The Party

Omg I can’t believe that I’m on my way to a party right now. I’m so excited but this is a little nerve racking. Hopefully I’m dressed ok for it; I mean it’s a beach party so of course I have a swimsuit on but still, what if inviting me to this party was party of a ugly prank.

“Hey what’s wrong little one? What’s going on in that head of yours?”

“Huh?”

“What wrong why are you so serious. You were just smiling 5 minutes ago.”

“It’s nothing Mikey.”

“Right. That’s very convincing.” He says looking at me with his I don’t believe you look.

“Fine don’t tell me but I do want to know how you found out about this party since you found out before any of us and we always find out about these things first”

“Yea how did you find out this party princess?” Lu says from the back seat

“Ummmm”

“Who invited you little one. It’s ok I won’t be mad”

“Yea right. I bet the moment I say the name you would kill him”

“So it a guy! Was it Jereme?!”

“Idk. I’m not a snitch. You know what they say about snitches” I say smiling.

“Omg he totally has a thing for you Crystal. Jereme and Crystal sitting in a tree KISSING” Alice says excitedly.

“Your lucky I love you little one”

“Love you too Mikey”

We blast the music on our way to the party and I feel my hands getting all clammy so I wipe them on my shorts. I can tell we are close by because we crossed the boarder five minutes ago and I’m able to see the lights in the distance.

Mikey pulls up to the beach where the party is and it looks amazing. The lights, the music; this is what I’ve been missing out on.

“Don’t worry little one your going to have two more years of this”

“You ready princess?”

“Yea. Do I look ok?”

“You look perfect. Come here.”

I’m pulled into Lu’s broad chest before we start heading into the party scene. There are so many people here. Some of them I know but some of them I don’t. The guys go get Alice and I a drink when I feel arms wrap around my waist and begin to spin me around.

“Ok ok you can put me down. I love you too” I say giggling not realizing who picked me up.

“You love me already and I haven’t even done anything yet pumpkin”

“Ooh um hi Jereme. Sorry I thought you were someone else”

“I knew you thing for me. It’s ok no need to hide it” He says in his cocky tone like usual.

“I’m going to go over there” Alice says as quickly as possible walking away from the tension that has grown.

“Why exactly should I have a thing you? I barely know you! Plus after that stunt at school why should I even trust you? Look I don’t know what game your trying to play but I’m not interested.” I say angrily.

As I’m walking away he pulls me back to face him and I feel my face burning red. His touch is soft and I can see that he’s fighting something inside but I’m not able to tell what it is.

“Look I’m really sorry. Please don’t walk away from me I just wanted to talk.”

“Look Jereme I’m sorry but I can’t give you what your looking for.”

“How do you know what I’m looking for exactly?”

“You have a reputation and I’ve seen the type of girls you go for and I’m the complete opposite of that.”

“So you think I want you for s*x? Do you really think that low of me. Out of all the people here I thought you would be the last person to judge someone Crystal. You know what forget it. See you around.”

“Hey wait. I’m sorry I didn’t mean too. That came out wrong. Your right, I should be the last person to judge someone. So please ask me what you were going to”

NO WAY!!!! Did the playboy just ask me out??? I must of been speechless for a minute or so because he’s waving his hand in my face to snap me out of a trans.

“The better question is are you ready to lose your life for me being your date” I say sarcastically

“I think I can handle it.”

“Ok don’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s your funeral.”

“Mmm hmmmm. So I’m been told by many. But very few have the privilege to deal with it”

With that he wraps his hand around my waist and walks me towards a group of guys that look familiar but then some of them I have never seen before.

“Hey guys this is Crystal. Crystal these are the guys. This is Omar the beta of the the Wood Wind Pack, this here is Rob the gamma and this …..”

“I would tread lightly. Just because we are family doesn’t mean I tolerate disrespect.” a blond boy says

“Don’t mind him he’s not as bad as he seems. Blonde here is Alpha Derek also known as my cousin.”

