She’s Beautiful

This summer has been the best summer so far. Feel like I’m actually starting to belong to my pack. After my parents died it was hell. Non stop fighting with anyone and everyone;it got worse after my sixteenth birthday. My wolf was very bitter and out of control. If it wasn’t for Crystal I would have never had learned how to control my temper the way I do.

My wolfs name is Beast; right now I’m not able to shift because that happens on our 18th birthday when we fully turn into a lycan. So you can say I’m your average teenage boy with a talking wolf in his head with raging hormones. What separates me from the rest of the guys besides Mikey and Lu is that I don’t act on my s****l needs no matter how temping it can be. I have my eye on a smart, sweet and innocent she-lycan, I just don’t know if she feels the same way.

I haven’t been able to get Crystal out of my head. She’s everything anyone could ask for. She’s smart, sweet, down to earth, and shes just overall a beautiful person inside and out. There’s no evil bone in her body unless you really piss her off then your screwed. I mean have you guys ever seen a pissed off 5’2 Latina she-Lycan?! I have and let me say she’s a little ball of pure fury but it’s the most adorable thing in the world.

“What’s up man what you looking at?”

“Nothin.”

“Mmmhm your full of it AJ. So have you talked to Crystal yet?”

“Talk to her about what?”

“You know what!”

“Shut up Mikey. I don’t know what your talking about.”

“Look all I’m saying is you better make your move before someone else beats you to it. And it looks like pretty boy over there is moving in fast.”

I see my sweet girl standing by her locker grabbing her books when Jereme walks up to her. Seeing him talking to her makes my blood boil. Without a second thought I start walking over to them when I see Lu walking towards him there ready to fight.

Beast: What the hell does he want with her?

Me: I don’t know

Beast: He’s too f*****g close to her and she looks uncomfortable can we kill him!

Me: No we can’t. You know she doesn’t like us losing our temper like that.

Beast: Ugh fine but it wasn’t for her, he would of been dead the moment he looked at her!

Beast disconnects himself when he doesn’t get his way. But I prefer that over him taking over and me killing people. I’ve came too close to it and my sunshine doesn’t like it when I get that way. It takes everything in me not to react on instinct when I hear Mikey gritting out words through his teeth.

“What do you want Hayes?!” Mikey says pissed.

“What’s up Stalynski.” Jereme says smirking

“I said what do you want”

“What can’t I have a conversation?” Jereme say’s cockily

“Not with her!” Mikey says sternly

“Back off Haynes! I mean it” I say pissed off grabbing Crystal by her waist.

“Hey what’s up Hendrix. I almost didn’t see you there. I think Diana is looking for you.” Jereme retorted

She slammed her locker! She’s never slammed her locker before. The look she gave me was filled with anger and hurt.

Mikey chases after Crystal and I end up punching the locker right next to Jereme’s face startling him a little. How dare he say that in front of her.

Beast: Can we kill him now?

Me: No Beast. We need to calm her down first and then see what happens.

Beast: But did you see how she looked at us and it’s his fault. He wants her for s*x you can f*****g smell it.

Me: I SAID NO!

Beast: If he f*****g hurts her AJ I will rip him into pieces!

I walk to class trying to link her and she’s not letting me connect. She basically ignores me all day. I don’t understand what I did. I don’t even like Diana. I need to be extremely drunk and into the next century to hook up with her.

Lunch rolls around and I’m excited to see my sunshine even though she’s mad at me. I don’t know what Mikey and Lu did but it worked and she shot me a little smile when she saw me.

We all sit eating our food and she non stop smiling and laughing. I love seeing her this way. Theres something different about her. It’s like she’s opening up a little more and is enjoying being out of her bubble. It’s like she’s embracing yourself without realizing it. I’m so deep in thought when I feel arms wrap around me and at georgous smile of hers is gone.

