***RAYNA POV*** My name is Rayna. everyone calls me Ray though. I am the next in line to be the alpha king "well Queen in this scenario at least if i don't find a mate". You see im what people consider a prodigy. I've had my wolf since i was 10 years old and since that day i have been training non-stop. I try to train in both human and wolf for before or after school. Right now im only 17 and ill be turning 18 this summer on August 09th during a full moon. Since my 18th birthday is still a month away i have yet to find a mate but my father hopes it's an Alphas son so i can have a strong mate. for me I just hope he's a warrior and a wolf that can beat me in a fight. "while im thinking about my future my mother text me" Mother: HEY! HONEY!! i need you to hurry up we need to go dress shopping for your birthday! where do you want to go?? Me: mom do we have to do it today? i just finished training! Mother: yes! if not today you will keep putting it off now hurry up and don't make me come up there... As I get ready I stop to look at myself. I have a light tan complexion, im about 5'6 and i have very long black straight hair that goes past my butt, im very well built but i don't have any muscles. My father says that my eyes remind him of early summer they are a beautiful peridot color. **** As I walk down stairs I see my favorite cook she's an older lady named Judy she's awesome and she's the head of our kitchen. Judy: oh hey darling. big day today? your mom has been freaking out she laughs me: yeah you know how she is. Im supposed to go dress shopping I just don't know if I want to. judy: you have always been such a tomboy. I chuckle at her response as my mother burst into the kitchen. mom: Come on i called the boutique and asked her to have some black dresses for you. LETS GOO!! Black is my favorite color so I'm glad my mom did that. As we walk outside i see our warriors training and wave good bye to them as I do this I almost walk into our betas son and my Best Friend in the whole world. "dang Ray you should look at where you're going" he looks down at me With a smirk "oh hush! Pete I was just saying bye" "Ray you shouldn't be distracting our warriors you might make them weak in the knees" he says with a smirk on his face " OMG Pete you're so annoying also they're like robots when they're training with my father" He laughs and agrees. Pete and I have been friends since I was born. Pete's dad is My father's beta and I'm sure Pete will be mine when the time comes for me to take over. Though I wish I had a mate when that time comes so I won't have to do it alone and I can just be a Luna. Pete and I have been training together so I know he'll be good and we have a great connection when fighting together. There was a time when we beat my dad and his dad together just because we wanted them to take us out to eat. They were pretty upset but proud and they said that we would make a great team. "RAY AND PETE GET IN THE CAR NOW!" MY mother yells at us. ***** After an hour and a half drive we FINALLY make it to the forsaken boutique. Our pack is basically in the middle of hundreds of acres our pack owns. Its surrounded by thick woods and high mountains with small roads. We try to make it so no humans have a reason to come to our woods and there aren't many roads leading to it. My pack The moon mountain is very hard to find so we use that to our advantage. As im dosing off I hear my mother yell at me and snaps me back she is holding a purple princess looking dress which i instantly reject. As I do so Pete lets out a laugh. I glare at him. Pete: Mrs.Alvaro you know she doesn't like that stuff why not just let her wear some jeans and a t-shirt. he dies laughing. mom: honestly at this point she might as well. Me: WAIT CAN I REALLY?!?! mom: HELL NO!! Ohh moon goddess! Why didn't you give me a daughter! Pete laughs to the point he is almost crying. As he does this I walk up to him and gut punch him. I turn to my mother. Me: mother I am a daughter. Lets just keep looking. Im sure ill find something i like. mom: ok. But please keep the violence to a minimum thank you So far we have looked at 10 dresses but none do it for me. The lady that runs the boutique asks me if there's any other color i like. I tell her I always liked the color red and black at that moment her eyes shine. she comes back with like 20 dresses. The first couple of dresses are all fluffy princess style so i say no to all. As I'm about to give up she brings one out that looks beautiful. It has no straps but it has a red diamond sweetheart neck line and it was long with black silk and red diamonds coming from the sweetheart line to the bottom of the dress. "THAT'S THE DRESS!!" My mother screams "FOR SURE!! You look good rain" Pete adds "yeah I think you guys are right this