These guys aren’t bad yea they look a little scary but I’ve seen scarier plus I can kill them easily if I wanted too. They start asking me questions trying to get to know be better and they are also questioning how many functioning brain cells I have since I’m with Jereme.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!” A very pissed off voice says

“Bronx?!? What’s wrong man?” Rob asks

“She’s what’s wrong! What are you doing here? Don’t you know your not welcomed!!!!”

“Dude chill. By the look on her face I don’t think she knows you.” Rob comes to my defense

“Trust me she does. I’m not asking again. What’s wrong is sucking their d***s for so long f**k up your ability to speak!!”

“Get away from her Bronx!” Lu comes out of no where

“Well well well look who it is defending his s**t!”

“Say one more word and I’ll knock your f*****g teeth out.”

“Little one you ok? Little one look at me”

“What did you do to her Bronx?”

“Nothing. Stupid s**t can’t even speak!”

I move from behind Mikey and come face to face with this asshole.

“First of all I’m not stupid second of all I’m not a s**t. I have no idea who the hell you are and at this point I don’t care. The fact that you know me means that you exactly what I’m capable of! So tread very lightly. I bow down to NO BODY especially a drunk asshole like yourself. Now get the hell away from me before I regret letting you walk away.”

Bronx walks towards me slowly with a smirk on his face and whispers into my ear.

“Let’s get something straight princess your the reason why their dead. You took them from me and that is something I can never forgive you for. So if I were you I would sleep with one eye open!”

It clicks it finally clicks. He was one of us. That’s why he’s angry his family is dead! I see him walking away with a red solo cup in hand I run to him giving him a hug telling him I’m very sorry. He pushes me off and looks at me with disgust. There were rumors of pack members leaving because my uncles wouldn’t let them kill me. So many of my ex-pack members want me dead and I don’t blame them. That’s why my uncles never let me leave the house by myself.

I’m walking back to the group and everyone is either confused or pissed. I just want to go home I don’t want to be here anymore. Im nothing but trouble.

“What were you doing over here little one?”

“Didn’t we tell you to stay at the spot where we left you?”

“Hey don’t talk to my date that way. You ok pumpkin? What was Bronx ranting about?”

“PUMPKIN!?!?” Mikey look’s unamused

“DATE!?!?” AJ screams out

“This is a joke right. Tell me this a joke!” Lu says even more pissed off.

“Yes she’s my date right pumpkin”

“Crystal?!? Is that true” AJ says irritated a*s hell

I have no words to explain how I feel right now. I’m hurt and angry and upset. I can’t handle anymore arguing.

“Pumpkin you ok? You look a little pale”

“Yea I’m fine. I need to go for a swim. And stop calling me pumpkin! Do I look like a pumpkin to you.”

“Come on guys we need to have a little talk with Bronx!” Lu says walking away

“No you won’t.”

“WHAT?!?!!!”

“Let him be. He has every reason to be upset. He use to be one of us and you know what they say once a blood moon always a blood.”

I’m walking off and I get a mind link from

Lu:He can’t tell people who you are princess.

Me: I know but beating him doesn’t make the situation any better. If you beat him then people will think he was right. If we let him be people will think he’s just crazy even though he isn’t.

Lu: Fine but you and me gotta talk!

Me: Ok.

Lu: Meet me in the woods in 30 minutes. Go for a small swim I know you need it

I start to strip off my short and my shirt forgetting where I was at the moment. All I can focus on is the water and wanting to swim like if my life depended on it. I can see guys out of the corner of my eye gawking at me not to mention the smell or their arousal was also in the air. The females on the other hand hated the fact that I the shy goodie two shoes at school was getting all the attention.

The water feels so nice on my skin. I swam as far as I could until the party lights looked like stars. I could finally breath. I don’t like knowing that their still people hurting because of who I am.

Artemis: Hey you feel that?

Me: Yea I do. Something doesn’t feel right.

Artemis: Something’s coming but I can really tell from where.

Me: I think it’s coming from the north side of the territory by the woods. Oh No Lu!

Artemis: I think it’s also in the water we gotta get out of here!!!