“Hey boys”

“What do you want Diana?” Alice says annoyed

“Hey Alice. Have you been able to get the back flips down yet?” Diana says in a bitchy tone

“Don’t worry about me just try not to break your nose on the field again!” Alice retorts

We all start laughing at the words that come out of Alice’s mouth because what she said is true. Last year Diana was trying to do a trick at one of the football games and ended up falling flat on her face breaking her nose. There was blood everywhere it was hilarious.

“Hey baby why don’t you go dance with me.” Diana tells leaning into my ear

“First of all I’m not your baby. Second of all I’m not interested Diana.”

“Awww come on it’s just one dance. You know you want too” she says in a seductive tone.

I didn’t realize that her w***e friends where at our table until I heard them speak.

“Yea come on Lu why don’t you come dance too I’ll show you a couple of my moves” Monica says intently.

I completely ignore her and just look at my bundle of sunshine laughing. What is she laughing at? It was like she read my mind!

“What the hell you laughing at Gonzalez?” Diana said in her usual b***h tone

“The fact the three of you are here basically on your knees begging for attention when clearly they aren’t falling for you w****s!” Crystal retorts

Did she actually say that out loud? By the look on everyone’s face including her own she did. Who is this girl and when did she get a mouth like that?

Beast: DUDE!

Me: I know!

Beast: DUDE!!!!!!

Me: I know man!!!

Beast: I think I’m in love!

Me: Who would of known she had a smart a*s sense of humor.

Beast: I like them feisty

Me: Get your head out of the gutter asshole.

Beast: At least I’m not the one showing my b***r off.

Beast is right. Seeing her go off the way she did made me hard. I trying my best to hide it when this stupid w***e lunges for my little feisty bundle of sunshine.

My instincts kick into gear and hold her back. Crystal is not only my best friend but also my queen and no harm shall come to her while I’m here. As I’m holding back Diana, Mikey, Lu and Alice take their stance and shield Crystal but knowing her she had to get the last word in.

I like seeing her put people in their place. If only others knew who she really was then maybe her life would be a little easier. But Beta Lucas is right we need to keep her safe especially after what happened. Without her we would be completely lost without any way of finding our way back.

It’s been a great day overall. I mean how could it not be; my sunshine finally found her voice and she looked really hot doing it. I can’t wait to go home and unwind. Plus I’m starving after practice.

“Come on AJ, you gotta admit David calling Crystal hot is pretty funny”

“No it wasn’t. I heard this girl was hot and apparently she’s got…”

We all burst out laughing at this point and my sweet sunshine is just sinking down in her chair with her face as red as a tomato as we sit at the dinner table.

“What did she have that you like Saul” Lu says laughing

“Yea Dave say it.” Mikey says on the floor laughing.

“Guys come in stop. It’s not that funny.” Crystal states

“Princess would you like to explain what’s soo funny.” Beat Lucas says sternly looking at her.

“I’m sorry uncle Lucas. There was a girl at school and she started to make AJ uncomfortable and he asked her to leave and then her evil minions came and started to make Lu and Mikey uncomfortable and they weren’t leaving after they asked them nicely so I told them to leave and then this one girl named Diana which basically on her knees begging for AJ to give her attention decided to lounge at me and luckily AJ caught her because it not we would of ended up fighting with blood drawn and it wouldn’t of been mine.” She says completely out of breath.

“Oh my god it was you! Gross your not hot. Sorry sis but you look like dad.” Saul tells her.

The look on Beta Lucas face was confusing he was impressed but also worried about her getting hurt. Gamma Xavier’s face on the other hand was filled with proudness; he was smiling cheek to cheek. Well that was until she asked about going to a party.

I have never seen Gamma Xavier so upset. He’s never yelled at her before and especially like that. It’s just a party what’s the big deal we go all the time and so does Alice. But how did she find out about the party first?

I can see the hurt in her eyes. All she wants is to be normal. She politely excuses herself to go do some pack paperwork. Crystal has always been one to bury herself in chores or in some type of work to keep herself from thinking. She hates people seeing her this way; she has never been one to cry in front of others no matter how painful it can be. But I’v seen her fall apart. Iv heard her cry and it breaks me every time. How can someone be so cruel to hurt such a beautiful sweet person.