is the dress. I would like something to cover my arms it might be cold in the mountains" "how about a cute black furry coat so it can go with your dress" My mom asks My mom knows me so well. I told the lady that this was the dress I wanted. Like always she said the dress was expensive blah blah blah. what she doesn't know is that my father owns a multi million dollar company and many security firms, law firms and even built some hospitals and private schools. Though most of these places were made for werewolves humans sometimes get hired or put into the schools just to help us blend in. We pay for the dress and head home as we do this my mother starts asking me questions about my birthday and who I want to be there. "So who are you planning to invite to your birthday?" My mother asked "Molly of course she's been my best friend for like ever and hopefully she finds her mate with me that day" I respond overly cheerful "oh honey Ray you know sometimes finding a mate takes time. Me and your father didn't find each other till he was 26 and I was 23. He almost marked me the second he saw me" my mother laughs reminiscing about her memories with my father. "mom I don't need to know the details but thanks for that image" I say very annoyed. "Yeah Luna Alvaro We didn't need that" Pete says with a sad face as we drive back. ***** When we got to the pack I see my dad I run to him to tell him about my dress and everything. he asked me to go to his office so we can talk about which packs to invite to my birthday. I get along with all the Alphas that are near us even the ones that don't really get along with my father so we do have to sit down and make choices about who we want here and who we don't. If we decide to bring them all then how many people can they bring. I decide that me and my dad won't be able to do this alone so I bring my mom, Pete, I text molly and Pete's father Jason. We all go into my dad's office and it start's. Dad: How about we start with packs up north there's about 6. right now two are having troubles with rogues so they wont be able to come. I have sent back up to them so maybe it'll be taken care of by then. Mom: Well isn't one of them a pack of your cousins we should invite them just cause they are family. Dad: yeah you're right. How about the others Ray? Me: Well I don't mind if they come. Of course I want Alpha Jack, George and Tomas to be here they have helped train me so that's 3. And I don't mind Alphas Hulgo or Stephenson. But if they are having issues id Rather not have them away from their packs. That's makes 5. Who's the last one? Dad: Its the third strongest pack ran by Alpha Dan. He was here once remember he had the twins. Me: ohh yeah!! If they are the third largest then yeah 100% invite. Dad: Okay. How about to the west, South and East not many close by in those directions but there's the Second largest pack the one behind us. Mom: Oh yeah their Alpha just stepped down right? Dad: Yes Alpha Jona gave the Title to his 23 year old son. Xacary. Me. What!?! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT! but we should totally invite him first his the seconds Alpha and He is young he could be my mate. I hear my dad growl as i finished saying the word mate. I look at him and glare. He knows that i hope to find my mate then. Pete: Mr. Alvaro I think we all know that Ray is trying to find a mate as soon as possible so she doesn't have to take over and be an Alpha by herself. I can't blame her either we are a big pack with almost 2,100 people and then all the packs that are part of our kingdom I wouldn't want to run it by my self either. Jason: Pete!! Jason looks angry at how Pete talked but Pete isn't wrong. Dad: I know her intentions im just not ready to let my baby girl go. Me: Dad no matter what ill always be your baby girl. Let's just go ahead and invite all our packs that are close. With the ones that are far away let only invite the ones that aren't at war with each other and we are in good standing with. With that each pack should be able to bring 75 people each. Molly: Don't worry Alpha Ray isn't the only one that is looking for a mate. He could be my mate! Then again i don't want an Alpha as a mate i would like a strong warrior like my girl Ray and my boy Pete. Me: Maybe Molly is my mate. I laugh though no one seams amused by my joke. Dad: Honestly Id rather have Pete as your mate you guys fight well together and you two would make a great team. Me and Pete make eye contact and we look at each other in disgust. We are like brother and sister. "Ohh moon goddess I hope that is not your plan" me and Pete both pray. Jason: Yeah I thought they might not like that they grew up together almost like brother and sister haha Me: Well it seems like this is resolved so I'll be going first. BYE!
