother never made me realize I was her adopted child.

Papa and mama gave me their whole love that day and made me realize they always loved me as their child. But they never wanted to hide everything from us. So, they decided to tell us everything.

Mama even told me if I wanted to take my parent's surname, she would let me do that.

But I hugged her immediately and told her I was okay carrying her surname.

After hearing about her past, I promised myself I would never become second Mr. Tanish Kashyap.

But what I did today made me realize I broke my promise a few years ago.

I promised myself at that moment that I would control my anger issues.

The person who can help me with this is my dear sister-in-law and her best friend.

Currently, Jay was driving the car, and Rudi was sitting in the passenger seat. On the other side, Anjali and I sat on the back side of the car while holding the kids.

I held the baby girl, while Anjali held the baby boy.

She was playing with him, and I was looking at her in awe.

I could see that she would become a good mother.

She may have a short temper, but I can see she truly cared for the children and her best friend.

Jay suddenly pulled the brakes, and I caught Anjali's wrist. I pushed her towards me and caged her in my arms.

So, She and the children won't get hurt.

I felt peace hugging her. Unknowing, a relieved sigh came out of my mouth.

" Are you guys okay? " I heard Rudi's voice.

I came out from the thoughts and loosened my grip on Anjali.

She sat away from me and blushed.

How cute!

" Yes, we are fine. Why did you apply the brake so suddenly, Jay? " I asked.

" Bhai Sa(Older brother), a cat suddenly came in front of our car. " Jay explained, and I nodded.

" Okay! But drive more carefully. " I said, and he nodded.

In ten minutes, we reached Anjali's home.

We entered their home and put the children in their cribs as they were sleeping after drinking their milk.

After that, we came out and saw Anjali's parents who looked at me with a neutral faces.

I know I needed to explain the situation.

So, I explained then everything except Tej's kidnapping and his powers.

I excused that he had an accident, and Tej was in a coma for these two years.

I know this lie is cruel, but I had to do it. So, they won't tell me to let Tej come here in front of them.

They understood and looked at me with pity.

" Don't worry, Mr. Smith. We understand your situation. Now, Avarnika and the children are going with you. Please take care of them. That child faced a lot. We can't tell you anything as it was her place to let you know. But she never took care of her meals and diet. She is stubborn too. So, please treat her like your little sister. " Uncle said, and we nodded.

" Don't worry, uncle. My brother will be there to take care of her and the children.

We have sisters too. So, we will take care of her with uttermost care.

You don't have to worry about them. " I explained.

" Mr. Smith, we know we can trust you. Your mother was an inspiration in our time. In India, there is no one who doesn't know about her and her achievement.

As we know you are her children, we know you are just like your mother and father.

God bless you all. " Uncle said, and we smiled sadly.

Mom and dad were always a sensitive topic for us, especially mom.

Every time someone called her name in front of us, we have reminded of the torture my mother went through in order to save us and how she was killed in front of us.

We can never forget that man.

I want to kill him with my bare hands.

I closed my eyes and said, " Uncle and Aunt, please call us by our name. I have to go for some work. So, I will come by dinner. Jay and Rudi will stay here. " I said, and they nodded happily.

I left and went straight to the hospital to finish my work as soon as possible.

When I was done, I realized it was 6 pm already.

Avarnika's shift must be over.

So, I decided to go to pick her up.

I left the hospital and sat in my car.

I drive to my destination.

When I reached, I saw Avarnika and a male who looked like a boss were talking with a smile.

That man was holding her hands, and then he started dragging her toward his car.

I decided to follow them to know their relationship.

They both sat and left for their destination, and I was following them.

That man stopped the car in front of a small restaurant.

After parking his car, they both entered the restaurant.

I parked my car too and entered.

I carefully sat beside their table. Luckily, Avarnika's back was on me where she sat. So, she didn't see me.

That man said after ordering their food.

" Avarnika, you were always punctual. You came to the office on time every day. Then what happened today? " He asked with concern.

Avarnika lowered her face and sighed.

That man touched her hand again and I formed a grip in anger.

This man is crossing his limits.

" Mr. Dewan, sorry, Gautam.

Look, I know I came late. It was actually- " Before she could say anything, that bastard cut her off.

" Forget about it. What have you decided about what we talk yesterday? " He asked and looked at her with hope.

Avarnika POV:-

I looked at him and said, " Gautam, I thought of you as my friend always. I know you like children and me too. But I am not the one for you.

Also, I found out about my children's father. "

I know I broke his heart. But I can't accept him after knowing my children's father.

" WHAT?? " He asked in disbelief.

He caught my hand in a tight grip and said, " Avarnika, why is it matter that you found out the children's father?

He never came for his children. He abandoned you alone with his children.

I... I love you!

Please Avarnika, please give me a chance. "

I closed my eyes and sighed in tiredness.

" He didn't abandon his children. I want to hear him out first before coming to any conclusion, Gautam.

You are my friend, and I don't want to lose you.

So, please try to understand.

I am going to Jaisalmer with the children as the children's uncle came to find us.

So, I won't be able to work here for some time.

You can send me my work via email. I will send you back the work on time. " I said, and he sighed.

" Alright! But you will call me every day and let me know everything is okay with you and the children.

Also, let me drop you home. I want to meet that man's brother. " He declared, and I nodded.

" There is no need for that. " I heard a familiar voice and was shocked.

I turned and saw Vihaan who looking at us with rage.

Why is he so mad?

How am I going to handle the tension between these men?