After dinner the guys and I go to Lu’s room to play some video games since it doesn’t look like any of us are going to that party. Mikey and I are in the middle of playing Call of Duty when the door hurts open and there’s a very excited little munchkin standing there with the biggest smile on her face.

“We can go! My tio Xavier said we can go!!”

“Where exactly are we going little one?”

“To the party! My tio said we can go. Please can we go.” She pleads sitting next to Lu giving her puppy eyes.

Of course Lu agreed to go to the party; if you saw her puppy face you wouldn’t say no either. We all get dressed and head to the party quietly so her grandma doesn’t hear us. Grandma is a old school traditional Mexican grandmother. She might be human and way shorter than all of us but do not underestimate that woman. She does not play when she says no. You will see slippers fly across the room and come back just like a boomerang.

We were able to sneak out the house quietly after promising Beta Lucas and Gamma Xavier that we would take care of her. We are all in such a great mood until Mikey started interrogated Crystal. Don’t get me wrong I jumped in a couple of times but I already had my suspicion on who invited her and I’m not too happy about it.

We reach the beach party and it’s already in full swing. There people talking, drinking, swimming and dancing.

“s**t! Hey AJ you got some rubbers?”

“Seriously Mikey. I thought you were abstinent?!”

“Yea I know but you never know it better to be safe than sorry.”

“Fine here. But if she finds out it’s your a*s”

“Thanks man”

I can’t believe he asked me for condoms but at least he’s going to be careful so I guess that’s ok. So much for not giving in to temptation my a*s, I think to myself.

“I’m gonna go get us a drink. Don’t take a drink from anyone ok sunshine.”

“I’m not five and I’m pretty sure I can handle a drink or two.” She says lifting her eyebrow with her hands folded in front of her chest.

She is so stubborn and why does she have to look so cute doing it. Why can’t she just say ok.

“I mean it Sunshine. No drinks ok”

“Ugh fine. Your no fun” she says rolling her eyes.

She’s really going to be the death of me one day.

“So when you gonna ask her out?”

“Not this s**t again Mikey”

“What you guys talking about?”

“About when AJ here will growing a pair and ask our little princess out.” Mikey says putting his arm over my shoulder while I’m trying to serve myself a beer

“Really. I never noticed.” Lu says smirking

“Are you blind Lu. You can see it all over his face. She turns him into a big puppy”

“He’s being sarcastic dumbass and I don’t turn into a puppy.” I retorted

“Bullshit man” Lu says.

These guys love to bust my balls about her but she does the same exact thing to them. They turn into the biggest softies in the world when she’s around. We stand around the keg laughing and bullshitting around completely forgetting about the girls. I look over to see her talking to Alice. You can see it in her face she’s having a blast. We make eye contact for a second and the smile I love so much grew. I couldn’t help myself but I had to mind link her.

Me: Hey I’m sorry I forgot to take you your drink.

Crystal: It’s ok. I’ll forgive you this time

Me: Oh really.

Crystal: Mmm hm

Me: Would you still like me to take you a drink?

Crystal: No I’m ok. One of us has to sober in order to drive us home.

Me: Who said anything about you driving. You can’t even reach the pedals

With that she sticks out her tongue and middle finger at me. I go back to talking to the guys with a big grin on my face that I try to hide. We start talking about cars when Diana comes over with her friends. Like really can’t they take a hint. We end up walking away from the girls and when I looked over to check on my sunshine she was gone and Alice was in a corner with some of the girls from the POMS team. Where the hell is she?

“Hey you guys here that?” Lu says

“Yea it looks like it’s coming from over there. Let’s go see there might be a fight.” Mikey said excitedly. He loves fights since he knows he can easily win against others.

