Avery could already feel the stares of her classmates when she pulled in. Apparently having a newer car was just not common, she took note of this as she looked around the parking lot through the tinted windows.
Sure some the cars were nice, but a lot of them were hand me downs. Grabbing her shoulder bag, she braced herself and got out. She felt the stares shift to her and it made her want to crawl back into her car, but instead she walked towards the school. She kept her head high and her shoulders back to surround herself with an air of confidence she didn't have.
"Avery!" She stopped in her tracks when she heard Bella. Turning around, sure enough her cousin was walking towards her. "I'll show you to the office." She offered, still practically bleeding the awkwardness that came with her.
Avery nodded slowly. "Okay." She motioned for Bella to lead the way as the two continued to the entrance. The entire time, she could feel eyes burning a hole in the back of her skull.
Before she walked in, she took a peek back and sure enough, honey colored eyes that belonged to a beautiful, pixie like girl was staring straight at her. When their eyes connected, an image forced its way into Avery's mind. It was herself, but that wasn't what caught her attention. It was the man beside her.
He was beautiful beyond words. His hair was a mixture of honey and bronze, but his eyes were molten gold. Even his smile could cause angels to envy him.
Blinking away the image, she tore her gaze from the other girl's, quickly following her cousin. She would keep the encounter, if that's even what you could call it, a secret. She didn't want to be labeled as a freak on her first day.

"What did you see, Alice?" Jasper questioned his best friend in a quiet tone as soon as she came to.
A smile appeared on her beautiful face as she looked over at Jasper, and he could feel the excitement practically rolling off of her. "Nothing to worry about for now." Was the only answer she gave before she began to make her way inside. There was a bounce to her step as she walked.
She had seen Avery weeks ago arriving to Forks and just now, she had seen what could possibly be her future. A long, blissful life with the Cullens.
Just as she had seen with Bella, Avery too, would become involved with a male of the Cullen Clan.
Something did spark her interest about Avery. She couldn't see her clearly. It was as if some parts of the vision were blurred, like watching through smudged glasses.
"Just be sure to hold your breath during art." She whispered to the wind, and even though she was already halfway across the parking lot, Jasper still managed to hear it.
Fear slipped into his veins when she said this. Was he going to slip up? Jasper had always made sure not to breathe when at school, there were too many people mashed together. It was hard enough for him being so close to them, he didn't need to add the scent to his torture.
Emmett's large hand slapping him on the back seemed to snap him out of his anxieties. "No worries, you've done great so far. You've got this."
"Of course. He better." Rosalie half joked. "Otherwise, there will be some serious explaining needed." With that the blonde walked off, following her younger, adopted sister's lead. "Best behavior." She muttered.
"When do we not behave?" Emmett joked as he followed his wife. Jasper hesitated, the thought of just going home even crossing his mind before he finally follows behind his friends/adoptive siblings.