I swim back to the party as fast as I could putting on my shorts and flip flops. My legs are covered in sand from how fast I’m walking. I reach the woods and I don’t see him.

“Lu! Lu where are you!”

Fuck he isn’t answering me

“LUCAS I SWEAR TO THE GODDESS HER SELF I’LL RAISE HELL IF YOUR DEAD! AND IF THIS IS A PRANK I’M GOING TO MAKE YOU WISH YOU WHERE DEAD!”

“BOO!” Lu says scaring me from behind.

“What the f**k Lu! You scared the s**t out of me! That wasn’t funny. I thought something bad happened”

“Sorry princess didn’t mean to scare you that bad.”

“It’s fine.”

“Hey what’s wrong?! Did Jereme do something? Did he touch you. I’m going to kill him”

“You can’t just kill the guy without a valid reason especially when he hasn’t done anything.”

“Then what has you so jumpy”

“I don’t know. I have a bad feeling about the woods and Artemis felt something in the water. Can we please get out of here Lu please.”

“First we gotta talk”

“Fine but hurry. I don’t like the feeling I get here”

“Why did you agree to be Jereme’s date? Are you two dating now?”

“I felt bad telling him no. I made assumptions based off rumors and besides everyone deserves a shot right. And no we aren’t dating.”

“Mmmhm. Just tell your little boyfriend to keep his hands to himself and we won’t have a problem!”

“Oh my god Lu he’s not my boyfriend plus he’s not my type.”

“And what is your type exactly princess?”

“Surely not assholes or womanizers that’s for sure.”

“That’s my girl. Come on let’s get back to the party before people start asking where we are.” Lu says winking at me.

“Ok but your giving me a piggy back ride because these shorts are starting to give me cub rub.”

Lu laughs at me and let’s me hop on his back. We start talking about sports and what we should do over the weekend. We walk out of the woods together still enjoying our conversation when Lu comes to a complete and tenses up.

“Hey pumpkin I’ve been looking for you. Why were you in the woods? And why are you on his back?” Jereme says pissed off

“Heyyy Jereme. I ummmm went for a swim and then went for a walk. Lu went to go find me when I didn’t come back. Hey Lu do you think AJ would mind if I take his shirt I forgot my dress and my shorts are wet and uncomfortable.”

“Yea princess that’s fine if not you can use mine come on I’ll take you so you don’t have to walk.”

“Umm hello. I’m standing right here Crystal”

“I’ll be back in a sec Jereme.”

The testosterone in the air is insane. Lu walks away from Jereme giving him a shove and with a big a*s smirk on his face. I laugh and shake my head. If I had to choose between Jereme and the guys I would choose the guys any day.

After changing into AJ’s shirt we go play beer pong with the rest of the group. I see Jereme sitting by himself so I ask him he wants to play. It took a little convincing but he agreed. Since I don’t drink I just threw the ping pong balls and Jereme did the drinking. It was Jereme and I vs. Mikey and Lu.

I was on a roll until I had to get the side cups. Those suckers were hard. Jereme and I ended up losing but I wanted a rematch and since they can’t say no to me it wasn’t very hard to convince them. More people crowed around to watch us.

We start playing this time and let the guys go first. I start analyzing the cups and work a plan out in my head. I’m in my zone not realizing that I start humming to Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus. Little by little I start to sing and dance along to it not giving a care in the world.

I come the realization of what I’m doing when the DJ stops the music and I hear my own voice.

“Keep going” AJ says with a big smile on his face.

I’m speechless absolutely speechless. My face is bright red and I’m completely frozen. I look at Alice and she smiles giving me the ok. Taking a deep breath I begin.

“So I put my hands up. They’re playing my song, the butterflies fly away. I’m nodding my head like yea, movin my hips like yea.”

Everyone is cheering me on. Alice come next to me and starts doing the same moves as me so we dance in sync.

“I can’t believe I just did that.” I say out of breath

“Who knew you had some pipes on you sis”

Alice says hugging me.