WHAT THE HELL!!!! What is she doing here with all these guys around her and why the hell is this dumbass yelling at her!!! Before I can react Lu jumps in with me right behind him.

“Get away from her Bronx!” Lu growls

“Well well well look who it is defending his s**t!”

“Say one more word and I’ll knock your f*****g teeth out.” Lu warns

“What did you do to her Bronx?” Mikey says hiding her behind him.

“Nothing. Stupid s**t can’t even speak!”

How f*****g dare he speak like that about her! I feel beast coming to the surface.

Me: Let me at him Lu!

Lu: No AJ. You will kill him and you know she’s sensitive to that.

Me: Do you not see how she is right now because of him!

Lu: STAND DOWN. Do it for her AJ

That’s when I hear her speak and it sent shivers down my body. She was calm but angry. You feel her power, her dominance. All of us couldn’t help but bow our heads.

“First of all I’m not stupid, second of all I’m not a s**t. I have no idea who the hell you are and at this point I don’t care. The fact that you know me means that you exactly what I’m capable of! So tread very lightly. I bow down to NO BODY especially a drunk asshole like yourself. Now get the hell away from me before I regret letting you walk away.”

Thats my girl putting him in his place. Bronx needs to calm the f**k down. He might of left the pack but he can’t continue to blame her for their deaths. We all lost someone that day not just him. Plus she has no idea who he is. That is until he gave her a hint.

My poor sunshine is always trying to help those who lost someone because of her, even when they don’t deserve it. He’s f*****g pathetic. She went to apologize for who she is and he has the nerve to push her and look at her with disgust. f**k what Lu said what my sunshine doesn’t know won’t hurt her.

I’m paying close attention to Bronx’s actions and to his every movement when I see Jeremy grab my sunshine and call her his date. I couldn’t help myself. I yelled at her. Iv been bottling up my anger and I let some of it out in her. I walk away going to grab a beer because at this point I’m too sober to deal with this s**t. She wants to go out with a d**k wad fine we don’t need her.

I’m talking to a couple of guys what seemed like forever and I must be pretty drunk because Diana is touching my hair and I’m not bitching at her for it. It feels nice the way she touches me. I see Lu come out of the woods carrying her and she’s dripping wet. Just looking at her makes my d**k twitch. And watching her take her wet shorts off is so hot but she looks way hotter with my shirt on.

Wait why is she taking her shorts off and why is putting my shirt on? Aw my poor sunshine got chub rub. I wouldn’t mind spreading those legs open and giving them kisses to make them feel better.

I see them walking over to play some beer pong so I decided to join them. She just has to be a good person doesn’t she. Like why does she have to invite Jereme? We are perfectly fine without him. We play about 2 games of beer pong but she never took a drink. Every drink she had to do, she handed it to Jereme and he was starting to get tipsy.

To be completely honest I didn’t mind playing beer pong with them. I was able to hear my sunshine sing her heart out to Party In The USA and beat Lu and I at beer pong. After the games she excuses herself to get a drink but she was talking a little too long for my liking. I look over by the drinks and she isn’t there so I start to walk around to look for her. I start asking around but it doesn’t seem like anyone has seen her. How does a person just disappear like that? Something’s not right.

“Hey gave you guys seen Crystal?”

“No man sorry” a group of freshman say

“Hey have you guys seen Crystal?” I ask Alice’s poms friends

“No sorry AJ”

“It’s ok thanks for your help”

Where is she.

Beast:You feel that?

Me: Yea. What is it?

Beast: I don’t know but be prepared for the worst.

Me: Wait is that Bronx and Crystal? Who are they carrying?

I see her coming out the woods and I see it in her face something’s wrong. Who is that she’s helping? I see Bronx take the guy they are carrying to where the cars are and I see her look away and jet towards Mikey. I see her dripping blood but it doesn’t seem like it’s all hers. I run towards and I can hear her heart beat pounding.

“I need you to get David out of here!” I hear her telling Mikey

“Hey guys what’s going on? Hey what happened why are you bleeding!”