“Hey Lu, watch this! It’s gonna be nothing but net” I say

I shoot the ping ball ball and sure enough it’s nothing but net.

“Now chug!” I say hanging Lu the solo cup.

We all start laughing and goofing off after that. I keep getting this off type of feeling. I can’t pin point what it is. I play it off looking around but I don’t see anything off.

I excuse myself to get a drink and what the hell is that smell. It’s not close enough for others to smell but because I’m a royal my senses are stronger than the rest. The smell is coming from the woods.

I discreetly walk over to my bag to get my shoes and to put on my very uncomfortable shorts.

Using my speed I run into the woods not making a scene. I have my nose guide me through the woods until it fades away.

“Your dead for that you blood sucking demon”

“Bring it dog”

What the hell is that Bronx. Oh my god that’s a vampire and he looks very unhappy. Wait who is that on the floor? I see Bronx going back and forth with this vampire. But he’s losing. If I don’t step in he will die but if I step in he will hate me even more. Ugh what do I do?

“Ready to beg for your life dog?”

Shit!!! He’s has pinned and are those fangs?!?! Those things are huge! Screw it; he will hate me even more. I’ve never fought a vampire before but there’s always a first for everything. I run tackling the vampire making him get off a Bronx. We roll on the floor a little then I end up stoping myself with my claws out.

“You ok?” I ask Bronx looking back

“Well well we’ll look at who we have here. You look like fun.” This red eyed vampire says menacingly

“Look asshole I don’t know who you are but your on the wrong territory. Now beat it before you get hurt!”

“Tisk tisk tisk. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth.” He says

Me: Bronx who is that on the floor?

Me: Bronx f*****g answer me now. That’s an order.

…..

“I said now Bronx!” I say letting out a growl

Bronx: He was my friend

Me: I’m sorry about him Bronx. Look get out of here I can handle him. Go!

Bronx: Hahaha yea right this is my fight not yours

Artemis: We can save him. He has a weak pulse but he’s savable.

It’s like this blood sucker read my thoughts and darted for the almost lifeless wolf. I was able to get to the asshole first throwing him as far as I could.

Artemis: Cut your palm and put it over his bite mark on his neck and hum. It’s going to burn after the burning stops give it a gentle kiss.

“What are you doing. He’s dead!” Bronx starts yelling at me

“No he’s not. I can save him.”

“Awwww look at the little pathetic witch saving her friend. He’s right he’s dead. And you two are next!”

Me: I know you don’t trust me but your friend isn’t dead. I can save him but I need you to keep this blood sucker away from us. Got it!

Bronx: You don’t give me orders princess.

Me: Look asshole don’t do it for me do it for your friend. His death won’t be on my hands it would be on yours since you let him DIE!

Bronx: Fine but do it fast I don’t know how long I can hold him off for

I cut my palm and I felt a gust of wind him me. I looked up and I saw those red eyes glow bright red blood red to be exact. He was hungry and I was his meal.

He lungs for me and Bronx jumps in front throwing him off. I put my hand over the woods neck feeling the burning sensation instantly. He starts howling in pain.

“Hey it’s ok. I know this hurts and I’m really sorry but I need you to breath with me ok. Close your eyes and just breath I’ll do the rest.”

He does what he’s told and closes his eyes. I start humming and the burning increase every second. I look at Bronx getting tossed around like a rag doll. I need to hurry if not we will all be dead. After a couple of minutes the burning stops and his breathing starts to normalize. I close my eyes and lean over to kiss where my blood is on his fur. When I open my eyes I see a n***d brown haired boy with brown eyes. He looks at me with curiosity. Realizing he’s n***d I look up at Bronx who is dripping blood.

I take take off AJs shirt giving it to the brown haired boy to cover his man hood. I walk towards the blood sucker giving him a good punch to the face knocking him to the floor. I sit on top of him using all my weight to giving him a couple of good hits. Once I see he’s semi weak I drag him over to Bronx.

“FINISH HIM”

Bronx shifts to a grey wolf and tears the blood sucker apart. We walk it back to his friend so we can head back to the rest of the group.

“Who are you” the brown hair boy asks me barely able to speak

“I’m a no body who saw you in pain.”

“Thank you for saving my friend and I”

“It’s not a big deal. Come on you need to get home. Bronx get him out of here. I’ll go let Derek know”

“How many times do I have to tell you I don’t take orders from a s**t!” Bronx spits out at me

“Fine but I’m not saving your a*s again”

“I had it”

“Right! That’s why you were going to let your friend die and let that blood sucker drain you. You forgot who you are and where your from. You forgot how to fight like a Lycan. You were going to die without my help!” I yell at him

“Why don’t you shut the f**k up! I had it under control.”

“Right and I didn’t just save your friend.”

“Ummm guys not to dance and your guys parade but I have a huge headache and don’t feel good” the brown haired boy says

“Bronx please take him home he needs the pack doctor.”

“Come on man let’s go” the brown haired boy says.

We walk out of the woods together. I let Bronx take his friend while I scan the area. There’s so many of them and they are all by the humans and drunk werewolves. I look for my brother and I can’t seem to find him but I find Mikey instead.

“Mikey where is David!”

“Hey little one you having fun. Wait hey what’s wrong?”

“I need you to get David out of here!”

“Hey guys what’s going on? Hey what happened why are you bleeding!”

“It’s not mine. Wait maybe it is. Dam asshole probably scratched me. AJ listen to me. Get Alice and David and go home now! It’s not safe!”

“Sunshine what are you talking about?”

“I’m running out of time get Alice and my brother and go.” I tell him sternly

“But why?” Mikey asks confused

“I SAID NOW AJ!”

With that he runs off to get Alice and my brother. I spot Derek and run towards him like a mad man

“I need to talk to you.”

Did he seriously just ignore me! I think to myself. I get in his face and give him a piece of my mind.

“Look I don’t have time for your stupidity. I need to talk to you now!”

“Did you just call me stupid!” He says pissed off.

“No I call your actions stupid. But I need you to close the borders!”

“Why should I listen to a s**t”

“Look we don’t have time to argue but you need to trust me. Lock the borders down now before it’s too late.”

“NO” he says sternly

Ugh fine I’ll get him to go it through kind link.

Me: Ladies and Gentlemen this is the royal blood moon queen I need you all too leave the premises immediately and lock the borders. There is a threat among us. We need to keep each other safe and keep the humans out of any harm.

My heart dropped into my stomach and I knew I was too late and so did he. He looked at me with concern but played off as a alpha should. I look at my brother and he knows something bad is happening. I give him a reassuring smile.

Me: I will see you at home little brother. Love you.

Dave: Please be carful and come back in one piece!

Me: Can’t make any promises but I’ll try.

I see the three of them get into Mikey’s truck and speed away. My heart sinks to my stomach watching my brother leave.

“Little one we need you get you out of here!”

“No Mikey. I’m not leaving them. Look Derek, Alpha to Alpha I’ll follow your lead. It’s your territory you call the shots. What’s it gonna be!”

“Fine but don’t get in my way got it”

I nod my head agreeing.

Me: Uncle Lu, uncle Xavier!!!

Uncle Xavier: Hi baby girl how is the party?

Me: Uncle Xavier there’s vampires at the part and they are trying to kill us!

Uncle Lucas: Princess where are you where are the boys and Alice!”

Me: I can’t keep the link open for much longer. Everyone is ordered to go home and to help the humans. I gave orders to lock down the borders! I need to go.

With that the mind link was cut. I know I’m part vampire but I’ve never really fought a full on vampire up until today. There’s so many of them. People start leaving in pairs and start taking humans with them; well that was until one vampire decided to get a little rough with a she wolf and another starts chasing after a car with humans inside.

Let the goddess herself be with us all because there’s more of them than there is of us. But we have one little advantage and that’s me, Mikey and Lu. I need to keep in mind that I’m not allowed to shift into my wolf no matter the circumstances.

Let this fight begin.