“It’s not mine. Wait maybe it is. Dam asshole probably scratched me. AJ listen to me. Get Alice and David and go home now! It’s not safe!”

“Sunshine what are you talking about?”

“I’m running out of time get Alice and my brother and go.” She says in her alpha voice

“But why?” Mikey asks confused and worried

“I SAID NOW AJ!” She scolds me

There’s fear in her eyes. She’s never been one to use her Alpha Queen voice especially on us. Something is wrong something is very wrong. I bow my head in respect to my queen and jet towards Alice.

“ALICE GRAB YOUR STUFF WE GOTTA GO NOW!” I say pulling her away from her group of friends

“ Ouch AJ your hurting me. Where are we going?”

“ Where’s David!”

“With Dillon and what’s his name. Dude with curly hair”

“I see him let’s go!” I say dragging her

“David let’s go now!”

“What why?”

“What is this 20 million question day. Grab your s**t and let’s go. NOW “

“No. I’m having fun.”

“ Look I’m not in the mood. Crystal said to get you guys and to go home!”

“I’m not leaving without my sister.” David says worries

“We will see her at home. Come on. I have orders Dave”

I hate leaving without her and I know David does too. We run to Mikey’s truck when I see them. I can’t believe I didn’t notice them before.

“What do you see AJ” Alice asks me

“Vampires!”

“Where?” David asked worries

“Stay on my a*s do you understand.”

As soon as those words left my mouth I see a vampire charging at Alice. I intercept the hit that was meant for Alice and throw the blood sucker into the water.

“RUN” Is all that was able to come out of my mouth.

The three of us make it to the truck and lock the doors. I turn the truck on and put it into drive and speed off. We see a vampire chasing the truck and they ended up hoping on the hood. Alice is screaming her lungs out and David is in the seat freaking the hell out. How the f**k am I suppose to drive and fight a vampire? It’s like Mikey heard me because next thing I knew, Mikey came flying threw with Lu by his side. We see them rip the vampire apart with a wolf carrying the parts to the bon fire.

We are speeding home when Alice’s phone scares the crap out of us when it started ringing.

“Hello”

“Sweet heart where are you”

“Daddy! Daddy there’s vampires a lot of them and and and one tried hurting me,”

“Sweet heart where are you! Where is your brother?” Alice stays silent for a minute and looks at me and lowers her head

“He stood behind. He stood behind with Lu and”

“And who Alice” Gamma Xavier is almost screaming on the phone by now

“Crystal. He stood behind with Lu and Crystal to help the others. Crystal had AJ get Saul and I to safety.”

“Listen to me Alice. Come straight home you hear me. Don’t stop for anything you hear me son!”

“Yes sir” I say calmly even though I’m shitting bricks inside.

With that the call ends. After 30 minutes of driving we make it home in one piece and the security is doubled. I pull up with Mikey’s truck and the wife’s of Gamma Xavier and Beta Lucas come out asking about Mikey, Lu and Crystal. I look at the ground because I can’t look at them and answer that question. They are extremely worried especially since non of them fought a full on vampire.

Everyone is on edge. We are trying to mind link and everyone is cut off. No body is answering which is concerning. After an hour we haven’t heard anything. I really hope every one is ok.

I walk to my room to shower. I need to be alone. I turn on the cold shower and drown myself in water cloths and all. I need to stop thinking.

Beast: She will come back

Me: You don’t know that. One of those assholes almost took out Alice. Imagine Crystal. She’s smaller then Alice

Beast: But she’s stronger and faster than Alice. Watch, she’ll come home. You just wait

Me: I really hope your right because I can’t be without her. I should of stayed with them to fight. I’m a coward!

Beast: Do you honestly think she would of let you fight? Look don’t worry she’ll be ok

Maybe beast is right. She’s strong and can hold her own but I can’t help but worry. I swear if someone touches a hair on her head I will kill then if they aren’t already dead.
